« Ensorcelée » is a underestimated treasure.
« Je vais vite » was not a good first choice, in my own opinion. Should have been earlier songs.
I think you’d like her earlier works though. I think her biggest success was « Je serai ». I was a fan of hers as a teenager, but « Je vais vite » was the end for me.
Look for : Je serai, Sur un air Latino, Ensorcelée or maybe even S.O.S. Even "À 20 ans" was better than this !!
The problem, like someone else has said, is that in her first years of success, she had a lot of fans in the age of 9-12 and she was labeled as a singer for pre-teens. Her songs were always a little soppy. She tried too hard to change that with this album. Too hard and it shows.

Honestly, "Je serai (ta meilleure amie)" is not that good. It's one of the most famous songs of his career and nostalgia plays a big role for us but it's not incredible. That's just my opinion.
"Je vais vite" is not an amazing song but for the era she was in and the change of image, it was the perfect single and song.
"2LOR EN MOI" is a good album ! Not the best but she takes risks and in a certain point it was good.
Then, I don't think he should have started listening to older songs, at least to get familiar with the artist, because the first tunes are too childish. They are good but it's better to discover Lorie as a mature artist and go down to her early days.
@@matt_chgns454 You're right, it has a lot to do with nostalgia. However I believe "Sur un air Latino" or "Ensorcelée" would have been better choices. Basically anything from the Williams Era, in my own opinion. :)
No. It's the state of the music market. People don't buy music anymore and online platforms don't pay that well. They have data feedback and their own fanbase grow up. The artists themselves evolve and have new tastes. Alizée is good exemple of music evolving from "teen" to rock. Lorie tried to catch the tectonic trend but there is no guaranty she would have earn more with other genres, especially with the states of the market since 2000.
For me, "Sur un air latino" is the best song of Lorie !
She was destined to be an ice dancer skating but due to an early knee injury, she was forced to abandon the competition when she was kid... Not her best song, but it's ok :)

She has numerous hits. "Je serai ta meilleure amie" ( I will be your best friend ) 11 000 000 views , "Sur un air latino ", "Toute seule "( All alone ) , "J'ai besoin d'amour "( I need love ) . . . Her positive lyrics are for kids or teenagers.

Interesting that you immediately compared it to Kylie Minogue as the album was co-produced by some of Kylie's producers. Even if you didn't like it, you should still check out some of Lorie's other songs as she was truly one of the biggest music stars in France and still is in terms of overall sales.

Pop françaises sur internet. Idole des pré-adolescentes dans les années 2000. Avec ce titre et ce clip elle a tenté de cassé son image de chanteuse pour les 8-12 ans avec peu de succès comme l'ont fait Britney puis par la suite Miley Cyrus. Aujourd'hui elle est actrice dans une série française. Pour ma part je n'ai jamais aimé ce qu'elle faisait mais je respectais l'artiste car elle avait une communauté de fans très solide et respectait ses fans. Tout comme ces fans la respectait et cela ce n'est pas donné à tous les artistes.
