Thank you very much! There are fairly accomplished drummers in my part of the world who commonly play a rhythm they refer to as "samba" which, confusingly, isn't a Samba pattern. (It starts on the wrong part of the beat and is much simplified.) The Brazilian Samba is more nuanced and complex, much more fascinating and satisfying to hear, and likely more difficult to play convincingly, so I'm really grateful you were willing to break it down for us like this. Thanks again! 💙🪇

This is a great explanation! I just know it by ear but it’s great the way how you broke the sound and timing down!

These rhythm patterns remind me of some of the great Walter Wanderly recordings out of Brazil. The authentic feel and sound.

Señor Jovino Santos Neto muchísimas gracias. Thank you so much. What a beautiful, transparent and “”””easy”””to follow tutorial. You are certainly right a lot of practice is needed. Nevertheless this rhythm is just something. What a thrill. So I need to practice a lot and hopefully soon I will be able to play this beautiful rhythm. Hopefully in this life. Again thank you so much. Such an INSPIRATION. Greetings from Spain. OM AH HUM VAJRA GURU SIDDHI HUM.

How do you get your right hand so staccato? I can get that sound pretty easily on guitar by releasing my left hand at key moments. On piano it is more challenging! LOL

Oi! Gostei do vídeo. Sou brasileira e estou aprendendo a tocar. Você dá aulas online? Parece que vc é um professor incrível! Quero muito aprender a tocar Cazuza e Caetano Veloso. Porém não vi o tutorial das músicas na internet. 😔

Weird teaching, I hear how the left hand is playing but, can't play for 10 min straight(rewatching doesn't help) and since you give zero explanation about learning the piano rythm by the right hand, you just play fast, it looks like you hit 3 notes and sometimes ad A, but still it's not that rhyhtm, if you had a clear presentation or show exacly how you play slowly and then fast as good teachers do, it would have been nice or show noes via sofware like syntesia, sad.
