It is lovely to see that you are enjoying yourself and getting to just live. Vegas is a chaotic spectacle. Quite a wild choice. Maybe not the most relaxing place on earth but certainly full of life and variety. People go there to party and see shows and for gambling and sometimes family vacations. It is very much one of the strangest places in the country for better or worse. It’s not the kind of place that an introvert would go and not very easy on people who may be experiencing PTSD due to all the noise and lights and chaos, but pretty much every form of extroversion is celebrated there and if you like shows and lights and spectacle you’d be in the right place.

I was right that you were in Las Vegas. While Sin City can be a lot of fun, it is in no way a true representation of the rest of the U.S. It’s called the city that never sleeps because it is most-often a vacation destination for the casinos, shows and such. I don’t know what your remaining plans might be but hopefully you’ll get to see some of the spectacular natural beauty that we have to offer. You’re not too far from the Grand Canyon which is a sight to behold. You’ll probably continue heading west to California. Be sure to check out Highway 1 along the Pacific coast which is breathtakingly beautiful. If you have time, also worth exploring the mountains north of LA (Wrightwood is a really nice, quaint town that is vibrant every weekend). Or a little further into the mountains to Big Bear is also quite beautiful. I own two homes in Wrightwood and spend long holidays there when the heat gets too much here at home in Texas. There’s just so much to see in the U.S. that one visit is only enough to whet your interest to see more. Hope you were lucky at the casinos and wish you safe travels and fun on your continued journeys.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful message and the suggestions! :)Grand Canyon maybe next time. You're right, Las Vegas is definitely a world of its own, and it's been an interesting experience so far. I’ll do my best to make the most out of this trip.
I’ve developed those triggers from being in Ukraine too, I’m Here in Boston now but I’ll be going back again in October, I’m Here 2 1/2 months and in Kyiv 2 1/2 months since 2019

Awesome. What's your impression of the Vegas food. All the buffets. So much history in Vegas. The Rat pack, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley....enjoy enjoy and have fun.

