So 2 things: Warp is likely going to be an issue. You don't want Withers spawning in your base constantly, do you? To avoid warp early in the game, just never have an uncharged profane wand in your inventory. The way this works is that you have a "contract" that refills the vis in the wand whenever it's in your inventory up until it runs out of juice. If you never take the wand out of the arcane crafting station, this event never triggers. Instead, you can throw it out, burn it, and purchase another wand from a villager for easy renewable vis. Also when doing TC research, you want to avoid using complicated aspects like fames or whatever. So for instance, when you want to combine 2 vacuos, use aer instead of fames because it's orders of magnitude cheaper. (And yes, it's fames with an S, not fame)
you can still pump out water from a thirsty tank in steam age via the tinker's seared faucet and any form of redstone clock (vanilla, the redpower one, etc.)
Really happy to see the amount of progress thus far. It’s clear you really learned a lot with your last run. I’m really eager to see you take this run deeper into the pack.
The pechs despawn only if their inventory contains less than five items. So to keep them around, just toss a bunch of random items at them when you've finished trading.
@@gardenofgrind This will also mean that next time you trade with them, they will sometimes give you the items you threw at them back, which can be quite annoying, but don't try to cut it close with the number of items in their inventory. I always throw more than 5 kinds of items, just because I've had them disappear on me too many times.
it is quite cheesy but I think you can put micro block on cauldron in a way that it blocks all places where flux can generate but you can still can trow items into it
you can make it impossible to get flux out of the crucible, if you build a 3x3x3 of blocks (any, even microblock nooks suffice) and put the crucible in the center, you wont generate flux (you can theoretically majorly overfill the crucible like that, it jut looses some aspects ones in a while, great for huge batch crucible crafting)
You should raise the death limit once you reach certain progression points like if you raise it by like 10 or 20, that way you can still play kinda risky without the aww I just made it here I can't believe I can't play _____
You should do the Research Expertise and Research Mastery researches on the first page of the thauminomicon to be more efficient with your knowledge points.
I was mainly just rushing the thirsty tank for now, but I do need to also do further research for getting lapis seeds eventually so I’ll also remember this comment. Thanks! :)
So, fun fact about the cauldron... ot spawns flux on itself and spreads from there. So if you just,,, surround the cauldron with blocks,, it never leaks flux. Ever. Use a trapdoor to cap off the top and you can even still throw items in it and get the items back out. Just _never_ break the blocks. Ever. Just dont do it.
Stencil, pattern chest, part builder, tool station, then crafting table. Allows you to switch in between them by clicking their emblems at the top of the screen when in one of the tables. (Might not be in this version)
Not sure if that will be viable at some point, cuz the water Tank is also a easy source of much water once you can get enough iron by exp buckets or armor maceration. The sticky resign is also no problem using the coins section that trade gets unlocked pretty early on
17:33 I might remember wrong, but I think you got the shutter system in the pipes a bit mixed up. The arrow does not mean all steam is forced downwards, just that the place of the arrow is a one-way. As in, the Forge Hammer can only receive steam into it but not spit it back out. Having no arrow pointing to the right or downwards to the other machines will therefore NOT prevent steam from going in/out of those blocks. The main purpose of the system is to reduce lag/increase efficiency and throughput by eliminating "sloshing" of fluids or gasses going back and forth, and instead only allowing them to flow in one single way from the producer block out to the consumer blocks. That is also the reason for why you want to shutter all of the individual pipes even in longer lines between blocks, and not just where the line starts/ends/splits. I hope this is right, but if it isn't I assume I will be corrected down below :)
Rather than doing a slime farm, it's also possible to get tons of slime via slime saplings. Those are available either from lootbags (probably your best bet) or from the bouncepad quest.
If you replace the villager cell dividing walls with glass, that should prevent block suffocating damage on the villagers should be able to store even more villagers per cell :)
Santising soap is useful for getting your SANITY back.... if you've done a bit too much thaumcraft, but you'll learn to make it eventually, so it aint a rush.
33:28 did you consider using a Tcon faucet? It can automatically (might require a redstone clock) pull liquids from blocks. If you put a GT fluid pipe below it, the faucet will pour into the pipe
The railcraft water multiblock auto outputs, so no pump needed. I think you can make them with slime… I know you said you wanted to try something else, but being blocked n lava might change your mind….
Hey! This is probably a stupid question but I've seen it a couple of times in your videos: e.g. on 8:09, your bookmarks are clearly split into lines - how do you do that? I've only found out how to move entries around, line-splitting would really help me organize things..
Hey! Yeah this is SO HANDY, I’ll be lost without it haha. Hover over an item in nei and press “ctrl+shift+a” on it to save the recipe in this way. If you scroll your mouse wheel over the bookmarked recipe it’ll add and deduct amounts whilst also holding “shift”. Hope that helps
@@gardenofgrind Oh, thanks! Finally figured out how it works with that - I needed to click on the very top bar of the Bookmarks to have them automatically split into lines. Looking forward to more episodes, I'm still in Steam Age myself (need to work on getting Wrought Iron next).
Nooo, I was so excited to finally have a GoG video I can like and then 38 minutes in, I was completely and utterly betrayed with an upside down crafting table 😭😭😭😭😭 What a shame, another dislike it is
You can build cauldron ma dude?! The wooden ones too?! If yes then are you sleeping while playing or why aren't you still collecting rain water yet? 😂🤣 Mann you could make your live much easier if that would be working.

1:42 not sure if its intentional, but its funny that the lust shard is censored
I think it’s intentional lol
That’s why the texture is “odd” I presume
It is very much intentional.
Its not just intentional, but it has been that way for about a decade. The sin shards are all styled to match their sins.

Most recent set vastly increases the waste rate
Give your Peck 8 random trash items after each trading session and he can't despawn. Just always remember to have trash items under their feet.
LV-HV-MV lol
true true
Shhh!
Low - high - medium(make sense lol)
I messed up ok haha
This is what Gregtech does to a person
you are the best!!! love everything you do... keep going!!! you are doing brilliantly!!!
that goblin just casually murders the sheep when he makes the scribing table lol
You could technically use a tinkers faucet to use on the thirsty tank to drain the water out of it!
Nice thinking!

Yay, 10k subs!
Flint and steel is a chance to make a fire. Not always guaranteed this is gregtech remember ;)
if you can find a biome where dire wolves spawn you can loot them for name tags to keep pechs from despawning
I’ve seen that drop in nei, but I would prefer to have a natures compass before I go biome hunting lol
29:07 flint and steel is chance based in the mod pack so you just got unlucky
Ohh, wow! That’s just cruel.
Thanks for mentioning that lol
You can prevent crucible issues by putting a small thing on top, you’ll make a flux bomb but it won’t actually do anything, I think.

nice, new upload :)
Its too late to matter now but you can make water using cactus -> cactus juice + bucket -> bucket of water. If that ever matters in the future.
Yea I’m aware of that one.
That’s the ultimate backup if I run out somehow lol

33:01 isnt MV comes right after LV? iirc its LV,MV,HV which is low medium and high voltages respectively. Still far away into progression though.

I’m not 100% blocked by lava…
I’m just prioritizing other things first, apparently I can use the tinkers faucet so I’m gonna do some testing heheh
@@gardenofgrind Oh yeah. Tinkers faucet and then a redstone clock to make it pulse. Good idea whoever thought of that!

5:55 switching blocks to fit a theme seems incredibly dangerous, just build a head over it
