And as this other comment says, a woman lost her life and a family lost a mother, a wife, and a lifetime filled with pain and regret based upon egos that all blamed the mom because she simply listened to a doctor in which I am sure she was desperate and scared for her daughter!
This is the best judge I have ever seen,,,,,he is a true reflection of how Justice should be handled , Thanks to his wife and family for sharing him for 9 weeks in this trial
I agree. He is so professional and treats the jury with the utmost respect. Although this part of the case has him ruffled, he handles himself very well.
The nurse in pink rolled her eyes too regarding this question. What a tool she is. Trying to make it sound like she's all this good nurse who cared for Maya's well being. 😅
I read the article and the 49 page government report with the findings - this is HUGE! The defense looks really shady misleading the judge about it today.
Yeah. There is always this possibility. But the longer it takes, the more difficult it is for the hospital to keep this out of the main stream media. They have to protect their reputation. Netflix is waiting for episode 2 🤣
Most likely outcome. This trial means very little. If the Ks win and JHACH win an appeal, Anderson could petition for a loan for of the awarded amount. Only problem is that they will need to pay it back if it’s overturned. Netflix and book release are their insurance policy. The story of maya will fade away into the abyss and she will draw her desperate need for attention through social media. Anderson will then get on will trawling the streets for more victims to exploit. Same old same old 🤷♂️
Your thinking this family is the only one with a case there are hundreds of family's lining up to do the same thing to jhatch they need it rested or the hospital sold and renamed
6:44:35 I like this fella. I know he is a doctor but he testified he hasn’t practiced medicine as a OB/GYN in many years due to his own medical condition…he has however sat on hospital boards & committees and had more of a corporate role and responsibility. Out of all the ‘expert’ witnesses we’ve heard from, I found his testimony very credible. He clearly knows the ins and outs of large corporate institutions and has done his research. He articulates himself well in a manner that’s easy to follow. I feel like he’s earned his fee…unlike other ‘experts’ we’ve heard from in this case. Who knew he’d drop this bombshell on the last day of testimony though?! Is this a tactic??
@@helensmusings yea I guess they were waiting for the defense hospital administration expert to testify that JHACH was operating at a satisfactory standard
@cathbooth1980 he's the only one testifying for free because he is so outraged at the hospitals behaviour, I get the feeling this one has been a very long play in the making. There's so much ground work you have to lay to get it all in the right place, it's a masterful job of the lawyers Anderson and Whitney
Hold on here a second!!! Medical people do NOT communicate by phone by mail by facebook once a patient is discharged....no matter how "close" you are to the patient. that is unethical! And NOPE we dont go to work on a day off to provide "condolences" to a patient losing a family member. Get real lawyer. OMG WHAT BS IS THIS?????
And staff sure as heck do NOT take personal pictures of their patients....this is NOT a friendship...its a MEDICAL relationship. it is UNETHICAL AND AGAINST NURSING PROFESIONNALISM
Take a drink every time Amanda Flores says “shopkins” to try and prove how well she knew Maya 😵💫 This might have been the most scripted testimony yet, felt so rehearsed with key phrases we’ve heard over and over again and when she gave a response to a question she wasn’t prepped for you could immediately see her expression flatten like she was pondering if that was the right thing to say. And why did she keep fake smiling at such inappropriate times!!? Uuugh this woman’s chaotic and sporadic expressions are deeply unsettling…
It's really really stressful testifying in court. People cope in different ways. Don't forget these people have had their nursing notes to refresh with and we've seen Shopkins mentioned a bit in those notes. Also not a lot of patients are there for 14 weeks, at least not kids like Maya who weren't gravely ill and could interact with others all day every day She'd have probably stood out.
OMG-Amanda Flores expressions, statements, and taking of patient's medical information on her phone (without patient or parental knowledge) off JH premises-HIPPPA violation!!!
found the article. it states "All Children's had widespread problems with communication. "There was no evidence of any lines of communication or accountability" between risk ,anagement and "any of the 17 committees, councils, and departments"

Anderson: Whose hands are in the picture? MK: The 2 on the left are mine....the other one is not mine. 😂 Surprised they aren't claiming the hospital made her grow a 3rd hand😣, such a charade.
