Hilarious this is.
Jokes aside something like this could genuinely have happened. I could think of two ways this could've happened.
First, Anakin recorded the conversation and played an edited version of said recording to Mace Windu. Mace officially promotes Anakin on the spot. Anakin would've obviously entered the Archives immediately. There are a lot of other scenarios that could crop up from this.
Did he record literally every conversation he had with Palpatine? If yes did he keep said recordings? If yes does he listen to the recordings? Does he recognize Palpatine's manipulations upon listening to them? Does he, in his rage, decide to screw with Palpatine by downloading everything from the Archives, plant explosives to destroy the Archives in addition to the Sith Holocrons, then take every youngling in the Temple to a ship and run before everything goes badly?
Palpatine would definitely have killed Mace in this hypothetical timeline. Then did everything he did in canon. Anakin would also have gone to get Padme in this timeline before leaving the planet. And I doubt he'd have given her a choice.
The second, Anakin already had Mace's trust so he promotes Anakin on the spot. Again.
Finally a story that gives Tiin and Kolar the credit they deserve. Too many treat them as pushovers, no challenge. But they were some of the best in the order. Being held in high regard by Windu is no small feat. Great story, much appreciated.
Windu is dead and Anakin gets a happy ending? This is too good to be true!
I love how you altered the outcome of the duel because Anakin didn't have any harsh feelings for the other Jedi Masters. Additionally, him and Fisto worked together in the war so that would have been a whole other conflict. Overall, a very nice small story. 🫡
This really a very good small story which unconditionally even deserves to be continued.
Revenge of the Sith has without a doubt, the greatest fans in movie history.

I truly loved how the three Jedi helped to turn. Anakin around and kill Sidious. I like how Windu getting killed first. I liked that Kit lived. Best moment Anakin turning down being a Jedi to be a family man
I know I asked for What if Kit Fisto survived, but holy shit this blew me out of the water, really loved this theory and I support it, especially since Kit (and the other masters, bar Windu) seemingly treated Anakin with nothing but respect and kindness.

What if Echos of Oblivion didn’t happen in SWTOR and Vitiate/Valkrion returned during the movies akin to your Darth JarJar fic spanning the saga?
What if Vader and Thrawn lead a Imperial Rebellion separate from the main one?
What if Starkiller survived and trained the Skywalker Twins?
What if Lord Starkiller replaced Vader in the Original Trilogy after TFU1 Darkside Ending (not counting DLC)
What if Legends New Republic fought the First/Final Order?
What if the Empire was Good and the Rebels were Bad?

What if Grievous escaped Utapau for Mustafar and then Anakin tried to kill Grievous and the other separatists and then Grievous and Obi-wan team up to fight Anakin on Mustafar?
knightfall Anakin would have finished what Mace started and force crushed the rest of Grievous' organs.

What if ghost squadron figured out what the geonosian was talking about and found out about the Death Star early
Luke was very right when he remarked that Palpatine's weakness was his overconfidence. Palpatine was like a cat playing with mice; he enjoyed the game too much.
Choosing to kill Windu last was very risky but Palpatine was surely confident that Vapaad was nothing in comparison to his powers and that Mace's maniacal love for Republic and animosity with Anakin could be the key.
But since in your story Palpatine kill Mace first, the other Jedi Masters could overcome their shock at Palpatine's powers and stand up to him. Also since the Grand Inquisitor killed Jocasta I wonder who's going to replace her.
And Padme choosing the Republic over her family life is something she would do. Canon!Leia was similar in this regard and it was her greatest flaw.

It would be curious to see a What-If Master Fisto was a Dark Jedi. Not a Sith Lord, but someone more akin to Dooku.

Awesome as always. I'm so glad you touched on the fact that Padme and Anakin didn't really have a healthy relationship. She confessed she loved him back when they were about to be executed; their wedding was a "proof of life" action then they were knocking boots in any available broom cupboard. I really feel that if Palpatine wasn't in the middle, this is how it would have gone. Thank you!!

Well it is possible since Palpatine knows all weaknesses of the Jedi and is a master of all lightsaber forms so in this scenario Palpatine switches to form 2 which is Dooku's lightsaber form because Palpatine knows that's the best counter to Vapad

This may seem strange, but I would have actually enjoyed even a quick gloss over of what the Republic had become under the senate. It was clear enough that papa Palps turned the government from a parliamentary republic into a presidential one (with expanded powers for the president) but what would come after? A council replacing the role of chancellor? Or the senate itself taking over as collective head of state and government? I forget what that form of government is actually called, but yeah I enjoy star wars politics.
Enjoyed this, did appreciate the effort in giving these three Jedi the respect they were due as masters of the council and great duellists.

How it might play out step by step:
- Barriss kills Anakin (how you may ask ... hmmmm maybe she uses the high ground?)
- Temple Guards capture Barriss and take her to the trail
- Bariss admits to crimes and gives a similar speech about how the JEDI have lost way
- Ahsoka's head is spinning
- Palpatine/Sidious is P***ed to hear that Anakin is dead, but maybe this situation can be turned to his advantage
- 50/50 split on whether Ahsoka will quit being a part of the JEDI
- Bariss gets locked up but after some time gets broken out by Dooku under orders from Sidious
- Palpatine convinces Ahsoka to go recapture Bariss (actually just setting them up so that one will kill the other, whoever survives will become his new apprentice)
- Ahsoka is given command of the 501st, after some epic chases, battles and time has passed cue (Duel of Fates) Ahsoka vs Barriss
- while all this is happening, Obi Wan would go capture or kill Maul (after which Obi Wan will be stuck with Cody/212th on a ship during Order 66), Kit Fisto would be sent to kill General Grievous (dies later due to Order 66), Mace Windu would stay on Coruscate to investigate Palpatine (dies via combination of Sidious and Coruscate Guard), Plo Koon might go after Dooku (as a means of helping Ahsoka get Barriss)
- Ahsoka corners/seriously wounds Barriss, Sidious emerges from the shadows (in person or hologram)
Sidious: Good Ahsoka good, good, good ... kill her ... kill her now
Ahsoka: (hesitates) I shouldn't
Sidious: DO IT
- Ahsoka blinded by anger kills Bariss, Palpatine takes Ahsoka as his new apprentice and activates order 66
(What would be a good Sith name for Ahsoka?)
What happens next, you decide?
