The one thing everyone who has succeeded at YT says, just do your thing and the views/subs will follow. If you try to cater to the world you are just gonna get burnt out and over it. Just do what comes naturally for you. Definitely concentrate on one platform until you find your groove, then run with it. I've always appreciated your lack of tacky RUclipsr vibe. Bro, I really wish the best for you. Love your content. One advice I think you could use to get more success is having more consistency, like lets say you get your sim racing rig back: try to have a schedule so that you release videos consistently. Maybe try having a 3-4 hour session drifting on multiple tracks and/or cars, and cut those into 30 minute pieces so that you can feed your channel daily. I'm not trying to sound like an expert or anything, but I noticed that the channels I happen to follow regularly are channels that I can get into the 'habit' of watching. But you can't do that if the content comes once a week. Hope you get everything figured out dude. Keep it up.

Been with you since the beginning Homie, sometimes doing what everyone wants, to build the fan base then incorporating your twist like the old days (funny vids) grabs the rest of the people you want to grab. IMO your way different than any car channel. Your personable you got badass cars and the rest will fall into place.

I think pursuing a youtube channel in hopes of a business is inherently going to make people not interested in what your making. Theirs no genuine person, just someone chasing algoriths and whats getting looked at. If you make the content you enjoy making, whether it be more spaced apart, less expensive, and because you actually enjoy making it. Not because ur hunting revenue
Most important thing is to love what you do, ppl come and go, as long as you keep doing you, it will benefit you and your channel :p sometimes it is wise to stay low for a while, your videos are awesome anyways don't be so harsh on yourself :p all gooood bro just don't spend all of you for views ok? drifting is most expensive hobby out there anyways

Personally I think you should keep everything on one channel and whenever a vlog happens it's just thrown on here. But, keep a schedule somewhat with reacts, and sim drifting stuff. Obviously do whatever feels right but splitting your audience is only gonna cause more issues in my opinion. The same with streaming. I would personally keep it on RUclips.
Have you thought about streaming just for fun? Whenever you get your simrig back, I'd love to watch a stream. Might just give you steady revenue. Do it with Dan just does chill streams but they have a good amount of viewers.

For me personally, and I think with me there are loads of others who agree, you’re one of the most entertaining automotive RUclipsrs out there. I came across your channel when I got into sim racing and I stuck around for your entertaining and respectable personality. I'm not a youtuber, or have any factual data, but I think as ppl have mentioned already, I would've thought that having just one channel with your different categories of videos split up by playlists vs having multiple channels would keep your fans all under one roof. It would take all of your subscribers across all of your channels and combine them into one total entity and make it easier to see all of your types of videos. I only knew of one of your channels and if youtube didn't recommend one of your other channels I would've never known they existed. I wouldn't want to rely on youtube to tell ppl about multiple channels when trying to promote one channel is difficult enough as it is. And I would think getting all of your engagement and subscribers on one channel would make youtube's algorithm boost the one bigger and more engaged channel vs multiple lesser engaged channels. Another aspect is, say I wanted to tell a friend about you and your content, I would have to share multiple channels to one person and explain each channel. In reality, they would be less likely to engage with multiple channels and more likely be inclined to engage with more videos (and more types of videos) under one channel. I've seen some big channels cancel their 2nd channel quick because it became less feasible to properly feed multiple channels vs just one main channel. Chances are, you may never read this, and I could be totally wrong on all accounts, but maybe listing all of my opinions from an average youtube viewers perspective could spark an angle that maybe was never considered 🤷 Shiiiiiiiit idk lol One thing is for sure, I want nothing but success for my favorite Primary Color Drifter ❤🤟 🤘

Klutch Kickers, Riverside, ND Drift, etc.. come down to Florida over the winter and hit some fun day events.. network as much as possible with everyone.. and always remember everything you do can be turned into content.. I know something that might work, there's a channel I watch under the name Taywavy, he does mainly IRL slammed car reviews. You could probably do some similar content when you start vlogging again but with local drift cars. It's something that can get you out IRL again without costing nearly anything. Also, I do know there's a fairly easy way to hook up a Cannon EOS DLSR as a web cam which would probably help the quality of quick videos like this and might even make the editing process for reacts slightly easier. Anyways have fun with your class, I hope you're able to learn a lot and re-launch this channel with a Bang. Good luck.

I've been noticing that the "Drifting Across America" videos weren't performing as well as one would expect. One thing may be that the algorithm has put you into the "Reactions" box ( Hence the crazy view counts on those ), and won't push other content that you make. Another thing that I would recommend is labeling and numbering the "Drifting Across America" videos in numerical order, It may get traction with the algorithm
I know FL is far away but there are drifters down there with shop space. Maybe keep your R32 down there and fly down a week in advance and compete in Klutch Kickers next year. More exposure, and especially if you can place.