That was funny. She has no idea about those pics. 2 sets. one before she left and one when she came back. the one in the wheelchair may have been made at a different time.
@@Estimator00 She probably can't remember much other than what she's been coached by her attorneys to say. She didn't do herself any favors with her attitude, I was waiting for her head to start spinning😮
The line of questioning about the EEG room has been so misleading. Plaintiff’s lawyer keeps referring to her being “taken DOWN to the surveillance room” as if it was some creepy dark surveillance room in the basement. Even the nurse today was so confused as to what he was talking about. I don’t think defense did a good job of attempting to clarify that until today. It was literally just a regular hospital room on the same floor right next to the nurses station but it happened to have extra equipment in it. And zero evidence of mistreatment came out from that video. I don’t believe for a single second she was allowed to defecate on herself. Even the video shows a nurse transferring her to a commode that’s like 1-2 feet from the bed exactly as you would expect. A commode would never be left touching a patients bed as if a patient would be allowed to just roll over and go whenever they wanted. When someone is wheelchair bound they’re most likely going to just pivot them onto a commode exactly like they did with her in the video. That whole line of questioning was extremely misleading and to me seems like they’re making up stories about abusive treatment in the hospital.
I knew the defense was slimy, but I just thought that is how they are. Now withholding evidence and misleading the jury is, well, I have never seen anything like this. Wow!
According to Maya, Ms. Bedy was always there. Ms. Bedy probably lived in the hospital, no days off, no other patients to visit. She's super extra special.
Literally nothing Maya has said at this trial is credible. She's just so used to "grown-ups" just accepting on face value EVERYTHING she says, no matter how counter-factual, or childishly obvious the falsehood, that she can't help but lie with complete abandon as a default.
What bothers me about today's testimony was that the defense was trying to communicate to the jury the fact that Maya is fine now, no medical problems. BUT that is not the point; the point is how she was treated during the 3 -1/2 months that she was in the hospital back in 2015 and how it had a lingering effect on her life.
All they want is to destroy Maya's credibility. Her tactic since day one has been to make her look like a liar and a bad person (strong focus on swearing, aggressive behaviour etc., pretending to be in pain) so that the jurors don't sympathise with her. In my opinion, it is a disgusting way to defend yourself and only shows that you have nothing more than that.
@@juliab5525I think the point of showing her swearing, and unruly behavior wasn't to show she was a bad person at all but to show the effects of Ketamine withdrawal.
The only lingering effect it had is her continued ability to breath and walk around. It also debunks the absurd claims she'll need a lifetime of K from the K-for-cash quacks to the tune of $5 million 💵💵💵
It’s so weird her not making eye contact with the lawyers AND judge, but she is facing, winking and smiling inappropriately to the jury. Hopefully, the jury isn’t buying her being fake.
That nurse was soooooo weird in so many ways! Who keeps smiling stupidly about nothing on a Witness stand in a Court room!??? That alone was so enormously distracting, the Jury will only remember how crazy her smiling was!
@@sallysantos524Religious freak! 😬 If that attitude walked into my sick room, S he’d be instructed to “walk w Christ, the f on out” of my room! There’s no room for her, & that Christian attitude in a hospital setting! Especially not from a nurse! Don’t even! 🤨
Reading most of these comments leads me to believe MOST of you have never had a child in the hosp. For a lengthy stay if ever. Some of you probably don’t even have children. You have no ideal what it is like when you have no clue how to help your child day in and day out and every single person/ doctor wants to tell you something different, and because your super stressed and have no clue how to help or what the real issue is, no one wants to listen, you don’t know who to believe, then because you recite what the last doctor told you or did now all the sudden you the mom is the issue. Give me a dang break. All that Mother wanted was for her baby to be back to just being a kid again and to not be in pain. Yea she was a nurse and a good one from what I have seen, but this hosp. Had too many young fresh out of med school nurses throwing up red flags over BS, which In turn pushed this mom to the breaking point to which she sacrificed her own life so her daughter could come back home to be with her family. 😢❤😢❤😢❤
Beata chose to scar her family for rest their lives by taking her life, in such a dramatic fashion. For being such a “spiritual and God fearing” person, she played God by taking her life rather than trusting God’s will.
