I cleaned out the garage and had 80 new cardboard shipping boxes for sale. Put them on Marketplace in lots of 20. Got dicked around by no less than 40 people over five weeks. Hardest $200 I ever made. Love the Mini. Cheers.
@@DarrylSheather Maybe. The throttle lag I have is more noticeable on smooth accelerations. For example when entering a roundabout or a junction. You accelerate slowly but you want swift response because another car is coming. It’s like 1.5 seconds to “wake up”
Went out tonight and I can replicate it. If you're on a steady throttle and floor the accelerator it's definitely turbo lag for a moment until it spools up and shoots off. Maybe some ECU mapping would help but better throttle control is the answer. Squeezing the accelerator rather than flooring it is the answer. :)

Very nice mate 👌. It would be a blast just like a go-kart.
Thanks mate
Your experience with Facebook marketplace sounds about right
It an interesting place!
It makes no sense why people use it. The search function is crap, the sort is horrible. Takes forever to scroll through everything. Sigh.
Hi! noticing any throttle lag ? (not turbo lag)
specially when not on sport. Also got a jcw clubman a couple of weeks ago :)
Can’t say I do, are you in sport more and really noticing it when going back to something else?

These car do not have any throttle lack. It's all computer controlled and faster than any human will ever be.

Plan on used Mini repairs to cost more than house maintenance or health care.
The gen 3 mini (2016+) fixed all the past issues. Today it's a very reliable and extremely well made car.
I have my fingers crossed this is the case, that said I'm not afraid of DIY repairs either. Seems the parts aren't any more exxy than anything else.
