because it's up to Nole who wins against him and who doesnt.... this time he was in a bad shape..... but thx for your question :D (and I'm not a radical Djoko fan, before u say anything...)
That is simply unrealistic as we all know Novak is the absolute best. However, it is possible that someone simply plays better on a specific day, and that is what Novak just said.
I think he's still celebrating his Gold medal win from the Olympics, he just doesn't wanna say it cuz he would look stupid. He said the Gold medal win was the BIGGEST win of his career. I would think his 7 Wimbledon titles would be the biggest win. That Gold medal match took so much out of him physically and mentally, he was not 100% and just lost to Carlos at Wimbledon. He's prob still reliving that moment and frankly, who could blame him?
Maybe just maybe he lost to a better player, no excuses, isn't Novak supposed to be the iron man of tennis, the most toughest player mentally blah blah, except for when he loses
Winning the Gold medal probably took a lot of mental steam out of Novak. He also played doubles there, very exhausting. He had the great year in 2021 where he won the first 3 slams then crashed ( by his standards ) in the Olympics and lost in the US Open final. At his age if he can’t be 100% physically he would have to be 100% mentally to overcome that. Now that he won his Gold, what will still motivate him? Just my thought.
If Joko didn't play the Olympics in 2021, he could've won the calendar grand slam. But he went to Tokyo and lost in SF, then to try recover in time for the U. S. Open, it was too late. He ran out of gas in NY. Now looking back it cost him the Grand Slam
Bro, you lost because of one reason and one reason only: Alexei played much better than you. You and (especially) your fans need to stop making excuses.
Ridiculous! What, Djokovic only loses because he was playing badly? His game looked fine to me. He was just blasted off the court by a younger, fitter guy. Popyrin was on fire. He totally deserved that win👏 🔥 ❤
if you follow tennis for the past 14 years, than you know that that is the case…he only loses when he doesnt play his level, because he is objectively the best player to walk the earth.
By saying he played some of his worst tennis, he disrespected his opponent. This is why he'll never be loved the way Rafa and Roger are. No matter how many records he breaks, his arrogance lets him down.
Joko is waiting to break Margaret Court's record of 24 slams, then he will retire. He does not want to be tied with Margaret, he is waiting for one more grand slam title #25

@@middleoftheroad1 not actually. From your answer one can feel the hate you have towards him. Alcaraz just lost against Monfils and said it was the worst match he played in his life. Federer lost against Djokovic in US open and took away all the credit from that win. Nadal lost against Berdych and told him at the net ‘very bad, you played very bad’. For someone with Novak’s caliber it’s obvious that he has to have a bad day in order to lose because he is objectively too good for the rest of the field. So he just stated the obvious issues he had, thats it.
@@ladro_magro5737 it's hard to explain how someone that is objectively too good for the rest of the field has not won an ATP tournament this year. That makes a lot of sense.
@@middleoftheroad1 lol, now I understand who Im dealing with. You are talking about a person who won 3 gland slams and was a finalist in 4th last year. Someone who broke all possible records. He’s burnt out from winning the gold
Yes, that's what I think too
What about the rest of the year?
He’s gotta dig deeper and deeper to find his existential reason for aiming higher. I can only imagine what he finds down there if anything at all.
HE WANTED TO WIN ALL 4 SLAMS AND THE GOLD THIS YEAR. SETTLES FOR THE GOLD.

Djokovic did not play doubles at the Olympics. Either way it was an exhausting summer, not to mention Popyrin played amazing.