My daughter died on the operating table. So yes I do know how it feels. After she died I wanted to be with her so badly but I had two sons that needed me. Only a very disturbed woman would do that. The hospital is not responsible for the "pain" Maya feels today and they are not responsible for Beata's death. These are some messed up folks
@@Estimator00 exactly! I’m so sorry for your loss💕 You are so strong for knowing and trusting God’s will for your life especially as a parent to your other children. May God shine His face upon you and your family.
I would like to start by stating that I was 100% pro-planiff at the beginning of the planiff case. I started to have my doubts near the end and then evidence during additional testimony in the defense case, had began to change my position. I was still trying to keep an open-mind until today, as the last witness for the planiff rebuttal completed her testimony. It sealed my position to stand behind the defense. Miya testified concerning her HS Homecoming photos with her 4 things she wanted to touch on - item number 4, she told the jury that “the defense went as far as to look up my friends account to get that picture!” Which we have now witnessed in real time of the situation throughout this entire case, ‘if she says it, doesn’t make it true.’ We have to rely on the evidence, not her interpretation of how she views the truth in her own mind. Hopefully, the jury picked up on this today and will rely on the evidence of truth in this case.
Likewise, I was side maya at the start and didn’t watch the Netflix doco because I knew I was primed to empathise. . I’m a mum and I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter and it was hard for me not to fall in the trap of placing myself in their position. My opinion evolved as the trial went on as I listened to the evidence and the compelling arguments from commenters. I still felt sorry for maya but I don’t have any for her now. I questioned myself constantly. In the end, team kowalski took on the opportunity of a life time - 200M and people will sell their souls for that kind of money. Greed is at the heart of this trial but no amount of money will fill their empty souls. However, I do have a soft spot for Kyle, his pain and loss is the only one I believe.
I agree and it was a mistake for Maya to testify specifically about the Homecoming pictures. I was a bit surprised. However, there are many problems with both sides in this case. But there won't be a $200M verdict.
I hope jury makes a decision based on evidence not sympathy. At the start plaintiff claimed JHACH starved Maya for 5 days. Later on it came out she was starved for 5 days prior to admittance to JHACH. It was Dr. Hannah who failed and sent his patient to JHACH. Based on evidence, JHACH was right. after release from hospital no ketamine, no flare ups to this date.
@@jllore1917I’ll admit that there is something the hospital is hiding and they won’t let go of that bone but it’s not enough to convince me that they should loose this case. The kowalskis case should never have come to trial.
Yeah I think the whole time she was up there it was very weird. She kept smiling at the jury like she was a cheerleader and the way she always turned and talked to the jury reminded me of Amber Hurd.
@@Chat_du_blondeyou mean like at 2:01:12 where the defense witness just starts cheesing real big at the jury? And how did everybody like the little show that was put on with her dad and getting her some meds from those assistants? She purposely mouthed the words on my legs in so much pain. She's seventeen years old. She could have gotten up, motioned to him, and walked out of the courtroom to get a pain pill ( if that was really what she took). It's all for show people.
The fact that the defense didn't present the 48 hour video in the eeg room proves she didn't walk or attempt to use her legs. It also proves she was left alone for a long time.
It proves nothing. There is no way the hospital left her alone for a length of time as all nursing notes were subpoenaed and were comprehensive and covered her whole admission. The defense didn't need to play anything.
@@sharonhoward884Nurses don’t note every hour for one pt it is usually either when meds are needed or like morning and night so there is a long period of time Maya could be left alone for. She doesn't even really look at either atty and smiles way too much at the jurors..she's just too immature. She acts like this is a silly joke and not to be taken seriously.
