I've heard that egypt is mostly a cash economy. However at these western style places, do they accept credit cards? Assuming that the card is unlocked for use in egypt, is it common for credit card transactions to be rejected? When I was in turkey for example, maybe 30% of the time my cards wouldn't go through. Do they charge a fee for using credit cards? Thanks

In big cities you re not gonna have problems with credit card, countryside go cash
