I never got the Loma hate from some boxing "fans" and pundits. Dude comes across as humble and has accomplished so much in a short time. Albeit he's at the end of his career the pure talent of this current gen at 135 still want a "Loma win" respek

Never heard Loma bad mouth opponents behind their backs, I respect him for that.
The lightweight and super lightweight are incredible right now. They are full of beasts. There are only a handful of great lightweights however, who can make the jump up in weight. Shakur being so naturally big is one of them.
I think in the next 18 months Super Lightweight will undeniably be the best division in the sport with all the elite 135 pounders moving up also

Wow, that is so cool. Two of the most talented fighters I have seen in the last 10 years, and for Loma, given his track record, longer. Shakur should join him there soon. I hope they fight, and may the best man win. That is a CHESS MATCH. The IQ would be insane. The one issue I see for Stevenson is the potential inability to prevent Lomachenko from getting inside and unleashing his trademark combinations. Nobody has done so yet, spare the first 7 rounds or 8 rds of the Lopez loss, and even then, he was easily getting in range to unload on Teo. If Shakur cannot keep him outside, he may struggle because Lomachenko is not just a boxer, but a real athlete in the sense of you can't go in and just wrestle him down, he is strong as bull lol. For Lomachenko, the issue is his durability and the miles he has on him more than anything else. He has not been the same since beating Linares. He injured his shoulder in that fight and his subsequent performances against Pedraza and Campbell, not to mention his loss to Lopez, were not close to the fighter we saw before, or the fighter we saw in his two fights following the defeat. If he can't catch Shakur, and I cannot believe I am saying this about Loma, but he might not be able to. Stevenson is like a cat, as is Loma, but Shakur is YOUNG...'
Good assessment. i`d agree with most of it, but think Loma is still the best around. On his day he was the best I`ve ever seen, regardless of weight or boxing "age" in the past fifty years.

I like Loma but the guy is old now, Devin is younger, bigger, and very skilled (This ain’t gonna be like Floyd vs Canelo, Devin is way more skilled than Canelo, and Loma isn’t as good as Floyd). If Loma was still 30, Id take him to win, but Devin‘s jab and technical skills will beat the smaller, slower, and older man. I’m gonna say Devin wins 9-3 rounds against Loma.