Maya is very well spoken. But, her testimony seems very rehearsed even dramatic. And I am left wondering how she remembers all these details that occured when she was age 10. I feel sad for her loss, but I just can’t buy the medical diagnosis and the “trauma” of being in shorts and a bra in the hospital. Working in a hospital, I have to say people are in robes with nothing on underneath. They tie in the back. This is normal in medical care. “Disrobing” “Stripped”. A little much. Sorry, testimony is a girl with an AMAZING memory and so rehearsed. She remembers everything but remembers NOTHING about cussing etc
They played like two teeny Snippets of it and defense lied and said that they lost all of it and I think they found it later may be in Evidence but we're not going to see it cuz it's 48 hours
Maya: “ I was stripped and de-robed down to my Shopkins Bra…most traumatic experience of my entire life, this traumatic event gave me PTSD, I’m now homebound and have no quality of life…BUT I can’t really remember all the details”
I don’t recall the planiffs calling a witness to confirm her claim of PTSD. Correct? I have PTSD and was hospitalized at a rehab facility following a traumatic event and then again years later following a trigger. PTSD changes your life immediately and forever. You learn to avoid certain situations that remind you of that trauma, in order to avoid a trigger. I’m really surprised that she’s there in court or listening to testimony that could trigger her PTSD. As she explains that has confined her. Today, was the first time that she displayed any discomfort of what was going on in court - and it was after her father’s testimony with the photos.
Yeah and it was hardly "stripped" she removed one article of clothing, a t-shirt and did this herself despite later saying she was totally dependent on others to dress and undress her. Also in the second set of photos, if you look, the t-shirt isn't even off. It is only pulled up at the back and is still on her body.
After the homecoming picture explanation, I think we're looking at someone who's been trained when to play the victim. Pain before (not specified where) but fine the next minute for pictures. Convenient.
That's not the point. She us suing the hospital for ruining her life. She claims she never goes out, has no friends, won't go to college, etc. This is all obviously a lie...

The problem is that you really can't trust maya's recall. It's clear that she cursed and carried on in the presence of several people and she doesn't remember a thing.
So what?? She is suing for 220 million based on the fact that her recall is more accurate. The fact that she lied in her opening statement that she never swore and is now going back on it. Not believable about anything.
She may have not remembered everything if she was going through withdrawal and/or in pain??? I know I don't remember everything when I'm in pain, soooo ya. Especially being 10, that's really young
Mayas and Jacks testimonies today were disingenuous and contradictory and Maya showed a vengeful attitude. They both shoe horned in excuses from baby books to my leg hurt. The nurses were lying on oath apparently. Not a good look and I do not believe the wise on the jury would have thought anything less.
We definitely got a glimpse of Maya today. She dropped her guard and her ego got the best of her. Thinking she might regret that slip when she reflects back.
“Maya showed a vengeful attitude” What a joke that is! Maya isn’t vengeful - she is the victim of that Hospital’s many atrocities against her and her Mother and her Father! The vengefulness is ALL from JHACH right from the start!
The question is what part those pictures played into the actual clinical diagnosis. According to them it was ordered by a physician, then by CPS, later ordered by the physician but approved by CPS and put in M.K. record. I don't know & don't get the point of them.
@@emmalethmayfair9742It has been stated numerous times that they were not put in her medical file. Bedy wrote about it in one note but the pictures were never put in her chart.

Maya is being totally coddled in this case. If an attorney says no further questions when do you ever see a witness brought back to the stand for a few questions more because they weren't happy. It's insane how much they are pandering to her. It was a bad idea though because we get a glimpse of the real Maya at 7:53
Bingo 🏆. The more Anderson had her on the stand the more likely she was going to slip up. And she did. It was ok for maya to bring on a trial where a hospital and countless staff were demonised in front of the whole world on the word of a 10yr old and she has the ordassidy to get angry about her false allegation of how photos that contradict her case were obtained. That’s maya in a nutshell, everyone else is to blame 🤷♂️
@MadisonsFriend184 Shapiro couldn't even look at Maya when he said "someone sent him an email." No doubt it was one of his staff. He's not a good liar.
Too many inconsistencies from Maya and Father. Maya sounds rehearsed. She was 9 or 10 however she is recalling the events as if she read it in a book or someone told her what happened. Her words are similar to how the lawyer asked questions of the other witnesses. Not convinced. All this is supposedly based on a 9/10 year old childs memory, who was in excruciating pain.
