The one thing I like about these interviews is that the interviewers are genuinely invested in the artists. It's not just a front... But you can tell that they are true students of hip-hop.
They actually interested in the people that they interviewed and do they homework. They want the audience to get to know the greatness of artist and the person

It's definitely a classic. C-Murder & UGK - Akickdoe was trying to come for Break em off Something's #1 spot. P messed up Akickdoe with all those ad libs though 🤣
Bro. I've watched most of these videos related to Bun B's interview and I have a new found respect for the man. He's very intellegnt and very articulate. Also, the stories are amazing
My dad was one of those promoters Bun B talked about “cleaning up money” 😂 as a matter of fact UGK and Spice 1 were my dads first show! He brought them to Amarillo tx back in ‘92. DJ Quik was supposed to show up, but the song Jus Lyke Compton had just came out and he was scared to come to Tx. My dad said Bun is such a down to earth dude, every time he went to Houston Bun showed him love! 💪🏾
@@youngtone2663Go listen to the sound “Jus Lyke Compton” in that song Quik went to San Antonio and had a bad experience with some gangbangers. My dad said Quik must’ve thought all of Texas was like that.
Yeah because they were black owned & independent making money. The big labels were upset they weren't getting piece of the action so they started signing southern artist & buying out the independent labels to get the sales & control southern rap hence the sound out today not as good as when the indies were running things

When I first heard Bun B I didn't even know who he was but kept hearing him on different mixtapes back in the early 2000's and knew then he the hardest ever!
I think Bun confused songs. The verse Bun is talking about is the Outro from the Carter IV, not Grand Finale. If you listen in the interview Bun said Nas came after him and they had to stretch the beginning of Nas' verse. That was the Outro.