@@Tanyafiona you’re very welcome. By the way, I’m Ukrainian too. I live in California. There are a lot of Ukrainians in Sacramento. I think there are well over 100,000.
Crickey your in a noisy city, probably not the best to find some peace from the war, though it sounds like your having fun exploring Los Angeles, your apartment looks like 5 star making Warsaw look like a 3,love the balcony and it's good your letting your hair down and enjoying yourself
I hope the culture shock doesn't overwhelm you. The best thing for that is actually sleep and stay in calm quiet places. Don't move around too much. The stress can be hard on anyone experiencing starkly different worlds. Of course, it gets better. I am sorry that many Americans are barely aware that there is a war going in Ukraine. For them, all the sounds are fun and excitement. It is unlikely they will realize what it must be like for you. Also, Las Vegas has always been a smokey place. Before marijuana was legalized, it was full of cigarette smoke. Now I guess it's both. That's the one part of Vegas I never liked. You saw the water show? Lots of other nice things? I recommend not gambling but enjoy the many shows and food and drinks. I suppose I am late in telling you all of this but remember for the next time you come to Vegas. And yes, we Americans like cold air conditioning. Sorry about that, too. I think if it was not a time of war, in Ukraine, you might have a lot more fun in Vegas. If you seek peaceful places, though, there are many better places. Personally, I like the forests and mountings of the Pacific Northwest (where I grew up) but also Montana. Yellow Stone National Park in Wyoming is very peaceful and majestic. The wild animals have no fear of humans and will walk right up and smell you because there has been no hunting allow for so long. I am in New York state near Syracuse now. We have so many waterfalls and great nature trials. The Thousand Island area is an amazing place to go camping and picnicking. Also, boating is fun. You can travel through various lakes and rivers and stop by places to eat or enjoy at guest docks all over. Palm Springs in California is more urban yet calm and beautiful. There is a hotel I like to visit where you can ride a boat through a river inside the hotel with drinks and it's a very magical place. Sedona, Arizona, is another calm and relaxing but astoundingly beautiful place. The valley and rock formations and colors are interesting. The people are mellow. You can meet someone and sit and drink and laugh and look at the stars together. It is a great place to look at the stars. Swimming in the springs in Florida is also really fun yet calm and relaxing. My favorite springs are Rainbow Springs (at an old abandoned amusement park) and Ichetucknee (where you can drift done a slow moving river through the forest and it's not very deep anywhere). Florida spring water is so mineral rich that your skin feels like a new born baby when you get out. Wrinkles go away. You can visit Orlando for Disney World, Universal Studio, etc. (I have been there far more times than I can count) but if you want calm and beautiful yet also unique and interesting then try the springs but also I recommend Sarasota and the Ringling Museum there. It is a circus museum (the Ringling circus) but also a museum of European and modern art and the waterside mansion of the original founders of the Ringling circus (largest traveling circus in the world). I also love the restaurant and coffee shop there. There is a secret forest there will statues of dwarves, too. Most people don't know its there. The Grand Canyon (widest canyon in the world) is boring but the Devils Canyon in Washington state (deepest canyon in the world) is interesting. Rainbow falls near there is also really great if you follow the path the leads to the top of the falls. Don't follow the path to the right but go left and eventually you will notice an informal trail down a steep hill. Follow that path. It's not official but the stone "rooms" with pools of water are amazing and the whole journey is well worth it. In my home state, the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier is great. The trees are taller and thick and forests are very open inside. The water in the streams is so clean and tastes great. I drank it all the time while growing up. The Olympic National Park is very wild but I could show you places where the moss hangs from the trees in thick green walls and covers the ground like carpet. It doesn't like a forest. It feels like you are in a castle of green carpets. It feels like rooms. It is soft and comfortable to lay down and sleep. The Puget Sound waters are very cold but teaming with life. There are beautiful Orcas, huge snails, and at night along the forested shores, there are luminescent microorganisms that create light when you move a paddle in the water gently. I know of a place far up a river near the old ghost town of Markham (first settlement near where I grew up) where long long ago, there were three large old growth trees fallen over the river. These old growth trees are as wide as houses. The ones fallen over the river make a bridge but now have trees growing on top of them. It truly looks like a fantasy land when you see it. But there are no roads there--only walking trails and mostly deer trails. Much of the Pacific Northwest is like that. For us, camping meant boats and hiking but no civilization or other people for weeks. We brought some food but mostly ate clams and fish and berries and other wild foods. My family builds yachts so I grew up with boats and sailing. I miss those days. I miss my family.
Wow Tanya! I used to go to Vegas every few years, you are about 3 hours from me by car! Welcome Tanya! Vegas is super expensive now and not such a good place anymore. For you though it is the ultimate get away. Don't mistake it for all of America though. It is very interesting to see things from your eyes Tanya! Not only interesting, but for those of us open enough, it is also helpful. Most importantly, you be careful and safe, Vegas is no place for a young woman to be running around by herself! Stay on the main strip, don't go near Fremont street! If you stay around the main things you will be fine. Yes, that is called a Buffet here. I'm so sorry for your experience at the movie! I totally understand. I wish someone had told you first. Also, don't pay much attention to our media while you are here, with one exception it is all state media and propaganda, not too different from Russia. Stick with your sources and especially your loved ones and those you know back home. (I don't watch our media either and do the same, I try to learn what is really happening from my acquaintances, friends and "adopted" family). I look forward to learning from you as well in your videos and our messages soon. How long are you in the US Tanya?
@@Tanyafiona Oh, okay, I will email you a little sooner then Tanya, that way you can reply back whenever you have the chance, that will be okay. I want to share more with you and learn more from you, that is not really for RUclips comments in a sense. I hope you will be staying in a nice area because things are going to get too crazy here as "elections" are getting close and there is a lot of scary things going on. (I stay out of all that myself, it is too much crazy). While those of us who live in the US don't know what it is like to have rockets raining down on us, some of us who bother to care about are fellow humans (in my case, sort of cousins) in Slavic countries and such can imagine it, but still don't really know exactly what it is like not having lived it. That is why this is such an incredible time for you right now as you need not worry about that for yourself for a time, but there are your loved ones and I understand that as you sense. I too have loved ones overseas I worry about.
When I was in Vegas 20 years ago a room like that would have been about $50, or less. Cheap. Is it still cheap? The place I stayed, the Old Binion's, $20 a night I think it was?, which is gone now I've heard, the AC was freezing so I opened up the vent with my handy manifold screw driver and stuffed a pillow in it. I found an awesome Thai restaurant run by a family of Thais off the strip. The food on the strip wasn't great, except for breakfast. Anyways I lost some $ on the floor and I made a little $ playing poker. Cheers, Tanya, I know your home and I hope things start moving in Ukraine towards real peace.

@@Tanyafiona I come back listen your vidéo. ✌️
I’ve developed those triggers from being in Ukraine too, I’m
Here in Boston now but I’ll be going back again in October, I’m
Here 2 1/2 months and in Kyiv 2 1/2 months since 2019
Why would anyone living a great life in the USA go to Ukraine especially during war when hundreds of thousands are still fleeing that country. Im from Ukraine btw but i grew up and live in the USA, il never go back to that forsaken country
Wow
Yes, once you experience the war you life would be as it was before

Don't be fooled by all the lights you see. There is a seedy side to Vegas. .😊
I was just in the center and liked it 🫶🏻🇺🇸
When I visited Kyiv, I took some photos of the nightlife and lights around the city center and my friends were saying that it looked like Las Vegas. 😄
I don’t the difference at all 🤣
Welcome to America. I hope your time here will give you many great, fun and memorable moments. Are you visiting Washington DC?
Thanks 🙏🏻 not this time
I hope the culture shock doesn't overwhelm you.
September for sure I’m in USA 🇺🇸