She always says “with CRPS…” or “people with CRPS” you are exactly on target…she read a book about people’s perception of their CRPS…she has never said “with MY CRPS…” it’s easy to catch a liar if you listen and point out her discrepancy’s
@@NrsLisa Spot on. A textual analysis would be very revealing, a forensic examination of a *transcript* of the testimony rather than an examination of a video of the testimony. @@NrsLisashe has said "my CRPS" on the stand before but I still don't believe she had it or has it. She claimed Dr Kirkpatrick took "hours and hours and hours" to carefully diagnose her and he testified to it being less than an hour. So many lies & a hunger for revenge.
Maybe 'Are you smarter than the deceased' since Maya had it ingrained in her to play the part from a small child, even before this particular event, up until the mother checked out. All this exaggeration comes directly from what she has been taught. Also think she is the one in the family pushing all the litigation. Jack just seems like a wet noodle that goes along with anything.
If all that comes out of this case is the fact that this hospital's dark little secrets about babies dying in their heart unit because of bad management comes to light then I will be happy. Too many times mistakes made are buried literally and figuratively and if this makes patients and family aware of this its good enough for me!!
That last recording played of beedy calling beata is 100% same voice interupting the calls between maya and her mum. More perjury from defence witnesses🙄
From a certain point (don't forget the DCF order changed 5 times) JHACH were told they could also supervise phone calls etc. This is because there were times over some weekends where DCF person wasn't available.
You all know that if Maya got the medications that Beata demanded and something bad happened, good ole Jack-o would be suing for malpractice and Anderson and “bro” Whitney would be singing a different tune but another one nonetheless …. The Kowalaskis were going to sue no matter what happened.
Any hospital was doomed once they darkened the doorstep and moved in. Sickening to think of all the time, good will, effort, grief, money… expended on this family’s issues compared to so many who get absolutely nothing.
If you're wondering why insurance is so expensive, it's partly to cover for Slip 'n Fall scam artists like these money-grubbing grifters who see suing people as an easy alternative to working for a living.
The fact that theu find relevance in Maya attending homecoming, halloween, or any other outong - 7 years AFTER JHACH terrorized her, is absolutely absurd! She's a teenage girl struggling to have a meaningful life after everything she's been through; why shouldn't she? Seems like the defense wants her to suffer for eternity, never leave her house, and forever be stuck in the mindset and social standing of a 10 year old child. Shameful.
Did you watch Maya’s deposition played on day 28?? She’s healthy, working out every morning, participating in PE class, and NO PAIN OR SIGNS OF CRPS and that was taken shortly after her hospital stay…
She said she rarely went out. Her quality of life wasn't good. If she is going to make that claim then yes it is on the table for evidence. The Kowalskis are claiming compensation for that.
She has CRPS, she’s not paralyzed. There are people everyday that are walking around us that suffer from chronic pain. My husband is one of them. He never complains because he gets rude comments like people spew on here that have no idea about it.
@@ryanblow5260 That was from a couple of years ago. Currently her lawyer is out in front of court talking about how sick she is, she is having relapses, cannot play the piano, cannot go to church, cannot play the piano. All this hardship right when this $250M law suit started up. Amazing!
Maya had a tantrum when Anderson forgot to ask her on the stand to explain her scantily clad pictures. The judge had to give in to her demands. Of course they have to, otherwise they will be the cause of her CRPS flare! LOL! This circus show by this crazy family is so entertaining! 🤣🤣🤣
She did. She didnt like being caught. I thought it was funny when she acted like a teenager and said the defense was searching through her pictures on social media. I bet she was surprised to know several people sent the pictures to the defense because they needed to know.
