"There is no bloatware other than Windows"
Freakin brilliant
Still too much bloatware for me...
What you know about rolling down in the deep when your brain goes numb you can call that mental freeze aye
Windows is the epitome of boat and spyware.
This isn't 11 yet, bloating, spying and identity steeling wasn't as advanced in 10
Man roasted windows so hard
Definitely odd issues. I actually picked up an ABS PC a few months back because it was a solid deal for something that actually had a 3070 in it, and the worst I dealt with was just replacing the stock AIO fans that seemed to be faulty. Two Noctua fans later though, and all has been great since.
swap to their highest selling Air Cooler and also swap to their highest selling AIO. Compare thermals vs. cost/value of all 3. (stock/upgraded air/aio)
I like the idea
I like it
I agree with you on your comment, do all three.
This right here is an amazing idea.
Yes let’s do it
My first (new) PC was an ABS, a 1st gen Pentium I bought from them out of the back of a Computer Shopper catalog back in 1993. I had no idea that the company was still around. That was fun to see
When multiple hard crashes is "fine." We're just happy to have a GPU.
Oof.
😂
Haha!! Right? It comes with a graphics card so you can't really complain. 😅
@jim rose In all seriousness though, these can these easily be moded to be way better. I'm excited to see how it will turn out with a bit of elbow greese. Besides, isn't that what this hobby is all about? 😁
@@DawidDoesTechStuff have you tried anoter psu? :-)
Or you could just buy a ps5, comes with a better graphics cards and doesn't crash on bfv every 20 minutes
Yes. Would love to see you trouble shoot / upgrade this system. Keep up the great work!!
I would be interested to see what a new cooler would do for the temps, but also what a new Windows install would do for the demonic possession/crashes.
With hardware it's 99% of the time the PSU or Ram.
@Tano That’s because Wraith Spire coolers are actually pretty decent, honestly. I wouldn’t trust them to handle any serious overclocks, but stock clocks are handled just fine. I gave my 3600XT a stupid load and the Spire ramped up to over 3,000RPM and kept me below 75C the entire time.
@Tano Doesn’t have to be expensive to be decent. The fact that they make something which performs as well as the Spire does for such a cheap price and include it with the CPU is only a good thing. Intel could learn a thing or two, their stock coolers have been horrific for years. At least what AMD provides in the box isn’t useless junk. Plenty of people will replace it instantly and never use it, sure, but for those who can’t factor in the added cost of an extra cooler, the Spire performs really well for what amounts to a freebie.
@Tano I never said they’re not. Thermaltake’s products aren’t actually relevant when I’m talking specifically about the Wraith Spire.
It's a poor board and the vrms can't handle the temps.
He needs to enable 65w mode or get a better board and cooler
I have an ABS system that I bought with rtx 3070, and it has a tower Cooler on it. Honestly I’m still super impressed by what I got for the price, and the build quality and cable management is really really good. Honestly these systems are pretty good.
Gpu and cpu both stay around 60-70c
same here i live in canada and bought one of these system with rtx 3070 and i am very impress nothing to say about it beast machine for me nothing wrong no crash at all just one more word, just a nice pc to have :)
You should make a Video series where you fix up some of these pre-builts.
For sure! That's always really fun to do. 👍
Definitely need a follow up! I never owned a pre-built and this video and GN -s videos are reminders not to ever get one. But a lot of people are out of options and opt in for one.
For the price it should be something that works with little to no issues.
Man if you going to continue this you can open your PC shop soon :D
Imagine Dawid selling his hand built pre-builds. I would buy one for sure
Murderer of Fuuka!
@@BarrelRider621 me too
And if he made a video while building a PC to sell, I wonder what would be more profitable... The sale or the revenue from the video?
Oh for sure! Be able to sell a bunch of prebuilts that have been presavaged by me. 😅
I bought an abs like this on sale for $750 last year. It had the same RTX card. But an Intel i5 9400 I have running at 3.9 Ghz. The wiring..surprised me. It was good. 16 GB of the black OLOy dual channel RAM and still no problems, just needs more case fans and a better CPU cooler. Everything else I can upgrade later.
If def like to see a follow up video diving into why it was crashing. Sounds like it could be hardware related and almost RMA worthy
I have same issues with mine but not sure why
I finally had to threaten them with a Sheriff at the door to get my refund on a dead ABS system in January. I'll never use HumptyDumpty for anything anymore.
