Don't really understand why some people get so protective about the peace of tarmac outside the house that they don't own. I recently had new people move in next door to me and the guy asked about any parking issues. I said no problems your welcome to park outside my house and if I'm not home you can park on my drive but please don't park on the grass as I look after it. Never ever had a problem and my grass still looks nice 🤣

Anyway great story man, sounds like the guy was an absolute crazy, glad you came out of it unscathed! Your story was awesome. I don't particularly like violence but a good clean fight between blokes just has to happen sometimes. Not that he was fighting clean but really what else were you going to do? If he had already damaged your van and was still that angry, you weren't gonna get out of there without a fight! Good on ya for not being the one that got their are kicked.

I met one of them once
I had arrived in the outskirts of some random place in my lorry, to pick up something I had bought on Ebay. It was too late to go to the house, so I parked up for the night behind a petrol station, on a dead end road on the edge of a housing estate. Perfect (I thought)
I got woken up with a BAM BAM BAM & lots of shouting.
At 1st I was just mystified.
Mr Angry was completely freaking out, saying I was blocking his drive (I was on the other side of the road, and not blocking it at all)
I almost found it funny, and offered to drive his car out for him, then he started hitting the truck, windows, mirror etc.
Still pretty bleary, i kind of lost it at that point, shouting back, & pushing him away.
Luckily (I guess) he had to go to work, so shouting & swearing, off he went in his bmw.
Pretty wired, I went back in for a tea, then back to bed for a bit.
The nice ending was when I went to drive away, I found a hand written note on the window, apparently from another neighbor, saying:
"Thankyou so much for putting him in his place. I live next to him, and he makes my life a misery!"
I've still got that note. :)
By the way, I saw your transit conversion. (window smash vid) Nice job. How annoying is the roof woodwork?

been in a similar situation and by christ did i feel good afterwards , cost me £60 quid though, but he was a wife beater and probably didnt expect little old me to react, cheers from Scotland and a new sub.

Haven't watched you for a while mate but you came up on my feed. Kudos to you man for standing up for yourself. Self defence knowledge is so important these days with so many nutters being around! My mate got put in jail because he told the wrong people about his experience. They went round and threw acid in the perpetrators face. My mate didn't have a clue why they arrested him at the beginning. So be careful about the nutters you tell about the other nutters! Lol

Years ago I took my 3 lads to a big park to play on a big slide , they were 9,10,8 , there was a little lad playing with them quite happily , I was alone and watching , all of a sudden this man came over to me and started for no reason , he was the little lads dad , he told me to fuck off , off the playground , I said why ? He said don’t think cos your a woman I wont f punch you , So I said you do that I will punch you back , it was really horrible , was so angry and upset .. I walked over to my lads and said come on we, re going …… never forgot it …

Had the same sort of thing when I worked at the local Chinese in Conisbrough, it was winter and I was struggling to get up a hill in the snow , so just parked and decided to walk rest of way but my bumper was slightly over this blokes drive.
On the way to deliver the food I heard muffled shouts in the wind and snow but carried on not knowing where it came from. Got back to car about a few minutes later, and he came out shouting that I'd completely blocked his drive. I explained I had to stop because I couldn't get up the hill but he still gobbed off, so politely told him to feck off and get a life and got back in car, and sat there for a few minutes just to watch him standing there by the window shouting at himself now lol, even in my new job there are people that ring in to complain that the dustbin wagon that I'm driving touches a wheel on their drive to turn around, in tight places because the morons park on the road in dead end streets instead of their drives.
I'm afraid the Karens and Keith's are all around us lol.

You had to defend yourself from crazy.. end of.. why can't people just be reasonable in life..? Glad you chased him, bad behaviour has to be challenged.. I'm a 5 ft asian female from east end of london..unfortunately, got into many fights myself..but you do what you have to in defending yourself.. i had a bus window smashed into my face once by 2 blokes who were high on some sort of drug..they hit me in the back of my head with rolled up newspaper..not having a dad..i've always worn the pants in my home and wasn't having it..after a big argument they egged each other on and said i was leaving the bus in a body bag..the bloke next to me got off the bus in fright as they threatened him for sitting next to me and bus was packed with people standing but they were too scared to go and just inform the bus driver.. anyway long story short..as they passed by to get off the bus, one of them got right in my face spitting as he was threatening me, i hit him..just to defend myself, i knew it would get worse but i was blocked in and had nowhere to go..they ran off the bus and smashed the window with something..resulting in some glass in my face..yeah some people are just dumb and love to fight, but i've always said..you must always defend yourself with whatever means necessary from these crazy loons, sorry it interfered with your van life..
just had to move from lancashire as we had our car done over by locals who didnt like the fact i am 47 and still use the skatepark.... shoudl be for there kids only... anyways... just bought a merc 2004 13 seater minibus to convert :) so now we are in wales ..... :)

Sounds like the guy had massive anger issues. Need to be careful tho, incident in Somerset left 2 people dead over a parking space near Christmas time. Two kids lost their parents. It’s not worth it. The world is mad, stay safe.

Weird stuff happens with vans. In our little new town they built a big new fk off church and a car park in the front. I noticed it was open thus evening cos it had the light on and the shutters open so I gave it a buzz but the front doors were locked and there was a children's nursery going on so I knocked the door and a woman came out and said what do you want? And I said I want to talk to the vicar and she says we'll you can't cos he doesn't live here so I says why did you put that inscribed corner stone in the wall in 1999 and she says that was because they did some rebuilding on the original foundations that are 300 years old so I said could not be because I was picking spuds in the field here and that was 50 years ago and I was here in 1976 when the church went up so to cover up her bs she started saying we'll do you know where this place and that place is that's where the old church was 🎶😌
So far be it from any humble local person going in to use the church the car park is full of luxury Mercedes and audi Black SUVs so it's just for the we'll off. But I already knew that cos I had parked my stush T4 in there once but it was very tight cos the car park was again full for church "activities" but i thought it wd be alright as I am only going to be in the shop less than five but when I got back there was a guy jumping about near his car that never said anything but when I looked at my van he'd keyed right down the side of it. Unbelievable (but true)

We had a campervan 20 year old on a sprinter. Visiting mum for a few days and we parked on the spare parking in the Close. Two men from the Council turned up at my mums door asking about our van and saying the neighbours rang reporting "travellers" have parked up. Never know the council to come round so fast. Obviously a neighbour didn't like campervans and the travelling reference was probably because my mum is Irish. Disgusting attitude but at least it was non violent because I held my mum back. 🤣
