- THE RACERS DID NOT BET $3K, I was misinformed on that bet! They only raced for bragging rights.
This race was a grudge match between an Avanti 33' with Quad 400 Mercury Outboards (flashed to 485hp) vs a 36' Carrera with 400 (flashed to 485hp) Mercury Outboards and Nitrous! Their is controversy with the race. Their will be a rematch to settle the controversy once and for all!

Great race and great driving. There’s something special about a monohull going 100+ MPH grudge races are always fun, I hope no one got their feelings hurt too bad and use that as motivation for more dialing in time.

Nah 1 of the motors on the avanti stalled cause of over heating over trimmed, the nos shot on the carrera is small

Gotta say it’s probably the props made the difference. Nitrous probably allowed them to push a bigger prop or a surface prop at that speed

That because it’s a complete carbon fiber hull so 3 ft long but close to 1000 lbs lighter

I’m the owner driver of the carrera 36 there was no money between the owners of both boats all so the Avanti 33 has the motors flashed to 485 make that clear one the video is Edit thank you 💯🤝
@@bigdog616 so i have the footage with correct engine specs and there was no gambling involved.
All 7 engines of the boats were flashed to 488 hp and the Carrera has nitrous
