how about image URL links? I do some outdated images that I which to delete. However, when I deleted, the image URL link will mention 404 error. Is there any solutions for that?
I have a pdf which has already been removed from my website but still show up on a google search result. The url removal tool wont work as it can't find what's not there. Any ideas?
If the PDF was removed/deleted then I’m guessing the URL won’t be active anymore? So then it should lead to a 404 error page when that URL is visited. If the content is still showing up when the URL is visited then it’s still being hosted somewhere. I’d have to dive into it to explore it though. I’m not sure. Sorry I can’t be of more help!
what to do if i deleted the blog from wordpress and i dont want the google to scroll that page?
The page will still prob show up in GSC for a while. Google never forgets lol
Question: I have about 30 URL pages of events that passed. But the Console is showing 30 "Not Found (404)" Source: Website, Validation: Failed.

I came to this video to be able to delete my entire website from indexing, and re-submitting it.
I think an old permalink structure is indexed and inactive/active, and the new permalink structure is active. Says 50 no indexed pages and 50 indexed pages. Doesn’t look right and would like to start over (without 301 re-directs) Re-directs doesn’t sound like a solution but compensation.
I changed permalinks from ‘date’ to ‘post’ in worpress. Without doing anything else. Amateur move for sure. Webpage is pretty new and not been indexed for more than 3 months. So I thought I’d use the opportunity now to change permalink structure instead of later.
I want to start afresh all over. Any ideas?
Google never forgets lolol it’s almost impossible to “start over” - 301 redirects is usually the proper move when URLs change. The errors & indexed pages in GSC, whether they’re good or bad, or whether you can ignore them or not alllll depends on context. I’d have to do consulting in order to give specific feedback but hopefully that helps.
hi what about the Chrome on my phone and not on a computer ? i am tired of a web page which keeps showing on my phone.
You’d use the same tool to remove mobile/desktop. I don’t think there’s a different option for different devices.

if a page crawling is disabled in wordpress, does this also disable semrush crawling?
TBH I’m not sure. That’s a good question.
It says "url not in property" . Url in the currently selected property or switch properties. I dont understand, so that means my website can't be deleted on Google

I just changed my site's adress from domain A to domain B. Can I just remove the old urls and reindex the new domain? My new domain now is crawled but not indexed, i suppose because it has exactely the same content as the old domain. Thank you in advance for your reply :)
If it’s a brand new domain name, create a new GSC property for it and then use the Domain changed option in settings of the old one to let Google know that your domain has changed. Then resubmit your new sitemap to that new property. Hopefully that helps!

What about the situation there is several "page.layer-templates", "redirect" or "noindex" tag and GSC regulary brign them back after six months. Is there any way remove them permanently? ._.
Unfortunately, not that I know of lol kind of odd, I know, but that’s why when you’re looking at your GSC stuff, it needs context to determine if there’s actually anything you have to do about the warnings or not
ItsIt's just embarrassing if my client has access to GSC as an owner and gets the feeling that something is wrong with the site when she gets the same notifications as me as the site administrator.@@MariahMagazine

The status shows removal expired after a week in search console. I blocked the page by robots.txt by disallo. Is this still removed?
You can always check Google by going there and typing in url: and then pasting the url without a space after it! Sometimes it take a a bit for the changes to take place tho.

Hello, brace yourself: Dumb question...
I have site on Search Console, but I have recently updated it (the new url has more sub folders).
If I remove the old site (from Console) then add the new url (as new property), would google see the new updated site as the "original" or as a duplicate (since some of the content is similar to the old site)? Thanks
Not a dumb question! This shit can be confusing lol. If it’s the same domain name, just a new updated site design & pages, you can just replace the sitemap usually. If it’s a new domain name, you can create a new property and tell Google about the site name (domain name) change. Those directions are outlined here: support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9370220?hl=en#:~:text=Use%20the%20Change%20of%20Address,site%20to%20your%20new%20site.

This didn't work. My subdomain is deleted, but when I do a Google search my deleted subdomain still showes up. I ask for removals but it doesn't work.

Totally depends on the context of what’s happening! So it’s hard to say exactly

So helpful tutorial, but Is there a way to permanently remove the URL from the Google search console after deleting the page from WordPress itself, so I can't mark it as no-index?
From my experience, there’s no way to “remove a page” completely from Google search console. Google typically recrawls a website and the pages in GSC should update accordingly after time. Might take a while though!

Hi MaM, are these deletions just for your search results or do they delete them universally? For everyone? I have a site that’s in breach of my rights and they put a defamatory statement about me on the heading (out of spite) that I want removed from my name in search results. Hope you can help. 😊🇬🇧
Hi! This allows you to request a removal to Google in regards to pages on your own site, in relation to your domain name. It’s not to request search results or Google removal of pages on someone else’s site. I think there is a way to submit someone else’s page to Google for removal, but idk if it works or what the process looks like. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help, good luck!

I have deleted content in the past, yet i still have pages from 2017 giving 404 errors. I can't delete the information now because i completely rebuilt my website with out using that content. I NEED to delete this information permanently to improve my website performance.

This is to delete a result from your website. I’m not sure if there is a way to delete something posted by someone else bc you won’t have ownership or access to it. You might be able to “report” something but I’m not sure how that process goes.

How to remove the website completely? Or to remove its homepage?
Removing a whole website from search results is a little more difficult without deleting the website or putting the whole thing into a development mode lol usually my clients have the opposite problem. You can try to see if your website hosting platform has a setting to “discourage search engines from indexing it” - I know Yoast with WordPress has it. Or you can put up a password protected page or a maintenance or coming soon page as your homepage. Those are the only ways I can think of.

Depends on the platform that you’re using, some require code to remove it. You can also delete the page from your site. Or at least mark it no-index.

I’d double check the property that you’re logged into and then make sure it’s the one connected to your primary domain name ( vs. www vs. vs. www)

TBH I’m not sure lol Google has the biggest market share with search, with bing behind as number two. So I haven’t really explored Yahoo search

You can either Google “Google search console” and it should be one of the first options that show up or you can click the video linked in the description & it walks you through setting it up! Hopefully that helps ✨
@@MariahMagazine I meant to get back to you. It was rather simple, though most how-to videos were just saying to open it. I can't open it if I don't know where it is. Turns out it was not to difficult to find, if I know what I'm doing. Plus, that means I haven't looked at my settings in quite some while.

Thanks for your video! May I ask (I am not a native english speaker) if you can explain again the difference between the GSC "Temporarily Remove URL" and the "Clear Cached URL"? thanks! GSE is still showing results in other languages on my website who arent existing there anymore (I have a fresh install).
Temporarily remove URL is if you want Google to remove the URL from showing up in search results, IF it's still showing in search results. Clear cached URL is if the metadata showing up in search is outdated and you want Google to recrawl the URL so that info can be updated. GSC sometimes does still show previous URLs from old versions of a website (including old pages)and will remove them slowly over time the more Google understands your website. This can take time. There's typically nothing you can do to force a URL out of GSC (that I know of).
I really appreciate your quick reply. May I ask whats then the difference between "Clear Cached URL" and "Outdated Content"? Do I use Outdated Content when the title and metadescription is ok, but the content changed (for example the Questions and Answers in a FAQ) and I want to update the SERPs?@@MariahMagazine
