- Sliding Door (Hidden Track Hardware) Love sliding doors, but hate the look of the track? Tired of the barn door look, and don’t want to use a valance? Want more door options? We get it, we’ve been there too. Lucky for you guys, we’ve got a solution!
...
Most of the time when we say, ‘it’s like magic,’ we’re just being nice. This time though, it’s actually true. Watch as we install this Magic 2 Legno wall mounted sliding door system, that completely conceals the track to create the illusion of a floating door!
Great job, @RefreshHomeImprovements
! Thank you for showing off our Magic 2 system in action. Your interior Door looks fantastic! 🌟 #milcasaStore
I love this & seems to be the perfect solution for my master bathroom. Purchased home in adult community & strangely former owner removed the bathroom door. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
Awesome. Wish it showed how the first part is installed. Is the stationary part of the door screwed into the floor and ceiling...???
Thanks! We actually have a more detailed version of this video in the works (so stay tuned). There isn’t technically a stationary part of the door with this hardware- think of it as a track door, but reversed. The track itself is on the door (instead of the wall) and the wheels get mounted to the wall. The door has wheels routed into the bottom (as well as a guide rail). There is a pin screwed to the floor directly below where the wheel hardware is mounted to the wall. The door/track slides back and forth but the wheel remains stationary. The pin sits in the guide rail, keeping the door from veering off course 🤯
looks nice on the one side, but wont you see the bar slide on other side as you come up the stairs. Would be nice to show that side of the door 😊
Great point. Yes, you do see the bar on the back side when the door is in the closed position. Because it’s recessed into the door, it’s not much of an eye sore- but you’re right we could have shown that angle too so people can judge for themselves 👍
was wondering that too, and also that there must be a large gap between the 2 panels due to the rollers being attached on the side
Curios, Can this be used without installing the bottom track inside of the door? We want the sliding door affect, but to cover a window area - there is no bottom to put the small track "adjuster/holder". Thank you.
This looks so good!
Have you ever installed this on a 3 door system instead of 2? If not, do you think it could work/hold?
We have only installed it in single door applications, so Unfortunately we can’t say definitively. We imagine you could quite easily use this hardware in a double door configuration, but beyond that it would certainly become complicated (to say the least 😎) 👍
What you’re seeing in this video is actually a single door mounted on a stationary wall designed to mimic the look of the door 👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovements would it be possible to install another moving door on the current moving door? And both doors to move back on top of the stationary door?
@@freakka in theory it should, but again, we have no idea how well it will work. It could be amazing, or it could be an expensive lesson in futility. If you’re willing to give it a shot, we’d love to know how it goes 👍
What are those mechanism pls reply with each item's name pls?
Can you please tell me the stuff you used, and if you kindly give the complete instruction how to install aswell.
Thanks
How sound tight are they? I have existing pocket doors in my house and am super disappointed with how much sound escapes around the door
Can a lock be added to the door? And what is the gap between the door and the wall? Buying a small condo and the powder room door opens to the walking area. Would love to add something like this.
Great questions! Yes, any locking sliding/pocket door hardware could theoretically be added to this set up. The minimum clearance between the door and the wall (with the hardware routed into the door) is 12mm (just under 1/2”), and the max (hardware mounted on the face of the door) is 32mm (roughly 1,1/4”) 👍
Is this is your video or Milcasa???? You both have the same videos.
They are definitely ours. Thanks for pointing this out, we’re looking into it 👍
Where can I buy a 36" by 84" clear glass ghost door?
you should add the words "Magic door hardware" somewhere on your caption so that this video shows up. Would have loved to seen this a month or so ago when I was looking for videos.
My question is this, how far away from the wall did you mount the metal guide?
Good idea 👍 We would have liked that too (we assure you it’s in the description and tags). If you’re referring to the wall mounted wheel mechanism, it totally depends on the situation- but there are minimum and maximum allowances listed in the instructions here: www.richelieu.com/documents/docsGr/119/854/3/1198543/1405176.pdf
@@RefreshHomeImprovements Im referring to the metal guide that mounts to the floor, that fits in the channel that is routed out on the bottom of the door. There is no instructions on how far to mount it from the wall.
Amazing!! Where can I get this system???
Thanks! The product is called the Magic 2 Legno Sliding Door System. Depending on where you’re located, you can get it from Richelieu.com
i like those doors
did yous make’m ?
we wish! Custom mill work 👍
Where can i buy these mechanism for the door
Гениально!
Do you know the manufacturer or any details on the actual doors themselves?
Yep, it should be in the description- but I’ll post a link below. We’ve also got another video on the product here: ruclips.net/video/leqf3apI7PI/видео.html
Information on the Magic 2 Legno sliding door system (you’ll find the spec sheet PDF here too)👍

@@RefreshHomeImprovements thanks. I’m looking for the actual door, not the hardware you’re using. The wood and glass door… do you have the info on who makes the actual door itself that is in this video.
@@braddixon939 sorry! I should have read the comment more closely 🤦♂️. The door is completely custom made by a millwork company. If you’re in the GTA I can pass their information on to you 👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovements thank you! Unfortunate we’re not. Appreciate the info.
Thanks for your video. I have a question that I don't see posted yet. I always find Richelieu's website confusing, at the top of the page it looks like they're saying they sell this hinge "4 by case" does that mean you get 4 of them? I only want 1. I'm hoping to use it for a bookcase door like another commenter mentioned. I also find their minimum/maximum door data sheet confusing af. But maybe if I wasn't just on my phone.
It certainly can be confusing! I think their website provides you the option to purchase multiple hardware sets at once, but you should be able to adjust the box number down to 1. The data sheet seems daunting at first, but we assure you if you read carefully and take your time, all the information you need is provided (and yes, its a lot easier with the hard copy you get in the box!) 👍. We recently visited this install again and did a quick video with some more info on the door here if you're interested 👉ruclips.net/video/CUHFi8451YA/видео.html
@@RefreshHomeImprovements yup! Thanks. I've watched that one too. I didn't know this hinge existed until your video. So I am grateful. I figured out my issue with their website too. I'll probably get a friend to print off the instructions before I pull the trigger though. Thanks for the reply!
Why dont you buy at Hafele they manufacture and design their own system and very reliable and made in Europe and your rep with help you get the right things you need! A German company you dont go wrong and prices are good!
How is the fixed door installed? It looks frameless.
That is a custom build wall section to match the door. It’s just framing that’s been clad in hardwood 👍
Hello it would be Helpful to see a video on how the frame and stationery door are installed.
What is the name of the hardware?
Can you install this behind a bookcase?
We don't see why not 👍 Wait... do you have a secret room?!
@@RefreshHomeImprovements we are using bookcase as the wall on both sides and want to mount the tracks onto the bookcase.
looks easier to install too
In many ways it is, and in many ways it isn’t 😉 👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovements haha ok. so you guys just made it look so easy
@@aly7379 us along with some fancy editing skills 😎. It’s not that it’s rocket science, it’s just very different from other doors we’ve installed. Once you understand it, it’s pretty straight forward 👍
Suppliers in the EU?
It’s made In Italy, so we’d be shocked if there weren’t. Try reaching out to them directly for more info: www.ternoscorrevoli.com/en/contacts 👍
