I assume these displays will cost a small house 😂
Probably even more than that
And a kidney 😂
77" are almost affordable now after 10 years, not long now
😂😂😂😂😂😂
600000 for the Sony
Sony has always been the benchmark for quality video ❤
Beautiful Sony 💙
If money wasn't a issue...
I'd choose the Sony
Can't wait for micro-LEDs to become available and affordable for PC monitors! 🤤
Plasma tv to be monitor still better than micro-LED
@@lsg303🤡
@@lsg303 Why
That’s really great point!
I'm looking forward to when they're economically viable replacements for commercial theater projectors
35mm film is at least 12k.
@@Art-is-craftfeature films are not even worked on in 4k most of the time.
@@RobinGraham-wd3kf
35mm is of a much higher quality.
I want that enormous and magnificent Sony 220-inch Crystal LED Screen! But the Price is $606,466 USD 😂 SHEEESH! That's INSANE ~
This man nails the perfect loop.
I guess I'll have to buy a new home to house my new tv.
Sony. That image processing is only equaled by Panasonic’s high-end TVs. The Korean and Chinese manufacturers have always seemed a bit off when it comes to natural colors. It’s subjective, I know, but I’d always go for the Japanese brands.
Quality over quantity 🙌🏻 Sony
Sony better ofcourse...no point in haaving big screen if screen bad
i dont think the lg is just a screen, its several screens. i think sony is just using a larger screen. a huge factory cut. but what do i know
The perfect loop doesn’t exi….
I came here for this!
You just put the beginning of the video at the end. That’s It!
You're right. It doesn't. Looping shorts are stupid as hell
Apparently the controller for the sony crystal led only accept dual displayport 1.2 signal. This is quite specific for computer output, and might not work well with hdmi 2.1 sources (receivers, bd players, etc.)
Obviously we need to have both
SONY ❤️
The main use case for these is probably stadiums and concert venues where people are going to be several hundreds of feet away. I don’t see a problem with either, and I bet custom graphics (like scores and team logos) rendered at 8k would look insane on the LG
You wouldn’t need 8k at that distance so it will just look the sharpest your eyes can see
These are actually marketed for in home. I've been installing the Samsung Wall for years now, coming in at a price tag of $300k-2mil, depending on size and pitch, its a very niche product. But I can tell you first hand, you will not see a better picture anywhere for a long time.
Sony all the way.
I like my information at 273 are you in the 220 inch screen if possible
MicroLED is the future.
But currently... it's not quite on the level of mainstream high-end in terms of features, affordability and even size. I'm all for a 75 inch MicroLED... maybe 85 inch max, but that would be really pushing the limits of would still make for a good viewing experience in my living room.
The thing with MicroLED and LED walls is that it’s cheaper to produre at larger sizes because the pixel pitch is larger… so a 4K at 270” is cheaper than a 4K at 110”. But I assume for the home consumer/prosumer, companies like Samsung will overcharge for the size anyway
@@hanes2 Rather than it cheaper to produce for MicroLED, I think the tech simply isn't quite there yet to make 4K microLED into anything smaller. That being said, MiniLED still has some ways to go to be practically indistuingishable from OLED. But OLED isn't an option for me at all. I like to use my TV with high-brightness, use it a lot and use it as a monitor. I would destroy any OLED in less than 3 years with my viewing behaviour and that's pretty much the best case scenario. Most likely I'd have permanent burn-in after 1.5 to 2 years. And nope, I'm not willing to adjust my viewing behaviour just for marginally better image quality.
@@thenonexistingherobro, newer oled tvs are not as prone to burn in
@@berryblade1305 They are still very much prone to burn in when you use a TV the way I use it and as much as I use it. I'm not saying that most people will experience burn in from OLED, I am saying that there's no such thing as an OLED that won't burn in long before the 7+ years I expect a TV to last for me. I know how I use a TV and I know that buying an OLED for myself is a stupid waste of money.
Wow i bet it looks incredible in person 😍😍
Sony
The SONY is clearly superior. The very FACT that LG has to prevent people from getting too close just says it all 🤣🤣🤣🤣
LG has a huge oled operation and have been a huge supplier of many companies including sony. LG's factories are built for yielding OLED's they are just getting into the micro led game.
You're doing a great job with those loops!
As for the TV, I think 8K is totally useless, even at large screen sizes like that, because you'd have to stand quite far away from the screen for it to be a comfortable viewing distance, and at that distance you aren't even going to be seeing a full 4K worth of detail.
For a 220" screen, you'd need to be closer than 15 feet away to see more than 4K worth of detail, and be honest, who is going to be sitting that close to a screen that large?
(not to mention the lack of content)
Good point. Maybe 4K is the sweet spot between too much unnecessary data and too little detail.