@@yourhandlehere1 I wouldn't buy a NewEgg prebuilt, but I don't mind getting other parts from them. When I built my PC last October, I got my motherboard and RAM from them for a good price.
Yeah. Hard crashing is a pretty dire sign
@@AznJungleFever have you tried reinstalling windows?
an upgrade video to this would be pretty cool. It would be a pretty good way to get an idea of how much one might have to spend to get one of these up to a higher standard.
Loving your content man!
It would be interesting to see the results of upgrading the cooler.
Got the same kind of prebuilt but with a 3070 out of desperation for any PC and a Corsair H100 AIO and Corsair Ram sticks saved my life
yeah rly weird im using stock heatsink on my 3600 ryzen, and my temps doesnt even reach 60c when gaming this one hitting 100c even tho the heatsink looks better then stock i guess its not lol
YES. Do a full Pimp My ABS including a negative pressure fan set up
hey Dawid, tell us about the PSU that caught on fire and took out a pc, extra points for video footage
Hey! I spoke about it in the video when it in the video when it happened. Unfortunately didn't catch it on camera.
I bought an ABS 3060ti system, got it January. All gigabyte stuff...from under the barrel.
(not just bottom barrel stuff, the barrel sits on top of it.) Two weeks later it was dead and on it's way back.
Fine one day, no boot the next, after a bit of fiddling, I finally got a nice rapid on/off loop before shoving it all back in the box.
I would be interested in seeing you diagnose the at-fault component for the stability issues... These are the WORST kind of problems to have with a pre-built, and it would be really helpful to see the steps taken (memtest, stress test, fresh OS install, component swapping, etc)
I wonder if it also could be the M.2 drive - I've never seen a prebuilt with an Intel one. I'd try bunging in a Samsung or a WD Black in there instead.
I'd chuck in a serious Noctua cooler in there to bring down the CPU temps - the NH-U12A I believe would >just< fit that case. I put one on my 9600KF overclocked, and it solved the overheating problems I had nicely, and cools off rapidly when load is taken off. And super quiet!
Definitely do a follow up I would like to see what you have to do to make it run properly. And maybe a new cooler too
I love all your vids, what keeps me coming back, the charisma? The knowledge? or the constant spot on Futurama memes that hit my heart dearly.
Thanks for the video, I would indeed like to see a follow up where you pop in the cooler you recommended or something like it just to see if the system was more usable. I would not be happy spending over a grand and having it crash ever 5 minutes!
"I miss McAfee, though" -- I cackled like a mad scientist.
We all miss him, he was a weird fellow.
RIP not really gonna miss him but RIP nonetheless
How was the "first thing" you noticed wasn't the dual sticks of RAM? LOL I know it's the biggest pet-peeve you have with pre-builts!
Haha!! There was just too much going on. 😅
@@DawidDoesTechStuff So it's a "works fine out of the box" kind of system?
@@HappyBeezerStudios To be fair it didn't work fine out of the box for me, but there is always a chance a system you buy is going to have a problem. Prebuilts can be pretty hit or miss, even within the same model.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff to be fair, though, even custom builts can have issues if you made a mistake, though it's easily solvable (mostly).
@@dragontales1999 Very true. PC components have a reasonable DOA rate in my experience.
I would like to see if the thermal re-do on this system would fix the stability issues. It looks like it was put together fine, decent cable management, and non-existent bloatware..but still abit in the high side for price.
Could have just run the thing with the side glass off to see if it was somehow overheating the CPU and crashing rather than throttling. Then it's time to look at runnnig memtest 86 to verify the RAM is good, then reinstall windows to see if it's a bad image.
@@Grimmwoldds I doubt that CPU cooler can cool fast enough even if it's got all the air it can handle, not enough there to do the job.
@@Grimmwoldds Don't know the actual cause but I have the same issue sometimes. Sometimes when I record gameplays with the nvidia in built recorder, the game crashes to the desktop. Sometimes the whole PC crashes and restarts. I have tried numerous things and found out all the hardwares and drivers are working fine but if I check the dump file it says system crashed due to "ntoskernel.exe". Have tried several other things but still same issue even though my thermals are pretty good and all the components working fine. I know that overlays can cause games to crash sometimes though.
Dawid : No bloatware other than windows itself
Linux users: Yes yes
@Tano Ikr I am an arch user and I won't say Kde is bloatware it is bloat.
my first pc was an ABS system. great stuff they got
Who remembers when dawid had 150k subs. i hope your day goes well and you have more subs than linus dawid.
