@davidspradley9182 0 seconds ago I ordered the Himiway Zebra step over (blue color) because it was on sale and $200.00 less expensive. I recently received the bike on 11/20/23. It turns out that I received a "Limited Edition"? The instruction manual gave instructions for the older control/display. It turns out I received the one you reviewed? Any Ideas?
Thanks for the video. I just got my Cobra D 7 a few days ago. I did not get a manual for the upgraded display. Do you know where I get can get one or download it. Thanks!

I have been on your RUclips site a number of times. So glad I got on it tonight. I was going on a few trails and a tree jumped out in front of me and I had to bail. Unfortunately my displays isn’t very happy. Very glad it Didn’t take out my bike as I was miles from home. Looks like this will work fine with my Lectric 2.0 . Could you please tell where is the best place to get one Thanks R
@@BuffaloShanne When you get a gift you say many thanks. And yes there are a lot of E bikes that I would have preferred. Right now they are out till some where 4/ ?/23. I have been on your channel and really enjoy it. Knowledge is power and I have learned a lot. Thanks
After installing the new display, I was able to get into the advanced setting! :( The new display limits the speed and power assess NO longer is available. NOT WORTH the purchase.... Himiway should disclose these important changes.
No Pedal Assist Settings! Thats a deal braker. Himiway doesnt mention that on their website. Also there is a setting for the headlight to default to on or off at startup. That doesnt work. The headlight will always come on. Back to the original display.
Be mindful that the headlight automatically comes on if the ambient lighting is low... i.e. your garage is dark when you power on your bike. If you turn it on outside in the daylight it won't come on automatically.
I contacted himiway and ask them to rectify this. This monitor may look cool but when they took away the ability to change the speed. Than this monitor serves no purpose at all anymore.
@@leojagawaga6481 I got the KD718 for my Zebra after 2000 miles and I'm a little mixed about it. Pros: -The speed does unlock to a maximum of 36mph with the rear wheel lifted -Voltage meter and power consumption indicator can either be shown in bars like the original display or as numerical values. Huge plus!! -Better looking display, hands down -Still has the same menu options as the original display Cons: -Speed is not guaranteed to reach 36mph. Moving downhill can reach it, but flat ground and even small inclines cannot. My flat ground speed is 29mph which I think is still acceptable. I weigh 150lbs and I've heard heavier people over 230lbs get 32mph on flat surface. -Swapping displays resets your odometer, if you care about this. The old odometer will still be saved on the original display. -Rear taillight doesn't function the same anymore. When braking, it flashes red twice as fast and turning on the front headlight does not turn on the solid red taillight. I haven't checked if there's anything different with the headlight functionality since I removed mine to use a rechargeable front light. -It's a battery killer!! I used to get around 40 miles of range on mainly throttle only. With the KD display and the same kind of riding with the new max speed, I'm now getting closer to 22 miles. Despite the cons, I'm going to keep using the display and ride more closely to before by limiting my throttle and pedal assist to 24mph and only use the increased speeds for "emergencies" like to keep up a little better with traffic when riding on streets with no sidewalk or bike lanes. Or max speed it on shorter trips

Who knows? Himiway won't respond, much less tell us how to navigate advanced settings. Jeez, why couldn't I have received the controller as advertised?
Buffalo.. what is the model number of this display.. There are multiple Himiway displays.. I need one that is visible in full direct sunlight.. Can you provide the Model.. It is like saying, i'm going to review a bafang without indicating what model number.. LOL.
@@BuffaloShanne I found online the KD986 and the previous model KD718... Problem is they do not have specs like: is this UART "round 5pin plug"..? or is it the CANBUS triangle plug..? I have a Bafang BBSHD and need to find a display that doesn't go black in the sunlight. The only Bafang compatible is the M620 that is built into the bike frame. They don't mention BBSHD. Himiway website has absolutely no information on compatibility.. And they say, "not responsible for compatibility issues.." How do you know if it is compatible if they don't give specs on the plugs.. nor information on compatibility with 52v systems.. SPECS are required to make sound decisions..
I UN-installed this and went back to the original controller display. This one made my cruiser crawl. Could not up to even 20mph
Thanks for saving me money, the effort and time!
Thanks. I'll will pass on this upgrade. Its 2023 and they can't create a simple menu like so many other displays.

Disappointed in the limits of the controller.. We were duped!!!!! Going back to old one. Tisk! Tisk!
What are the mph at each pas? On pas 1 I am at 14 mph! That seems high for starting. I hate that there is no way to adjust the percentage!
Hi mate is there a booklet, to find your away round the DISPLAY. Thanks Don

Did you pop it on the zebra and get anything different? Seems a shame we’ve lost the pas options though.
No I didn’t . I rather have the options for pa on the zebra. It’s not as big of a deal on the cobra
