Great coverage! I believe this report is pretty natural and realistic. But no subtitle for local language. I m China and Good to see my countrymen did something great for Kenya ppl!
12:30. For many working in and around the Mombasa's Central Business District having the SGR express passenger train service continue into the historic original British build meter-gauge railroad's passenger station would be a great connivance. The SGR Mombasa passenger terminal and next to it the International Airport are about 15 km from the Mombasa Central Business District. This is a suburban passenger train station and is likely much easier to get to by car and bus than the original British built meter-gauge railroad's Mombasa passenger train station. It has its own conveniences that are different from a passenger station located in the middle of a city, safe multi day long term car parking hopefully being one of them. Retrofitting dual gauge meter-gauge standard gauge trackage, a common practice, into the original British passenger station would allow the meter-gauge railroad's services to remain while allowing SGR express passenger trains to access the station. As soon as the SGR trains are outside of the station platforms they can take their own rail bed. Some railway corridor would have to be acquired and built. The majority of the route could make use of existing railroad corridors. The rail route would likely be a little over 20 km and likely could be traveled at 80 kph with the part on dual gauge at 50 kph. Maybe it could be done in 15 minutes with some streamlining. The official express passenger train service might end and start officially from the suburban station while the actual train would continue to and from the historic British meter-gauge passenger train station in the CBD to keep from having an extra stop and the slower speed of the link from detracting from the express train's average travel time. There may be spare platforms in the original station meter-gauge tracks don't need to service anymore, in which case SGR tracks could likely be fitted and no dual gauge trackage would be used. Hopefully the meter gauge railroad can somehow be made to find a profitable place along with the SGR. In such situation dual gauge trackage for interchanging loads with the same locomotives and crews can simplify the complexities a great deal. The cost is hard to justify because there it is not likely freight traffic to pay for the extension. Typically passenger train tickets at best only pay for the passenger train sets, their maintenance, and crews. Track use is paid for by railroad freight profits and passenger train service can be viewed as providing advertising for the railroad's freight service. High quality passenger service gives a freight railroad a lot of advertising! Without the high quality experience of passenger trains freight railroads would have a much harder job making themselves known to people. After riding first class on the Madaraka express passenger train a business man that had always shipped containers by truck might think he should give the railroad a try. Maybe he only ships 20 containers a year, but if he has a good experience shipping via the railroad he will tell other people about it and he'd never have been likely motivated to make the effort to make the switch unless he'd found riding that freight railroad's passenger service a real good experience.
Very awesome feature. Now, ummhh...someone enlighten me, aside from the 4 hrs spent on the rail or rather train, given that it's kind of a hustle getting to and fro either terminus, on average, how much time can we say one would have totaled as opposed to using the bus? Im asking so, coz i watched the feature reporter saying guys took about an hr, just clearing from the terminus and then there is the unfinished road (not forgetting that guys have to do an alternative form of transport to Msa twn or Nbi's CBD). could it be that on average guys might still have spent about 8hrs or so? Still though, it beats using the bus.
Train is a lot more comfortable with better time management. You can predict when you would get home with a train but you cannot with a bus because of traffic and road conditions.
Emms Ethan 😂😂 ata ICE za Swiss hawana play room. .mara wanataka chai na mandazi 😂😂wakenya wetu lazma walearn kukeep time 🙈 Muhimu ni trains ziwe always clean. ..i think ni Muhimu. .Hatutaki watu waharishe 😋
Penzi Hatare hawana shukrani kabisa!! Can u imagine ingekua ni ICE hiyo SGR Ita chapa mimi ata sijaona ICE na playroom huku Deutschland wacha nxt yr ifike hizo trains zitakuwa zina safirisha farmers Na bidhaa zao thy wil return to Coast bus
Penzi Hatare luo watakuja kunimaliza na sarakasi ..did u heard mama oranges akisema rao akishinda ataishi state house pia ??na akikatwa hatoki damu instead n juice na pivha ya rao hahahaha
Looks nice overal but Disturbed by Chinese writing Chinese sculpture. Do we not have enough Kenyan heroes? Are we in China? 200 Chinese employees? Tickets without names in this day and age? Isn't that basic? Starting to wonder about management
populist. The sculpture is a Chinese sail leader who led the Chinese ships visited Kenya about 500 years ago, Which is a sign of friendship between two countries.
Great work Daniel. This the best Madaraka express coverage I've seen so far. Good work NTV
Nicely done feature Dan Mwangi. Objective, hopeful and asking direct questions. Well done brother.
How joyful the riders are! I share your happiness, my African friends.

那么大的火车站大厅如果你想放可以放很多雕塑进去,路过旅行的路人会学到很多。郑成功只是其中的一个。
