This has always been a dream synth for me. I was in early high school when it came out. I remember just drooling over the design and aesthetic of it- the “star map clusters” of knobs look like the control panel on an alien spacecraft. And the sounds! Gorgeous and spacious pads are my kryptonite, and this machine is a 16 note pad maker! Always wanted one, even to this day, but have always been nervous of the reported maintenance issues on these.

also the on board real time effects(which you would think would be top notch given alesis heritage) didn't sound good at all and were very noisy. the synth itself sounds amazing

I have mine in my storage collecting dust. Since last year i decided to buy the synths I always wanted, it took me basically two years, I had some but I am done I think, all of them from the 90s mostly. I have the Andromeda (the only Alesis), Rolands i have D 50, D70, JP8080 (2), JD 800, MC 505 (meh), Waldorf Pulse, XT and Q, Korg Radias, Emax II, Ensoniq ASR-10, Yamaha An1x, Quasimidi Polymorph and Raven., Peavey DPM 3 (go figure). And I know I have more, they are in the storage. Oh.... Virus Ti2 whiteout.
