Dr. T thank you for reacting Ethiopian music . Tariku Gankisi's song "Dishta Gina" carries a powerful message of love, peace and unity in the face of Ethiopia's ongoing political turmoil and warfare[2][3]. The song has gained immense popularity, reaching over 23 million views on RUclips[2]. Gankisi, a former soldier who witnessed the horrors of the Ethio-Eritrean war, uses his music to preach against violence and promote reconciliation[2][3]. "Dishta Gina" was born out of his life experiences and desire to convey a message of humanity[3]. The song's success has allowed Gankisi's message to spread across Africa[2]. It even caught the attention of Akon, who collaborated with Gankisi on a remix[2]. However, Gankisi faced controversy when he made a statement against war during a performance, urging the audience to give peace a chance[3]. Despite the backlash, Gankisi remains steadfast in his message of love and unity through his music[3]. "Dishta Gina" continues to spark important conversations and raise awareness about the need for peace in Ethiopia[2].