Bottom line. The child is walking and thriving following a treatment plan similar to the hospital. And NO KETAMINE. She did not die without it as Dr. Kilpatrick predicted to the mother. A Board-certified hospital and board-certified employees, licensed social workers and investigators with all their experience and knowledge with children identified the problem with this child's treatments, followed protocol and put this child on the road to recovery or at least improve her quality of life without dependency on large doses of k. It took time for these professionals to access. The mother was interfering with that process. Authorities did what they had to do and IF sedating (which means putting to sleep) the child with large doses of K was the proper treatment it would have continued. Their observation included 24-hour video surveillance in order to see if what was being observed by those taking care of Maya was true and pictures of the patient's body in order to record, compare and observe and yes protect their record. My question is why the patient fight hard to prevent the pictures if she were not self-mutilating. She was wearing equivalent to a sports bra and shorts. More coverage than many other pictures and videos taken by others. With pictures both the hospital and social services could then decide the truth. Remember the father was giving conflicting information whether it be at the time of his interview and including other times. Beata should have waited, cooperated and given social services the time they needed to investigate and find it was safe to return Maya to her care. Why did she resist all help provided to her especially Dr. Teppa's referral to a mental health specialist. That doctor would have been tantamount in her pleading to take back Maya's treatment. Beata was not a medical doctor nor a specialist in CRPS treatment. She was an IV nurse working at a drug store. The question was and has been by Andersen to those who specialize in pain management, are you specialized in CRPS? Although Beata thought she was, she was not. 40 doctors' guys. 3 hospitals. Countless observations and treatment plans. And she chose doctors who were not board certified, could not accept insurance and one who practiced in Mexico of all places. Does she have CRPS? Many who specialize in the treatment of CRPS say no. However, it is a syndrome and not a disease. Diseases are ruled out and we are left with symptoms which are referred to as a syndrome. There are many. The last text on her phone " Retaliation". What did that mean?
It's just more proof of the abysmal level of lawyering in this entire trial from both sides. To coach a witness to do that is so patently condescending to a jury. They see right through it and immediately start wondering why you're resorting to such thick-eared tactics instead of just relying on the testimony to stand for itself.
@laurieschmidt2672 From what I have seen Jack and Maya get the trophy for playing and smiling at the jury. Maya even pointed one of them out to her attorney today and they both had a good chuckle about whatever the juror was doing. I was really surprised that Maya did not even whip up one tear today. She thinks she has this in the bag.
I find that Kathy Bedi having disputes with fellow colleagues & being written up is what it is. Her employer verbally reprimanded her. I see nothing in there that says patient. So I take it at face value.
Something is NOT right with this family. They are looking for $$$$$. Maya says privacy so important for her but they are getting millions from Netflix documentary???? It was a bad idea to put her up on the stand again. This will cost them this trail.
If it comes to this point: The defence should be penalised for deliberately covering up the hospital's systemic failings and speculating that the plaintiffs would not have time to uncover them.
If it was for the money ? Then why did they not settle out of court with JHH when they offered to in the beginning of this situation ? Im not certain about a lot of things happening in this case only im 100 % positive it's definitely not about the money because Maya's already been paid several millions of $ by Cathy Beady along with others 😅
It's ALL about the money...they knew the Netflix doc was the path to a pay-out two or three orders of magnitude bigger than they were offered, it would guarantee they got a TV-loving jury who had decided for them before they even sat down (at least a couple of them).
It's an unmitigated sh*t-show from start to finish. It's hard to feel anything but disgust for the justice system and disdain for everyone involved in this charade.
Seems that pasting the 2019 Tampa news article about systemic problems at JHAC, goes against community guidelines ? This is the news headline from 2019 "New federal report details widespread problems at All Children’s" It's clearly reads the problem at this hospital is systemic based on the report
How long ago and were you there under a DCF court order? If not then you can't compare. A child under a shelter order is something staff are alerted to & instructed to ensure the child's well being while a patient is supported.
Well there it is proving how incredibly inconsistent she is. The hospital saved her. Had they not intervened she would be immobile in a hospital bed and DEFINITELY not at homecoming.
Lmao yeah that’s called CRPS, it’s not consistent. Thanks for proving to everyone just how ignorant you are. The hilarious part is that the defense keeps putting up witnesses like you and the jury is seeing right through it
It’s very sad Beata chose to end her life. It is never an answer to something that can’t be resolved. The hospital had no part in her decision. In fact the hospital save her daughters life. Beata didn’t have to die. She chose that because she was absolutely being found out. JHACH saved Mayas life, she should be grateful, rather than lying continuously and acting like her mother used to encourage. I suspect it is the dads doing now. He sees money signs and has no idea what happened. He was never involved in the health stuff and he just wants more money now. Very sad. Not just for Maya. Trying to live her life as a teenager but especially for Kyle, who has always been sidelined and left behind.
