@@smnomad9276 Manjaro is a good way to "dip your toes" into Arch. It gives a introduction to the Arch way of doing things. Arco is a bit more advanced and it's better to have some Arch knowledge before hand.

Nope, Manjaro is NOT ARCH. It is based on Arch but it breaks the mold by holding packages back, doesnt even use the real arch repos. That would be like calling Ubuntu, Debian. The rest on your list are good as Arch distros.
Even Opensuse tumbleweed does the same things Manjaro is a good distro without manjaro there is no arch linux distros because manjaro has manjaro hardware tool called mhwd which is used by several arch based distros
Antergos was my favourite before it died and then I stopped being lazy and switched to vanilla Arch. I did use Manjaro occasionally but it broke on me a few times and I agree with those who say if you want to try Arch you may as well go for the real deal. Its not that difficult to install especially there now being an installation script.
It is just me, or is the audio all AI? The intonation is really weird and static. Sometimes you can very clearly hear the transition between voice lines, since the AI can't smoothly transition tonally.
Also to me, its better to just the the root. So Debian, Fedora, Arch. None of them are really that hard to install and trouble shoot. Plus most of them dont have tons of things changed. I have Arch on my main PC and the media server. I have Debian 12 on my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 (really old with 4g ram 120g ssd, mainly for testing, but it might get Arch on it soon), and the rest of the family are using Fedora, but maybe switching them over to Arch as well as they have all been using Fedora since 36 and have no issues.
Utter garbage. Do some research. Archlabs is discontinued, and saying Manjaro is stable and good for new users. is laughable. For everyone who want's something like arch, just use arch.
@@mikeontheboxYes. I'ts basically arch preconfigured. I would still recommend vanilla arch though if you are a beginner, to learn how the system works, in case if you need to fix/change anything.
As pointed out Archlabs has called it quits that was 06-07-2023. Manjaro should never be considered arch as it holds back packages and is not a true rolling release. Last you give no real examples of why these stick out over the other half a million arch based distro's? Maybe half a million is a little over however it still points to the fact that there are a lot of them and I see no reason to use any of these over those so how are they the best? These are seemingly the most popular.
I think ARTIX, and CACHY OS are THE best.. and I've tried almost all of them from debian, arch, fedora, all that variety.. but as to arch- ARTIX is super good. and CACHY is THE BEST -- period. The rest are too bloated. or too over done- or NOT done enough.. and just NOT up to the standard.
Manjaro and Garuda are 'based ' on Arch. But they aren't Arch . At least Garuda is amazing distro giving a lot features out of the box. As for Manjaro ..no reason to be here. Is super buggy , installing a package from AUR , it ruins the system in every major update and destroys the Grub. Worse, is making system unbootable. So many years they never fix that issue so for me Manjaro is 'deleted' from existence . Another based on Arch distro you forgot is CachyOS . Super fast using BORE v3 kernels giving +11%-14% more performance than basic kernels because take advantage on new generations CPUs instructions. Plus Archlabs stopped.
For those who don't have the patience:
0:59 - Endeavour OS
1:40 - Manjaro Linux
2:13 - Garuda Linux
2:40 - Arco Linux
3:09 - ArchLabs
I used Manjaro as a daily driver for years with no issues. Recently switched to Arco and am enjoying it just as much.
Do you think it is easy to use for someone new to arch? Is it stable? I have used Ubuntu for years and thinking about switching to arch.