The flames on the CPU fan blades are a bad omen
Yeah, I would give the bios an update probably, and then test the memory with memtest or another tool, that crashing is suspect, it shouldn't be the temps as although high, the CPU should be able to throttle itself.
Yeah! I agree that it isn't the temps. The crashes didn't seem to relate to temp spikes. I'll try and fix it before upgrading the system in the next video. 👍Memtest is a good suggestion thanks.
@@DawidDoesTechStuff i don't know, usually with ram problems you'd get BSODs at least that's what always happened to me when a ram stick goes bad
on another note, that crash to desktop is what happens to me when my overclock isnt exactly the most stable so maybe check if the gpu isn't defective?
@@DawidDoesTechStuff I'm sure you could find the problem if you tried. But I feel like its worth emphasizing in these prebuild videos that these systems really have to work out of the box to make sense/be successful as a product. If your target market is people who aren't confident enough or don't have the skills to identify and solve these problems, its pretty deal breaking when your product requires those skills to work. Anyway good stuff as always, thanks for the vid.
@@zvexevz I'd like to see Newegg/ABS follow up with Dawid to see if they can identify the problem.
I've often considered them if I were to buy a new PC, since they seem to be an excellent value. But this video has given me pause. Besides the crashing, there should be absolutely no issues activating Windows out of the box!
@@zvexevz and I concur that it should work out of the box without issue. While building your own is fine for a specific subset, for PC gaming to thrive amongst the masses, there needs to be quality and accessible prebuilt desktops and laptops available. In 2021 a prebuilt gaming PC should be almost as straightforward as a console, at least for getting started.
Dawid's grunts and groans during the unboxing is in itself worth the price of admission.
I wonder if the crashing issues are a one off thing with just your machine or a systemwide issue. Though I’m sure Anna won’t be happy if you bought another
That chip is running with high power limits and the vrms can’t handle it.
That board should never be sold with the chip
How do you not have tons of likes yet
did not expect to see dapz here
I had this issue when I bought y abs, I fixed it by enabling xmp in the bios
Love you bro
Yes please. A simple recase into a high airflow matx case and a gammax tower cooler.
'but I do really miss McAfee' lol, I nearly spit out my coffee.
For a follow up, you should game with the side panel taken off in addition to trying a better cooler. I have a feeling both the case and cooler are contributing to those high temps.
"A weak fart on a forest fire" is the best description of ewaste I've ever heard. Never stop being you Dawid! Cheers.
Jokes aside, the internal airflow on that case is completely unrestricted and probably pretty great.
I got the ABS Master with 3060 and love it. Sunset my old build. Way better than trying to upgrade GPUs in this market
"Assembled in the USA, what does that mean, that its going to break down every 7,000 kilometers?"
harsh, Dawid. just harsh.
Sorry. That was a bit rude. 😅
@@DawidDoesTechStuff its fine, good joke.

@@bradhaines3142 Im a proud chevy owner.
@@masterhauge2051 chevy is solid. its definitely between those 2. their cars are a bit hit and miss but definitely not that frequency. ford is generally trash in the long term but tend to last the warranty, spoilers- 'FCA' is just pure garbage.
I have the same brand pc and had no idea how to pop that cooler off. This just helped me out
I have one of these ABS systems with same case, cooler and RAM. Though mine has Ryzen 5 3600 and a GTX 1660 super. I've had a couple crashes, which I suspect where from the RAM. With XMP disabled I've had no crashes. With XMP enabled at 3000mhz is when I've had the crashes. I was going to try to see if my stability is better running at 2933mhz or something. My Temps are also nowhere near as bad and I'm in Alberta. I did rip out the mesh on one of the tiny front intake slots to try to improve airflow a bit. ... and I also happen to a noctua cpu cooler ready to install
Run windows memory diagnostic on that ram at the very least, and memtest at best. I got a system from a uk company that did the same thing as yours. They made me run memtest, it got errors so they swapped the ram and it's fine.
My 3600 runs 3200MHz ram fine on an ASRock b450 pro 4, and was fine with 3000MHz on a Gigabyte b450m DS3H, so i suspect your ram is buggered
I love how pre-builts are literally just competition for who can sell the most garbage tier parts for the most profit
Paying current retail for those components would probably cost $1000 US if you could find a rtx 2060 for $400. Assuming Newegg pays 30% less for wholesale after factoring various business related overhead their profit is at least $500 on that POS PC, and that's a conservative estimate. Pretty shitty that they can't pay an employee $50 for testing stability/quality.
