🇳🇱 Debs in Netherlands (10-Feb-2001)

Unfortunately it seems I was more interested in filming my South African wifey of two months than the scenery in the Netherlands ... well, we were living apart (her in London and me in Helsinki) ... understandably, I was happy to see her again.
So apologies that there's mostly footage of my wife and just a little bit of the Netherlands.
I think most of the footage is in Den Haag (The Hague).
As Debs had found it difficult to find a job in Helsinki a few years earlier, we were looking at either moving to the Netherlands (as Debs can speak Afrikaans) or moving to Cambridge in the UK.
To be honest, we hated the trip to the Netherlands - sorry, but that was our honest experience ... I will accept the dislikes 👎 ... so I ended up taking the job in the UK rather than the job in the Netherlands.
I remember arriving in Amsterdam from Helsinki, catching a train to near where the hotel was, and then having to trudge in the rain, at night, to the hotel as there were no taxis at the station ... awesome first experience. I ended up catching something that gave me a lingering cough for the next year, so ... yeah.

I wouldn't know one place from the other, although I've been to the UK (stuck in the airport - hardly counts).
