If you catch it just right, you can catch a limit of giants. I need a new scale because ours broke. We’ve caught 7 or 8 that were 16” on that lake but I don’t have the weights on them.
It’s definitely a beautiful lake! It can be a tough lake to fish but luckily it’s our local lake and we can be patient finding them. Thanks for watching and good luck on the crappie!
Nice crappie. I'm hoping as this spawn moves in my fiancé and I will get into a few good ones. We Subscribed. We need all the knowledge we can get on these evasive Arkansas crappie lol. We are in kayaks so we cant get to all the places but try.
In a kayak I’d fish shallow lakes. Conway, Millwood (alligators so be mindful), horseshoe….fish the trees and brush. Choose jigs according to water clarity. Clear to slightly stained I’d use more natural colors or something in the blue or green pallet. Muddy or heavy stained I’d use dark or bright colors like black and chartreuse, purple, orange etc. Pink is a good all around color choice
ruclips.net/video/uqhaocE6QnA/видео.html Check out this video. They are fishing Conway and this is the best technique for shallow water lakes with trees. You can be pretty quiet in a kayak so you shouldn’t have to have a super long pole, just what you have. Just jig for them, no casting needed
I never fished Lake Degray, but would like to try. It’s such a big lake. Do you have any suggestions? I checked it out on google earth. Is that brushy creek area any good?
Yea it’s a challenging lake. Brushy is a great area as well as Shouse Ford or areas towards the river. My advice is fish grass and structure. Because it’s deep in a lot of areas, finding shad schools is always a good way to find feeding fish. Be patient out there and you can find a pattern.
@@SteveBigPop I don’t live far from Greeson and in the 40 or so years I’ve lived in the area I’ve never fished Greeson. We’ve taken a couple boat rides with family and hunted around it but have never wet a line. Probably get on it this year….maybe lol
keep up the good content 👍
I’m trying to make it better. Thanks for the support

Some really nice slab crappies! I've never caught a 16"r, so that's awesome!! 👍👍
Thanks! We’ve caught 18” in shallow water reservoir east of us
I have never tried trolling for them, but I will :)
It’s a good relaxing way to catch open water, scatter crappie or to locate them to cast or jig
Beautiful spot to fish and the crappie were biting. Hoping to make a few crappie videos my self next week in Northern Indiana. Great job!

Dang good day!!!
It was! Wife’s first trip out with me this year so we didn’t video a lot, just turned on camera when we got one on if I remembered

I appreciate that. I am going to give it a try. Thank you!!!
Good luck
Holy cow those the biggest crappie I've seen in a long time, makes me want to go fishing if it ever warms up here in NW Missouri.
And if I could video half way decent it be better lol
@@RaisedOutdoors I thought it was great, almost from your eyes. Try videoing goat kids playing, they never do it if I have the camera 😆
What lake. Time of year?
