That terrible Slap is getting kinda annoying, and stupid now lol. I remember seeing vids of it trending on my RUclips recommendation feed, and Instagram but those memes are very witty, and hella interesting.
LOL. Such small things to make a big deal about. Pretty much "oh damn" moments then you laugh about it and move on. @@trendyinsight9080 I commend Chris Rock for handling the slap professionally and rightfully ranting about it in Selective Outrage. Chris has always been one of my favorite comedians and I couldn’t bear to see him get smacked by Will onstage in front of a crowd anticipating their Oscars.

Fun Fact: Jim Carrey said that had he been in Chris Rock's place he would have sued Will Smith for 200 millions.
He would have never been in Rock's place though as Jim Carey doesn't base his whole comedy routine around belittling people.

I know legally it's assault, but it's not really assault in that it didn't really hurt Chris Rock. If Will Smith really wanted to hurt him he would've. The slap was just an awkward moment that only hurt him and his reputation, not anyone else.

Isn't that the whole point of a public forum: for people to make comments on these things? Chris Rock is the real champ here. Did he not only take the hit, he maintained his composure and was very professional. Will Smith may have portrayed Ali, but came out the loser. I always looked up to Will Smith until this point. I hope Will Smith will seek out help and apologize to Chris Rock and acknowledge what he had done was wrong. I hope Will can rebuild his legacy back to once it was.

I actually found Joe and Katys endearing... they walked (or crawled) things off and laughed it off later. I was at the 2009 VMAs in NYC and it was insane.
I think the most awkward and unnecessary was Will, there was zero reason for what he did and while I blame him I also think Jada has him under her finger and thats why he did it. I just feel bad for Chris Rock since he had no idea and even if he did he was making a lighthearted comment, not an insult and I also feel for QuestLove because his win was so overshadowed.

How did a banal joke about the tourist that didn't even offend it's star somehow beat out James Franco and Anne Hathaway's utterly disastrous Oscars hosting gig? The part where Franco came out in drag easily could have made the cut.
