  • In this video we unbox a 1 kg Ventura-Melts Electric Melting Furnace in 230V. Upgrading from a gas torch and a crucible to the furnace to melt metals and make things like jewellery. I finish by turning it on and testing it out by melting down some sterling silver.
    THANKS FOR WATCHING!

    Hey! Great video.
Can you take the crucible out when pouring? (with tongs)
Also, how long did it take to get to temperature?
Also, how many grams fit in the crucible?
I’m thinking of melting down some gold and silver into cast bars for a bit of fun!
    Thanks 😊

Hey thanks very much! This furnace is made to pour like a kettle so no tongs. Takes about 20 minutes to heat up, I need to time it properly though. This is the 1kg model can get a model 3kgs too. Hope that helped Thanks again 😊
