As a longtime fan of the comics, I would just like to say this was an extremely amazing adaptation! Even though changes were made, they were made beautifully! This show is wonderful and lovely for fans of the comic and new fans alike. It’s so binge worthy, and the episodes aren’t too long so you don’t get burnt out after a couple episodes. The casting is so diverse and perfect for the characters! So much amazing representation!! If you’re looking for a heartfelt and heartwarming LGBTQIA+ series, this is the one for you! Literally go watch this show right now!!

The only reason why I watched this is because Olivia Colman is in it. I'm glad I did, it's a great show.

Olivia Coleman played a mum of a gay teenager in Beautiful People, she was lovely in that.

Not the first time Olivia Colman has played a supportive Mum to a queer teenage character. Check her out in the amazing "Beautiful People".

The coming out scene with Olivia and Kit was done so well it was overwhelmingly beautiful, sensitive, emotional, and adjectives not yet invented.

Beyond the fact that is displays wholesome, well thought out LGBTQ+ representation that goes beyond the scope of sexual orientation, it is probably one of the best romantic comedies I've seen in the past decade. It is unbelievably relatable and charming with accurate interpretations of emotions like rejection, crushing, and pining. The illustrations and beautiful color schemes are excellent references to the original comic and make every scene look like a work of art. It's such a satisfying series and I'm beyond excited for more to come! I love it and I appreciate it for all that it is worth. I've never felt better seen and represented in a series than this one. Highly recommend for everyone!

I´ve been a veteran fan of Alice´s work since 2019 and let me tell you, I LOVED the cast. The cast was absolutly perfect. One of the things I loved most was on one episode, Nick Nelson (played by Kit Connor) was struggling with his sexuality. He did a great preformance in showing how it really feels not knowing who you really are. I also loved how they showed more reprisentation in the LGBTQ+ with a lesbian couple, and a trans woman. Please watch this show! It really did make my heart stop! In a good way of course.

I was pleasantly surprised by the series. The first episode had me hooked because it was so cute and adorable, and I liked how we stayed true to the book, despite some minor changes. I really enjoyed this series and finished it in a matter of hours.
This book/series has a special place in my heart because of how relatable some of the situations are, and especially because I felt connected to each character and their life stories.
Alice is the most amazing human being on the planet. They create unique and diverse story lines that I have never heard or read before. It is never boring to read their books. I'm so grateful that I had this story when I was going through a difficult time in my life, and Alice deserves all of this attention for their story because they changed my life and brought us happiness when we needed it! And the live action with Kit and Joe was fantastic. Thank you to the entire cast and crew.

oml.... this show is so good I can't even explain. The actors in the show represent each emotion so well. I mean when Kat Connor played the character of Nick, and came out to his mom, I could really feel the fear and emotion he portrayed. As someone part of LGBTQ I thoroughly enjoyed this and found both actors to be portraying their roles perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better LGBTQ show. I can't wait for a season 2, and seeing what these amazing actors will produce next!!!!!

i just finished watching this and I don't i've cried this many tears, mostly of happiness, towards anything. I defintly don't have enough words in my vocab to descibe how fantastic it was but i'll try.
It has impacted me so much and I literally can't say enough good things about it. This is one of the best shows, if not the best show, i've ever watched and i recommend it to everyone. It shows such a relatable and realistic story, and for someone who only figured out their sexuality and gender identity in recent years, i am so glad more things like this are being made so people can feel accepted in the world.
The coming out scene with Nick was something i was sobbing at because it is one of the best moment in your life and it was done so amazingly that i broke down in tears. Just everything about it was ahhhh in such a good way.
In short, this show is amazing and deserves all the support in the world

this was an amazing show i cried like-
like the graphic novels had me squealing and fangirling a few months ago and when I finished them I was in bliss NOT KNOWING IT WAS BEING PRODUCED AS A SHOW then today I wake up around 10 and I open netflix and yk how it has like random things you might like to watch? i was staring at it and my heart literally stopped when my brain made the connection of where I'd seen that name before and I let out this grotesque scream and immediately started binging it. This show is SO faithful to the gra-nov, everyone KNOWS how hard it its to find shows/movies that do that (netflix's winx club). The soundtrack is beautiful and the actors are a beautiful match. What a lovely surprise honestly THANK THE NETFLIX GODS!!!

    LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES!
I’ve always never be able to watch gay (guy and guy) but THIS IS SO HEART WARMING.
Despite some of their naughty friends but I love how some of their friends and family are so supportive towards their sexuality. And especially how Nick find out about his sexuality is just so cute.
The whole series is short and sweet which is what keeps me going. The editing, the mood, the color toning and their outfit is just perfect. So bright so nice to watch. The choice of the songs are bomb as well!
All the cast are definitely cute and well picked and paired! Major loveeee.

First of all huge appreciation to the makers, cast and writer of the story. Probably this is for the first time when a mainstream series is about a gay relationship and not some show where LGBTQ relationship has been added just as a side character for the sake of having. It has been portrayed so beautifully that regardless of their sexuality every teen can relate with it.
Really, it is sweet, simple without much plot twist and drama a lovely 8 episodes worth binging. The story need not be extended much with another season but that's upto the makers.

Loved every single episode. It really balances between making the show about romance, friendship, and family. This is the type of teen show that teens need nowadays. It is super appropriate for all ages and deals with other teen shows' themes without being overly dramatic nor inappropriate. Finally a teen show that does not sexualize gay couples and puts it at the center stage. It displays a love that is simple, pure, and genuine, yet struck by the obstacles and changes of adolescence. The show makes a noble blend between optimism and heart-warmth as well as tackling issues that LGBTQ+ teens and people in general deal with daily. I did not expect such a wholesome teen show to be so worthy of watching. The episodes were the right length and it never failed to bore me. The soundtrack feels very relatable to the teen scene and fits perfectly with the show. Definitely up there with Sex Education and other critically acclaimed teen shows. Please Netflix make Season 2 of this!
