Went horseriding there on galloping platform or mile as the locals called it from the Sani Pass Hotels stables then.Gday from 🇦🇺 Australia 🪃 🪃 😊 Great experience in the 70s.....
hi, thanks for the video. do you think (wild) camping in lesotho is safe? I am planning to visit lesotho late this year but kind of worried after checking out the crime rate there… but can tell it is certainly a beautiful country.
We were fortunate to find two lovely wild-camp spots on the iOverlander app. At the first spot, a local approached us and we asked if we could stay the night. He gave his blessings and stayed around for a bit, watching us set up camp and curious about our equipment. At the second spot, a father and a young child were busy chopping wood. The child stood with us in awe as we pitched the tent and settled in for the night. Unfortunately, we observed that the younger generation doesn't hold the same values as the older generations, as we were told and experienced. While driving around in Lesotho, we were even pelted with stones on the road for not giving them sweets when they asked. If you're concerned, Lesotho offers many lovely campsites to choose from. While wild camping was enjoyable, it's essential to be cautious about where you set up and always seek permission from locals before using their land.

YES! it's so beautiful.
Great video. Are you allowed to wild camp anywhere in Lesotho? Or are there designated areas only?
We used the iOverlander app to locate the spots, but chat with a local first before setting up camp.
@@ForThisLife Thank you for the feedback.
