    Thanks Tony...The Lord removed me from Roman Catholicism 40 years ago. I am a reformed protestant by His Grace. I like a lot of your stuff... I wish in this program I could see the slides ...but thanks for the great content.

    Mr Tony, I'm so grateful for this. I joined Catholicism in high school and 1 month in, in a dream God told me to get out so I did. I have however gotten the desire to do apologetics and had a lot of questions on how to approach the Catechism of The Roman Catholic Church. I went to a Roman Cath..Church this week and no one including the 'father' had guidance whatsoever on how the book is to be approached, lol. Cult 101

    An important point is that Christ's prime command/action to "love one another" or "feed My sheep" appears to be minimal or absent among millions of Christian shepherds and their flock. The future of Christianity depends upon it.
    "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,"-Heb 10:24; "Thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require my sheep at their hand and put a stop to their feeding the sheep. No longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them. "-Ez 34:10

    I am standing for a Protestant beliefs, but I am amazed how many misrepresentations of catholic faith are in this video
    Like purgatory being a second chance or claiming that Catholicism is Roman, than it has another 23 rites
    It’s dangerous to defeat straw-man arguments, cause when people will find out that some of these claims are actually misrepresentation of an actual teaching, they can overreact, therefore believing in every other catholic apologetics claims
    We must not oversimplify the other view to win a battle, we must be charitable to give Catholicism its best and refute on that standing

      Where did I say purgatory is a second chance? I think you are misrepresenting my position.

      47:05 u said “there’s no second chance” in context of speaking about purgatory

      @@user-cn8ps9op8r incorrect. I was exegeting Hebrews 9:27. Religions like Hinduism and Buddhism teach a second and many other chances through their doctrine of reincarnation.
      Purgatory is a temporary purging before the soul is admitted to heaven in Roman Catholic theology. I made that clear.

    This was a good presentation of refuting Roman Catholicism.
    However, this does not convince me to yoke myself together with the non-denominational/evangelical churches who do not care about pastoring, ministering to the sheep. what Roman Catholicism has that non-denominational churches lack are thriving ministries to help the poor, widows, orphan and the unborn. in contrast, when i attended 7-12 different protestant, non-denominational churches over the years, they all lacked these ministries. they are good at entertainment and conferences and focusing on self, but totally neglect feeding their own flock as well as the lost sheep. i pray for these churches to wake up and become one in spirit with Christ. i’ll never become RC, but serious issues need to be addressed in evangelical churches.

    You claimed Catholicism as ideology??? Did Jesus start an ideology? Did Jesus tell his apostles it is just some new ideas? When you left the Catholic Church, no matter how you polish up your words, n mince your ideas you'll end up trashing it.
    Wrong. The Catholic Church is the the original from Jesus and its Roman because its where St Paul went n later St Peter's remains were moved n buried in St Peter's Basilica.

      If this is true, then at the bare minimum, Jesus would have left his one true church with the correct Old Testament scriptures, no more and no less. Can you name one Jew either prior to or contemporary with the time of Christ who held to the exact 46 books of the Catholic Old Testament that Roman Catholics do today? Can you mention at least one early Christian writing prior to Augustine in the late fourth century who had this identical canon? Because we can go as far back as the first and second centuries for the Protestant OT, from numerous examples from both Jewish and Christian sources. If you cannot, then your conceding that the Roman catholic Old Testament with the seven extra books are a later addition to the Septuagint. remember, my challenge to you is the identical old testament canon, not just some books.

      @@BornAgainRN I'm curious to know which Christian sources you are referring to?
      We know that some early Christians accepted books that we do not accept in the Bible, such as Clement

    • @BornAgainRN
      @BornAgainRN Год назад +4

      @@gto2111 Bryennios’ list is second century and most likely Christian since the order of the books of the Torah are out of order, something a Jew would not do. Aphilochius’ list is also most probably a Christian list too. Origen’s list is also identical. And these are just a few and only the Christian lists. Aquila, Baba Bathra 14b, Josephus naming “only 22” books which are identical, all the same as Protestant OT canons. The Catholic OT canon? Not until at least the end of the fourth century- and even that is disputed.

      @@BornAgainRN Your protestant churches began in which century?
      Jesus trusted His Apostles to be His faithful followers and the Church by the 4th Century had the bible. The protestant churches are created to protest and as tradition dictated, protestors even from Jesus' time didn't obey the Master well. 🤦🏼‍♂️

    • @CHSCRTE
      @CHSCRTE Год назад

      @@BornAgainRN You questioned what is true? What do you know about Truth?
      What is THE TRUTH IN PROTESTANTISM?
      So, you started new churches because you disagreed with the canonical books or because you're justifying anti catholicism traditions? The deuterocanonicals are not problems but instead extra THEOLOGICAL (not ideological) understanding.