I would love to see what this PC does with a decent fan on the processor.
Also- your new studio looks great! (although I do miss the cat interruptions, is that weird?)
This is the only channel where the ads are worth watching
"Do you want me to pimp this bad boy?", Dawid.

the canadian forest will always burn but never totally burn down sorry man not gonna happen 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@raven4k998 Con Sarn Forrest!
I had a similar problem with my wife's computer we built. We chose a case that looks very similar to what you have there. The metal and glass of the case was getting uncomfortably hot while playing games using a 780ti and Ryzen 3600. It turned out to be a problem with the intake fans. They were literally pushed so close to the front window they didn't have ANY airflow. The problem was fixed by unscrewing and remounting on the inside wall of the case rather than the outside. Runs perfectly now.
Your better off building your own
I'm lazy
My gut feelings is that its an issue with the ram and then the cooler. I would defiantly replace the CPU fan with the one you recommended. Then make sure the ram timings are stock. If it still crashes, then you should see how Neweggs return policy is.
It's always hilarious when Brits talk smack about American cars, let's have a little chat about British cars shall we?
Dawid is Canadian lol
@@captinsparklezremix Yeah, but I think he's in British Columbia, so he's partially right.
I'm American and didn't take offense to it because he's... joking. Dawid is funny and not from Britain. ease up a little bit.
@@frommatorav1 that’s still Canadian nothing to do with English
The front fans need to be moved to the back side of the mounts, they are blocking the only small wholes air has to travel through
or better yet, replace that glass with a mesh
A friend of mine purchased his first pc from new egg. It’s the ABS with a 3070 and I believe an i7. It was okay I was a little disappointed upon unboxing and set up as he asked me to do this for him. One of the 3 front 120 fans was not plugged in, and the gpu locking tap broke off the mother board. Luckily i was able to make everything work as we didn’t want to deal with sending it back and waiting for another unit.
Thanks for all the info. For a noob like me who begins to learn about pc and looking to buy one in the years to come these are VALUABLE infos for me..
The first PC I bought was an ABS, had an AMD k6-2 350. No complaints with the system
I worked for an accounting firm where they had to do the activation that way, was so stupid especially since I had to send in a ticket to have it fixed instead of them running this when setting up the system in the first place.
Newegg prebuilts usually have dual channel ram. Dawid should be in heaven
Leave off the side panel for better temps. It could help the crashes too
Oh my god those TEMPS!!! 😲
Here I am with a stock intel air cooler and a 6th gen i7 getting no more than 65c at max performance, seriously dont know how they can fuck it up so much! (I'm not even using over 75% of the cooler speed and its still relatively quiet, nowhere near microwave levels of loudness)
Hell, even my GTX1080 Ti gets no more than 70C at peak usage, although I do game without a side panel, because my case has awful airflow and only a single backside fan (unlike this one that has 3 on the front).
BTW one thing to mention is thermal paste and how important it is - I changed mine last year and went from 80C+ on the regular to sub 60. It seems it has dried up a bit so now I hit around 65 at most, but still, makes a huge difference. (Im using the arctic silver mx-4, picked it up for 5 bucks, best money spent ever)
I have a case like this one with the glass in the front. I decided to take the glass off and my temps went down >10 degrees C under load lol.
yeah that glass should've been a grate instead because it really restricts the airflow
Can't wait for the follow-up video to see if some minor fixes can make this PC a winner.
Your comments are simply gold Dawid never disappoints
Had recently switched over from pc builds... to AR and pistol AR builds. Kind of nice.
At least New Egg didn't ship you a PSU that would detonate upon receiving some fuel... RIP GigaByte's PSU division.
Hey, I have that same cpu cooler, the thermaltake v200! I immediately recognized it. I'm only on a 2200g, but I'm trying to upgrade to a 3600 or 3700 later this week, wish me luck!
The "Pimp My Pre-built" should be its own video series!
Thumbs up on cooler you suggested, been using those air coolers since late 2000s
Yes please. Would like to see how the system performs with better cooler. And maybe a better airflow planning can help reduce the case temperature too.
I really like your videos much, been an inactive member but the way you present yourself 💯💯
Yes thank you - videos on "How to pimp your otherwise "meh" but not terrible prebuilt" have been something I've wanted to see more of!
