I've been wanting to buy a LotR sword for a long time... Looks like I'll be spending a bit extra to get a carbon steel copy of an official, licensed stainless blade. I'd love a licensed sword, but I want a blade that I can actually play with.
Yes, it's worth getting the official united cutlery versions. So much better!
@@VoiceoftheRings Wait, United Cutlerly swords are cheap stainless steel... worth getting them for their authenticity over a carbon forged blade that's maybe not as exact a copy as the set piece, but better steel...? 🤔 again, I want a sword I can play around with from time to time... NOT just a wall ornament.
Better Anduril replica comes out next year with 1060 carbon steel. Looks so nice.
Darksword armoury sells a functional.versiom the UC version is not good. Furthermore the sword is very badly balanced due to be blade heavy. The Darksword version adjusts the sword
The new one will have a carbon steel blade but will NOT have a full tang.

This may be a dumb question, but is it possible to sharpen the edges? Or would that ruin the sword?
I think that's a good question! My guess, it might be possible, I believe the blade is like a stainless steel of some kind. There is a chance your going to ruin It though, so I would check with a blade professional or something before trying it. 😉

I was going to order this one, I had a question about the blade however. Is the blade pretty sturdy? I know it's stainless steel, and stainless steel swords can possibly have a cheap flimsy feeling to them.
It is very sturdy. It dose have a little give. But it's normal sword level. This is no cheap thing you buy at the vendor at a toy shop that flops around like a noodle. It's very real looking and feel and heavy with very little "wiggle" just normal sword level (actually fighting swords have a little give so they don't break) through history. Hope that helps!

Great vid! What is the measurement of thickness for the sword??
Good question. This is rough measurement. 40 inches blade. 12 inches Handel. 11 inches crossgaued. So all together 52 inches long. The thicknesses of the blade is normal 1/8 to 1/16 inches ish... haha hard to get that one perfect. But the blade is very nice a small bit of give but feels very nice and real. Not a cheap thing you buy for 20$. This thing is awesome! Not sure it's designed to be battled with. It's a wall sword. But swinging it around feels amazing and real. The weight balancing is very nice to. A little heavy, but honestly pretty well made in that too.
Where did you get the sword stand for this beauty?
I just bought it on Amazon, "type in Japanese sword stand or mount" they have a few options. They are pretty cheap price.

Hi there just a quick question that I hope you can answer will the Scabbard fit on the sword with them both on the wall plaque that comes with Anduril if possible could you please do a video of it so I know thanks as I can seem to find any videos anywhere 😅
For mine it did!!! You have to be kind of careful when you put it on because it does press in the leather right underneath the edge of the scabbard end. But it also works because the scabbard doesn't slide off when you hang the sword. You can obviously drill your own hole into the original sword stand slightly moving the hangers if you wanted to. But mine worked just fine as is. So to answer your question yes it does work. Hopefully that helps!

I almost forgot to ask will the Scabbard of Anduril fit on the Sword of Narsil as I have both Swords and I would like two Scabbards matching for both Swords can you please let me know all the best

I just got that on Amazon! Look up sword stands for desk, or Japanese style ones. Should come up with something like that.

Use the code UC1380 and search for the name with united cutlery. They sell it on Amazon at time of this post. In USA at least. Or you can Google and see. But make sure it comes with the certificate of authenticity etc.
Is there a good place to get this for an affordable price? This is my favorite sword but prices are kinda crazy. Great video though! I enjoy these reviews.

Where can I buy the sword?
United Cutlery UC1267 Narsil King Elendil Sword a.co/d/1EEZ6PZ Amazon has it alot. Just make sure it's the real numbered one. You can also go to united UnitedCutlery.com but they don't always have it themselves anymore. Just make sure it has a certificate of authenticity and is the right number.
it comes wtih simple plain box?
yes! It comes with a framed styrofoam and a cover with a nice picture of it that pushes off the end.
What is the difference between this and the Elessar one?
Elessar is this one, Anduril. The strider sword is his "ranger" version. Aragorn and Elessar and strider are three names for the same person in the lore. Hopefully that helps. There are two swords. One is Anduril this one in video. Then his other one is his normal old sword from being a ranger that has a green handle and no words on the blade.
@@VoiceoftheRings yeah, I know he was called by all 3 names, but I heard there are 2 Andurils. One labeled Anduril the sword of king Elessar and one labeled like yours. So those 2 are the same thing, just called differently?

Yes, I know that there is a Narsil replica too, but that is not what I was asking.
@@Rafael-qd3yq I believe they are same. Unless united cutlery made a different version number. For that I would make sure to use the UC1380 as a reference to double check. But I believe that yes it's the same thing. I do know they have a version that is "the shards of narsil" the sword literally broken too.

how much did you get it?
I got this one many years ago, it could be they did a remake of it and gave it new number. I would have to look it up to be sure though