I also watched your channel to see you cause you have a really cool personality and content creator. You're right, this reminds me of when I used to watch this one RUclipsr few years ago who played Dead by Daylight. And he had around 200-300k subs and then he burnt out and didn't want to play DBD anymore. But whenever he made any other content he would get maybe like 5000 views.. he ended up switching to streaming instead of making the same videos over and over. But still lost so many fans.
I really think its a good idea too keep things on one channel. If you have to seperate then do a gaming channel, the react things seems too niche. You can do waay better with other things, your personality is unique and people watch the reacts because it brings out your personality, not because of the reacts. Maybe do autoshow vlogs or attend motorfestivals and races. Just do things that you enjoy!

You with the Cars, you with this,you with that. And for what I see from other car channels is that l their main focus is always their Cars and and the host comes second. I hope this make sense. I feel bad on the clothing issue on my part between you , Donut media , Hoonigan, Gears & Gasoline I have non of their appeal besides fitment industries cause I got my falkens , so know some of us do feel bad about not being able to get merch from our favorite car channels

I came across your channel when I got into sim racing and I stuck around for your entertaining and respectable personality.
I'm not a youtuber, or have any factual data, but I think as ppl have mentioned already, I would've thought that having just one channel with your different categories of videos split up by playlists vs having multiple channels would keep your fans all under one roof. It would take all of your subscribers across all of your channels and combine them into one total entity and make it easier to see all of your types of videos. I only knew of one of your channels and if youtube didn't recommend one of your other channels I would've never known they existed. I wouldn't want to rely on youtube to tell ppl about multiple channels when trying to promote one channel is difficult enough as it is. And I would think getting all of your engagement and subscribers on one channel would make youtube's algorithm boost the one bigger and more engaged channel vs multiple lesser engaged channels. Another aspect is, say I wanted to tell a friend about you and your content, I would have to share multiple channels to one person and explain each channel. In reality, they would be less likely to engage with multiple channels and more likely be inclined to engage with more videos (and more types of videos) under one channel. I've seen some big channels cancel their 2nd channel quick because it became less feasible to properly feed multiple channels vs just one main channel.
Chances are, you may never read this, and I could be totally wrong on all accounts, but maybe listing all of my opinions from an average youtube viewers perspective could spark an angle that maybe was never considered

Klutch Kickers, Riverside, ND Drift, etc.. come down to Florida over the winter and hit some fun day events.. network as much as possible with everyone.. and always remember everything you do can be turned into content.. I know something that might work, there's a channel I watch under the name Taywavy, he does mainly IRL slammed car reviews. You could probably do some similar content when you start vlogging again but with local drift cars. It's something that can get you out IRL again without costing nearly anything. Also, I do know there's a fairly easy way to hook up a Cannon EOS DLSR as a web cam which would probably help the quality of quick videos like this and might even make the editing process for reacts slightly easier. Anyways have fun with your class, I hope you're able to learn a lot and re-launch this channel with a Bang. Good luck.

@@HaugenRacing Matt your videos & vlogs really mean a lot.Especially to a guy like me out here in South Africa....Life here us super hard & when you've had a car shop for nearly 20yrs... then life happens....lost my Mom to cancer... had to close the shop....then went around bouncing from job to job not finding my feet cause nowhere I went I felt like my skills or time was appreciated or respected...even when putting in extra... all this in a less than 3rd world country.....So I love to watch what you do as I will never be able too do so....

I've been noticing that the "Drifting Across America" videos weren't performing as well as one would expect. One thing may be that the algorithm has put you into the "Reactions" box ( Hence the crazy view counts on those ), and won't push other content that you make. Another thing that I would recommend is labeling and numbering the "Drifting Across America" videos in numerical order, It may get traction with the algorithm
How can someone contact you about editing?
I know FL is far away but there are drifters down there with shop space. Maybe keep your R32 down there and fly down a week in advance and compete in Klutch Kickers next year. More exposure, and especially if you can place.

You're right, this reminds me of when I used to watch this one RUclipsr few years ago who played Dead by Daylight. And he had around 200-300k subs and then he burnt out and didn't want to play DBD anymore. But whenever he made any other content he would get maybe like 5000 views.. he ended up switching to streaming instead of making the same videos over and over. But still lost so many fans.
I really think its a good idea too keep things on one channel. If you have to seperate then do a gaming channel, the react things seems too niche. You can do waay better with other things, your personality is unique and people watch the reacts because it brings out your personality, not because of the reacts. Maybe do autoshow vlogs or attend motorfestivals and races. Just do things that you enjoy!