OMG, I just spit my , macaroni out , Maya said she is very modest. And then look at those pictures!! I have caught both sides in a lot of lies, I know she is a teenager too, but she is really playing the part, doesn't mean, its not true, but jurors don't like lies, both sides have been sneaky
10 yrs old and applying makeup daily and there would be no need for any training bra at 10 except she wants one to look older. She wouldn’t speak the truth -it’s too expensive. Wish they vould perform a pain “threshold” test on her. I think a hangnail would register a 10. This girl & Daddy have lost all credibility.
Maya stated the pic of her in the wheelchair was in the EVENING after court. However the picture shows sunlight coming in from the window. Busted…plus the jury had questions relating to that evidence asked her directly if the picture was after court. Maya said, yes, Boom
Not necessarily, courts close at 5pm the sun sets at 8pm in Florida in December, that’s a three hour window to return to the hospital, seems quite plausible to me
Maya agreed court lasted into the evening 6 or 7 pm. It’s not daylight at that time. There was a before court pics and after ones. Beady wasn’t even on duty.
The defence trying to use Jack and Maya's depos against them, as if "I'm doing better now" erases everything that happened in 2016 is a joke. Chronic pain flares and remits. her doing better in 2019 is completely irrelevant and doesn't prove she was "faking" it in 2015-16. JH just. doesn't. get it. Also the question of "are you taking ketamine now" are slimy. of course the answer will be no, there was a court order prohibiting it. Which their not allowed to explain. It's so gross how the defence continually twisted these points to fit their narrative.
Of course, but what have they shown regarding the treatment for her condition at the Hospital. Business about Video etc. means nothing. In Court you have to show harm and whether the Doctor's were not pursuing the Standard of Care. Plaintiff is pursuing trivial nonsense.
Just one more reason to not trust the Defence team to defend their position honestly and with integrity! And one more reason to be “Pro-Plaintiff”, which we have been from start to finish of this Trial.
Wow!

Awesome comment

She has the right to explain…it’s called rebuttal.

Nah, the defense was completely disgusting bringing those pictures in. It really showed how off their rocker they are. Trying to claim that a young girl must be lying because she went out once to try and live a normal life as a teenager is just plain gross.
So Maya was held captive in the dark hospital basement and was tortured daily. Her mother was killed while attempting a heroic rescue. Now Maya is paralyzed, comatose, and on life support because of the medical experiments the hospital performed on her. She deserves every cent of that $250,000,000 her father is asking for!...What? That’s not what happened???...Nevermind.
When is the trial supposed to be over? How much longer do they have?
Argh, I wrote a reply but now I’m thinking you may have been sarcastic. I have autism so it is hard for me to tell.
Yes, was trying to be sarcastic. I’m on the spectrum too!
Hi! Don’t know. Soon. Others in chat know. Ask them tomorrow and someone will tell you.
Very weird
At the end of the Netflix documentary there was a woman who had the same problem with Dr. Smith had. Why isn't she on the witness stand?
There were multiple people. I guess the judge didn't allow it.
I don't have Netflix 😢
The judge wouldn’t allow that to happen or other crps patients.
@@simonehawira3290 She is the one who they are getting the Ukranian translator for. The judge is allowing it. Haven't got to the end of the vid for today but she is scheduled. Someone from her FB group surely.
@@bobroberts8082 The woman from Ukraine is not the same as in the documentary. Besides, the woman from Ukraine didn't really say much.
@ 8:42 The judge says that there is no evidence of Negligence JHH getting away.
It's up to the jury not the judge...
@@Gabriel-hf1yyYou wanna bet?
Yeah. That’s what he says.., but the 2 pending issues will cause a lot of damage to this hospital. Let’s see what happens on Monday.
@ninamartinez5171 they're toast.
Lie after lie from JH
Just saying, my daughter whose mayas age at the time had cancer and JHACH was amazing! And she went through a lot of pain mentally and physically before she passed. It angers me that they have gotten such a bad wrap. Honestly i think the defense put on a good defense. Maya and her famoly are just looking for someone to blame
I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine the pain.
But Maya isn’t the only person who claims to have been harmed by Hopkins. There are dozens if not hundreds…
@@basicallyno1722 How many lawsuits?