Dawid! Do a follow up where you change the cooler and check boost frequencies and temperature. Like two other coolers, one high-end and maybe lika Hyper-212 or Freezer 33.
I'm watching this on my ABS PC.
I fully expect Dawid to open-loop water cool this beast
I have the X20 PC from Build Pro PC. It was only about $750 after shipping and it has a Ryzen 5 and a GTX 1650. For under $800 it is amazing.
the legends are true! there's actually a prebuilt with dual channel memory!
Next you should review an ARMOURY prebuild from Canada Computers!
So. I bought the Gladiator system to get a hold of a 3070, and am giving the desktop and my 1070 to my 9 year old. Honestly, it was nice. ABS packed it well, everything was secure. It had an eVGA 240 AIO, team 1TB nVME SSD, eVGA 80 gold PSU, Aorus board, etc. It has been super nice. My only complaint was that they had windows booting to recovery every time. But I had an extra license of pro I wanted to use anyway. So I reinstalled. But I was super impressed with it.
The one I bought was listed at just over $2K prior to shell shocker. I got it on sale for $1699. But I'm extremely happy with the purchase.
put a box fan on the side, leave the glass off. see if with lower temps it stops crashing...
Front IO looks like some hidden Decepticon, look at his smile!
I really think that the crashes are only because of temps............it would be nice to see a video with just the cpu cooler changed for a better one and then do the exact tests to compare frequencies fps and temps and if it doesnt crash anymore we will know that with a better cooler the problem is resolved ...keep it up David !!!
Yes please do a follow up video of swapping out that cooler
3:46 "The CPU cooler equivalent of a weak fart on a forest fire" OMG funniest metaphor ever. I'm stealing it.
ABS with front mesh is the one I got for ~$1300. at time 3060 was $1000 by itself.
I love how you say we don't need a fancy cooler and then you you suggest the fancy version of the most popular cooler.
Futurama reference in a good tech video 10/10 when I get paid I’m buying merch.
"A weak fart on a forest fire" freakin killed me. Lost it. I have been binging all your crap(said with love) inbetween calls(I'm in EMS), and your quips are Clarkson-esque, but that one was one of your best.
I own this PC. I use it with the glass side off. Sound isn't really an issue as I mostly use my headset. Temps never get crazy in Warzone or Diablo II
I bought ABS Ryzen... I have 3 isssues 1. Bios was not up to date causing crashes 2. Memory speed they sold me wasn't compatible with motherboard so runs just a touch slower, (and I had to set speed myself in the bios) 3. Power switch on case sometimes takes a few presses. After I got the memory and bios issues fixed... Its been a great system. I'm just living with the power switch for now.. Its an easy fix if I ever decide to put a new switch in...
I chose Build Pro PC for my prebuilt computer, and I'm over the moon with my decision. This PC is a visual delight, and its performance, especially considering the price, is truly outstanding. The team's exceptional friendliness and support make them a top recommendation in my book.
liking the new studio. I think more of those little plants in the background would look nice
You got my support and subscription. Hope you keep delivering
Newegg is awesome. I've gotten all my computers and computer parts from there.
oh you know we like those "fixing up an SI computer with parts it should have come with in the first place" videos.
For the Cables in the back i'd call it "a case of modern art" or "abstract art" :)
Finally, an actually respectable Pre-Built
I owned one of those Deepcool cases, 50 or 55, can't recall exactly. The front fans are choked, I removed both lateral grid strips (the ones on the inside and they are just glued) and temps improved 2 or 3ºC, I had an Hyper 212 blowing to the back and the air was entering through the top of the case (I made a smoke test to check it). That front panel is really bad, I wanted to try screwing the fans on the other side of the metal of their original position but I don't have the case anymore. I also taped the hole above the fans to prevent air recirculation.
I think its time to invest in a cpl filter for your camera so you can reduce the reflections on any reflectiv surface
As soon as I saw that CPU cooler I imagined trouble; as soon as you mentioned "I7 10700F", I knew it would be double!
"A solid piece of tempered glass with 3 fans behind it, and some ventilation effect on the side" Pretty savage lol i like it
your content is that good I read the comments before the video starts for cheap laughs, nicely done Dawid
I recently ordered a very high rated Newegg abs 3070 prebuilt with an aio and I hope to God it just works perfectly like $2200 should work
