"It's our responsibility to make sure our kids know about Queen." Something tells me these kids are going to turn out just fine with parents like these... 😎
Somebody to love live in Montreal is a great way to start listening to Queen, Freddie brought all his skills to that performance and it's impossible to miss the talent that drummer/vocalist Roger Taylor has 👑
This song was written for the Movie "Highlander". About a guy who finds out that he would "live forever" and the emotional question mark was when he got married, but didn't age. His beautiful wife just got older... and older, until eventually dying of old age. But he hadn't aged, thus the question "Who wants to live forever?"
The Context of the song is. who wants to live forever, when love must die. meaning the life aint worth to be forever when the love of u life cant follow u.
As mentioned this was from the Highlander movie. Highlander was about an immortal. The love of his life ages and dies. He doesn’t. So the question in that context - who wants to live forever? Also from that movie - Princes of the Universe. The video includes scenes from the movie.
I was attracted to your channel because you reacted to Queen, many on here will be here because of Queen. It will be the best rabbit hole you go down and will gain you many subscribers. Queen have arguably the most amazing catalogue of any band or artist. FWIW "Who Wants to Live Forever" often makes me cry, as do many of their songs.
A band of four great musicians led by Freddie Mercury, the GOAT, the best frontman of any band, ever. They don't make music like this these days because all this happened back when you needed TALENT to succeed.
This song LIVE in Budapest takes the performance to another level. Yes, the live "gems" might just blow your mind: Early days, LIAR and STONE COLD CRAZY live @ The Rainbow 1974. From there to SOMEBODY TO LOVE live in Montreal - what a journey.
This particular video was made as a tribute to Freddie many years after he passed away. Freddie was the greatest male singer of all times. The parts with him were taken from him in Barcelona.
Thanks, guys! this song was one of several that they did for the soundtrack of the movie "Highlander" - (not a great movie, but kind of fun)... appreciate your reactions and look forward to more...
Best thing about the movie Highlander was the sound track by Queen. Love it, and this is one of them. A Kind of Magic, Hammer to Fall, Princes of the Universe. The song was not actually about Freddie, although most people make it a connection. RIP Freddie.
GUYS… It made my day to see this reaction, THANK YOUUU!!! It would be so absolutely marvelous if you would react to some more Queen/Freddie Mercury, preferably LIVE performances when they’re available. SUGGESTIONS: “Somebody To Love” ANY live version “Under Pressure” Live at Wembley Stadium, 1986 (The video that’s OVER 5 minutes, to include Freddie’s most famous “crowd control” improv) “Fat Bottomed Girls” Live at Milton Keynes Bowl, 1982
Do you know what it's like to have a friend for 900 years McCleod? I've known him longer than you've been alive, and now he is gone. Highlander TV series
I prefer the liveversions - they are so different and showcases their abilities as musicians - - the studioversions show their perfectionism and their humor and their incredible skills and ability work together. "One Vision" is a good example - - and they have several versions of the video which is hilarious - it is a must see - . You have a new subscriber 🤩
There are so MANY great Queen songs... but also from Highlander check out Princes of the Universe! Also another completely under rated song is Keep Passing the Open Windows"... and for early Queen, try White Queen 1975 Hammersmith Odeon.
Great reaction guys. What you need to do is watch the video with clips from the film HIGHLANDER cut into the video. You don't need to do a reaction but you will understand why he's asking the question "Who wants to live forever?" Queen Somebody to Love live at Milton Keynes 1982.
I cannot understand why Queen' s official channel have cut the last few minutes of this track. Beautiful ending and missing probably the most important line of the song "who waits forever anyway?'
Since you’re going down the Queen rabbit hole, I suggest going down the Marc Martel rabbit hole who is not an impersonator, but Freddy’s voice born again. They said there would never be a voice like his again and luckily we were blessed with Marc.
Great reaction, but to give a little advice on behalf of all the hundreds of thousands of Queenie's out there (which will massively enhance your platform) you must always do the LIVE performances of Queen as they're just about the only band that sounds more phenomenal than the studio versions, there are two LIVE version to chose from, either from Wembley in 1986 or from Budapest in 1986 please do. RIP my hero Freddie Mercury ............ btw Freddie passed away (from what you say)the year you were born in 1991 so sad :(
Queen are by far the greatest band ever but if you are looking to do another Freddie Mercury track then please do( Barcelona Freddie Murcury and Montserrat Caballé)
Jeeeez.... Saw the pop up and had to watch. Highlander is one hell of a film. A whole dayum soundtrack from royalty, and aptly named thereafter ❤ I would 100% watch a movie reaction to this from you guys. Henry Cavill is about to be in a new version. But the original is epic
Random as hell song to react to but it’s a decent track. Live aid or greenday crowd at Hyde park singing bohemian rhapsody is the ones everyone reacts to. If you want something else random as hell try Top Secret Drum Corps at Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2022 I think. Even if you don’t react to it it’s pretty impressive
@@DoubleTakeJC I’ve been watching some random reactions this week especially to the military tattoo with the bagpipes and drummers. I kinda like the sound of bagpipes but know a lot hate it that’s why I singled out top secret but them dudes are talented

Queen left their imprint on the world and will continue to do so for generations to come
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
“They don’t make music like this these days.”
They didn’t make music like this in their day either. Queen is their own genre.
you'll never go wrong with music from QUEEN,
yesterday, tody, tomorrow

He has a great voice, no no no, he has THE GREATEST.

Btw you guys could react to the live performances as well 😊

QUEEN "RADIO GAGA" Live at Band Aid! Will blow your mind!
'One year of love' from the same film... Highlander. There is just a lyrics video I think but its a hidden gem
Best rabbit hole you'll ever go down, their live stuff is unbelievable from live aid to Montreal.. Amazing as is anything from Wembley. ❤❤❤❤
Oh Freddie ! You were and still are "one of a kind " :)

This is from the Highlander film soundtrack. Some great songs in that movie
fun fact: I was named after someone in Highlander, guessing he's names Connor 😂
@@DoubleTakeJC NIce! 😄 Check it out, they are all queen songs in that movie
You should react to the live version of Who Wants To Live Forever been live at Wembley Stadium 1086
The orchestra adds an extra dimension to the epicness
The members of Queen are all highly talented and have all written number 1 songs. They also all have University Degrees and not in music.
Please watch this Live at Wembley concert...goosebumps everywhere.
Queen - Under Pressure (Live at Wembley)
Sir Brian May has always had that lovely long curly hair - and still does, even though it's white now!
To borrow a quote from Star Trek, "He's really not dead, as long as we remember him."

The live version of this song at Budapest 1986 is a must. Nice reaction!
They done all the music for Highlander film. This song was part of that. "gimme the prize" was another one.

This video version cuts off about a little over a minute of beautiful outro instrumental off the album version.

I don’t understand?
@@DoubleTakeJC Highlander / Braveheart referance
Good old highlander album gotta
From the original highlander film, which is getting a remake with Henry caville.
Ideal for Halloween, you should do a reaction to “Stay” by Shakespears Sister, a ballad from the 90s with a twist, you won’t regret it.

Jesus Christ Im that old, the young Brits dont know Queen..?

React Is there someone else by weeknd ❤❤

At that time I thought that Freddie Mercury had a premonition of his death and that he knew that he had AIDS.
