James Cobb Yep, I agree. It's not hyperbole when I say this is the most interesting GCN video I've watched in the year I've been subscribed. It definitely felt like we were getting more info than what is normally churned out by the regular outlets.
Slotting the sprinter directly in front of the strongest TT rider makes a lot of sense. I wonder if leadout riders would have an edge over both TT specialist and sprinters because they specialize in high intensity sustained efforts over short-medium distances.
Global Cycling Network its the FPS your using. The interview looks fine quality wise just not the time trial clips you used. 50fps looks really weird and as if the video is fake if that makes sense?
Where is the "hardest" position in a team time trial relative to a guy with a monster engine? For example, if you were riding on a team with Tony Martin, where would you NOT want to ride?
Michael Fiola From what Robby Ketchell said it would be the guy who rides on the front just before Martin. i.e. when his effort is finished and Martin is at the front that guy will have a hard job to accelerate onto the back of the line.
Global Cycling Network Yeah id love to but id get dropped on the ramp. I do 600watt 30 second x10 intervals on the wattbike and im average. I was trying to say they doing more watts than hes letting on. ps. you have made my day replying to me ;-)
I think Sky team for the Giro is different cos they have climbers but they did beat OGE in TT in Tour De Romandie just a week ago with their other team
Videos like this are great, it's really interesting to see the sport science behind the performances. Thanks GCN!
James Cobb Thanks James.

Your clips aimed at new cyclists are great, but this level of detail is really interesting. More please!
Incredibly interesting interview. Thanks.

Yeah it is so true, once u drop back to the back of the peloton, it takes more energy to stick to the last rider
This guy is brilliant.
Brilliant, loved this
Is it just me or is youtube's video quality crap as of the past few days (yes I'm running 1080).
oisiaa We haven't had any other complaints - not sure what it is, but please let us know if you continue to have problems.
oisiaa mine too looks really crap in 1080
Having the same problem
oisiaa Yep, same issue with this video. Not just you.

OK, how do I get this guy's job? Seriously. So awesome.
Nick Hudson I believe Robbie had a degree by the time he was 16. So in answer to your question, you need a special brain!
Dan

like racing horses?
i'm here too
I guess he's gonna have a lot of work to do after team sky's performance in this giro's TTT
I what the video highlights is that its not the facts you need to place an awful lot of emphasis on its the interpretation of the facts that counts.
" do you collect their rate of perceived effort" 6.03 - on a perception meter attached to the riders ego I guess
How do i get a GCN clothes
JH-Anlæg Hinnerup right here -> globalcyclingnetwork.spreadshirt.co.uk
Nice German Flag!
600 bloody watts
600 watts for 30 seconds every 4 mins ain't impressive I'd say they be doing more like 800
craig reynolds You fancy having a stab at a World Tour TTT do ya Craig? ;-)

ranzerkoenig Auf gehts!
All this data analysis and nothing to show for it.
Bunch of Aussies just sucked it up and rode fast. That's how it's done.
I think Sky team for the Giro is different cos they have climbers but they did beat OGE in TT in Tour De Romandie just a week ago with their other team
higdawg Yes (yawn) that's how it's done. You just show up and go for it. Nothing else needed other than to suck it up...