A lot of the calculations used to determine stuff like this have been shown to be flawed. Humans can often tell the difference between resolutions in situations where the calculations suggest they shouldn't be able to. So it's very possible that 8K will improve perceptual picture quality even if it seems like it shouldn't. That said, it could be argued that the difference isn't enough to be worth the extra costs.
@@d_dave7200 That may be true, but we are probably a solid 8 years away from the Internet infrastructure and microLED pixel density necessary to make 8K mainstream. Not that I'm complaining, I'm looking forward to it. But in the meantime 4K is great.
@@d_dave7200 the calculations are based on the rock solid science behind the resolving power of lenses. The type of science that goes into developing telescopes, for example.
There are other factors that go along with higher resolutions, like higher bitrate, better chroma sampling, and better cameras tend to go along with those formats as well, so there are other reasons people might notice a difference, but there's also the placebo effect, which is what it usually is.
@@AndyGilleand I'm an astrophysicist by education, and amateur photographer -- trust me, I understand the science. The issue is that the human eye is NOT remotely a lens. It's very different.
In some ways the eye on paper would be a terrible lens, in other ways it's be the best in existence. It's essentially an incredibly dynamic lens, with logarithmic sensors, and all kinds of advanced computational photography (adaptive optics) in the brain. The brain is constantly processing the image in real time, and making up for the limitations of the eye and far surpassing anything you could calculate on paper. Any comparison that relies on concepts from regular photography will lead to incorrect results. Additionally the ability of the eye to resolve depends on the person, the age of the person, the particular day, how close to a sphere the person's eye is after years of use, their general health on that day etc. etc. Heck it may even depend on the arrangement of neurons in your particular brain, and how much practice you've had resolving challenging images, though this is unproven speculation. We do know that people's eyesight varies quite significantly.
The only way to reliably figure out what people can resolve is to do randomized controlled trials with tests that involve people sitting in front of various screens. In the lower quality testing we have access to, it pretty consistently leads to far greater results than calculations would predict, though again the results vary between participants.
This is a masterful loop brah 👍
Sony has always been the best at what they do !
Lg
8k is going to both make it more expensive and difficult to manufacture. Considering 8k is pointless and pretty dead right now, it's better walk before you can run - especially considering the pixel pitch is the biggest issue processes are facing right now. Personally, I just want them to ramp up production effectivley as possible to at least get closer to having a consumer grade microLED TV that is miniaturised and more reasonably priced than a whole wall that costs as much as a house. It will he a while until that happens, but 8k is the setback this tech just doesn't need right now.
8K is not pointless at these sizes. Pixels are huge.
@DM-rc4yu they are pointless if you consider that people will be interested when the sizes are reasonable along with the price, not a 100" screen. I'd also imagine that at sizes such as this, you'd be sitting at a decent distance to fully appreciate the image. That's like holding a 6.8" phone screen an inch away from your face. Regardless, the 8k format is pretty dead right now and hasn't taken off.
Choosing between these two for quest toilet
That LG screen is a million dollars on Amazon.
Sony 🔥🔥
Im putting owning one of these on the bucket list for my next life
Sony is the king when it comes to screens and longevity..
sony hasn't always manufactured displays, they only recently started up again
@@possiblyinsane6995 Sony manufacturers displays since I knew myself and even before.. look at behind the scenes of old movies you'll find they use Sony screens and the still do to these days.. that's mean movie directors know that best images can be displayed on Sony screens..

@@user-lo9fi3up2b if you think sony is more advanced than lg or samsung at manufacturing displays you are on one my boy
Well, one of these is going in my bathroom
Bro…the size of your f ing bathroom wth?
SONY 👑👑👑👑👑
"A toja todi inch crista eledi from sony" all I heard in the start. 😂
Thank you for the subtitles and interesting video btw
It should be criminal for TVs that big to only be 4k, you're definitely gonna see pixels at that size, it needs to be 8k minimum with upscaling technology for non 8k content
I'd easily pick those over a projector for a home theater if they had 3d support
I assume this technology will eventually replace all projector in the cinema
Sony hands down. 😎👍
Did you manage to get a tour of Samsung's booth at ISE? I know you had to reserve booth tours and it was booked out when I tried
"which one is better?"
me : The TV that has the lowest impact on my electric bill wins my vote."
deffinitely not those microLED then.
How the hell do you get that thing through a door? Make it rollable like the LG R-series oled? It’s still going to be extremely wide.
They’re separate modules that connect together, it’s built in pieces.
Yeah, considering the 110in Samsung is $150k These have to be Half a Mil. I mean the smaller Sony is FOUR of the Samsung TV's in Screen Size
Vincent could you please do a video for the colour settings within Nvidia Control Panel for the LG OLEDS please?
sheeple, ngreedia card and lack of understanding of settings xD
Perfect combo lmao
@John Smith I understand it perfectly but I've seen a lot of people asking.