@@LIGal398 thank you soo much.
Sorry for your loss, my daughter and wife are dead because of people like Maya.
How in the heck is this hospital still in business after the joint commission flagged them as in jeopardy.
“PROJECTILE FECES” ?!? You’ve got to be kidding me… this trials a joke… where’s the pics Jack since you document everything? Projectile feces by definition means poop would be splattered all over the room including floors, walls, ceiling, windows, bedding, stuffed animals, and oh of course Dr smith would of been covered head to toe in poop because she was standing right there
He is lying, doesn't make sense.

I seem to remember this minor detail was left out of his original testimony... 🤔

Amanda thinks this is an audition for SNL.
Dr Chopra said there are no remissions in CPRS. Yet Maya has been off meds, doing sports, high achieving from 2018 - 2020 (her admission). She definitely didn't and doesn't have CRPS
Thank you Dr. Faffrin
🤣
Just going by the evidence in the case which is what the jury will also have to do.
I'm not a doctor. But I am medically trained to post graduate level.
@@faffrin5216good point. Defences case all along together with Maya’s presence in court and all her happy snaps. You seriously have to be blind to believe she has crps but it’s the perfect condition to feign. What’s really sad is that Maya has pushed back the plight of the real crps suffers. I took a look at cprs lesions in genuine sufferers and they present as ulcerated sores. Mayas were definitely self inflicted.
@@faffrin5216.....and as we have seen in this trial, being medically trained means f*ck all!!!! Lol 🤷♀️

I don’t trust Maya’s memory over an adult’s. No way. Money grabbing father.
She doesn't have crps especially when you look at the video where she is chasing the dog on the floor and then karate kicking the pillow with her brother. My friend has crps and she has pain continuously. So I say she doesn't have crps and she and her father just wants money. And the scratch on her forehead is exactly a scratch. Has anyone noticed that during today's court she was smirking?

@@JoAnnToledo did you hear him when he was talking with the lady cop? He actually said that when maya was home and the mom was at work she never said she was in pain or anything until the mom got home from work then he said she was instantly in pain. I honestly hope that the jury picked up on that.
@@bevdowdy9483yet the dad is the one who took her to the hospital while mom was at work because she was in pain. Explain that.
“I don’t know the model, but I drive a Tesla” - Maya K, from earlier in the case
I find it hard to believe her boyfriend of one year, her dad, her brother, her friends, her owners manual did not tell her the model of her Tesla.
She lies, even when she doesn’t have to.
Not really. A lot of people don’t know or care what model a car is as long as it gets them where they need to go.
It's pathological, they lie by default even when there's no value to them in doing so.
She'd make a great politician.
Not for a luxury brand like Tesla. It’s not an entry level used Ford no one cares about.

The nurse amanda Flores is scary. She smiles at the most inappropriate times at the jury. She comes off as very fake and it’s funny to see how irritated she gets with Maya’s lawyer lol she can’t even pretend to hold it back. She’s so easily triggered. Ican remember back in the day when doctors (people) didn't believe in PMS , horrible cramps, menopause symptoms, debilitating migranes, "yuppy diseas.....but big pharma gets people addicted to meds everyday
The judge has zero patience for Anderson but he's cool as a cucumber with a defense objecting every 10 seconds.

OMG!, Is that 2nd nurse one of Charlie Mansons offspring?! What a complete space cadet. So unaware of just how inappropriate and creepy her smiling is. Would NOT want that around my child either. The staff at JHACH is soooo sketchy.. Yikes!
Because you don't like how she smiles? jfc, my condolences to your child; having such a hyper-critical parent must be exhausting.
Agreed, she looks almost psychotic
I bat for JHACH but you are right, nurse 🤓 did have that Charlie Manson vibe. I loved her though, she’s the most memorable witness for me ⭐️. I think she confused Anderson, neither of them really looked at each the whole time 😂

The rosary wrapped around her fingers today took the cake for me. She showed her true colors today, and it wasn't because she was in pain. This family needs psychiatric help.
It's disgusting. She is a deeply disturbed girl.
It’s a comfort to hold rosary while JHACH attempts to further rip up her integrity & dignity.