It's a shame you have such a low paying job as the 4090 is great.
Hello thank you.i love Sony.
Lets just be honest here, there is no chance these modular, matte MicroLED screens have pristine picture quality. You only get that with a clear, glossy screen.
more of this please! especially the virtual production demo
The Netflix TV series 1899 is filmed with a big screen like the Sony setup.
Hi ! I just came across your video! I have a Samsung UE55TU8005 TV when I'm at 15 notches, I can still see the sun well! I enabled HGiG, but I couldn't find any options for tone mapping. The maximum click I can do is 30, and the sun disappears at about 25 clicks. What should I do I'm lost.
I thank you in advance ! ☺️
I bought both to compare them. In short: If you use it as a TV, LG is better. If you use it as a PC Monitor, I recommend the Sony.
All of a sudden my brand new LG C3 77” isn’t so great. 😔 lol
why even bother with 8k? There have been tests done and the difference between 4k and 8k is negligible from normal sitting positions and just looks like you turned AA 4x on. There's also no real support for 8k and 4k doesn't have much support in of itself beyond a few movies and gaming
Can't wait to get mine in my next life.
Neither. Need a 460” for my media room. It’s pointless to upgrade, then upgrade again six months later.
From floor to ceiling, Just like in the 1990 movie Total Recall
I’m reminded of two quotes
“New Ferrari Coupe cost a Picasso”
And “Hypnotoad is brought to you by the MagnaPhallix 302” TV! It’s bigger!”
for average home use? nah Sony with crystal panels will be more suitable.
for commercial huge monitor display (theather, stadium, etc) mico-LED is more suitable.
I honestly think that MicroLED is a competition to the current LedGridPanel used for those such big giant bilboard. that is now using Led with the grid the size of p2.5, p4, p5 etc. microLED is alot similar to those but with higher density of LED Array.
Wow new screen in cinema will be next dimension 🎉
The better one is whichever fits in my car
Sony obviously. Immersion braking tiles on lg is a big no no
Breaking.
NOT braking.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M But what if the tiles are just slowing down real fast while being immersed in liquid?
Sony is my favorite brand, but out of these two choices, obviously I’m gonna take the bigger one. That’s also 8K as opposed to 4K. This is a no brainer.
I wonder who would want such a big tv
The question is where are you going to put it when you bring it home😢
I just bought a 27 in micro LED 4k monitor 😃
Bought Sony flagship 85”. Tv
Over a year of research & fear of missing out, finally paid so much $. Lasted 3 months. Cracked screen.
My fault. Mistake.
Still sitting there almost 2 years later.
Still pissed off. Some fukn bs.
Does it matter? 99.5% of people can’t afford either
so does this mean its like oled without the burn in issues?
Hey. Auto setup wirht sony ps5 and tv works perfect idk what you talking about. mak enew video?
Both. They are both better.
can I trade-in my kidney to that display?😂
I'm going to buy one of each.
I sense bias towards LG while both of them are great. The LG is quite bigger in size by 50 in if I'm correct. So not a very fair comparison. And who's going to stand that close to a giant screen TV? You should be standing for the back.
Sony is as always good
Sony incredible
Bro 4k isn’t enough at that size. All normal size stuff like I’d say even up to 65-75inch 4k is enough at that size 8k is just enough
We the public want you to tell us which one is better
i guarantee that screen isnt covered by warranty. who eats the cost when you get it on the wall and decide wow i really dont need an actual theater in my house and decide tonreturn it lol
Just give us an affordable 120display micro led or oled. No need for anything bigger than 120 for most house lol
Says who ???
If there was a barrier to stop people getting close to the lg then that shows the Sony one is better
I mean in this comparison it's easy lol
SONY 👍👍
LG put barriers for its peeks😂
I'll pick the Sony
Bruh 4k in that size is like pixilated
Which one is better? LG is much more expensive even compared to Samsung the Wall
272" Micro led, must be about 500,000 dollars. Very necessary.
What a Cinema... ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
How do i get it in the house?
Sony wins this round. It would have been very cool to 220" tv. It must cost a fortune.
600,000$
Do they have game mode?
I have to say the Sony looked best right off the bat, and I'm typically an LG fan. Good job, Sony.
В гараж поставлю этот телек, будет норм.👍
Sony looks nice
Sony forever
The one that I think it’s perfect is the one I can afford lol
so finally these tv's can be called "native" LED screens! 😂
Sony ❤️
Impressive! However, for actual use in the home I'm much more interested in the smaller (and less expensive) MicroLED TVs that Samsung is developing, such as the 89" display they exhibited at this show.
Best micro led crystal led and oled
Sony 🙌🏼
