- The United States announced in September 2020 that a prototype for the Next Generation Air Dominance program had been designed and tested. Similarly, at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan revealed a new concept model for their sixth-generation fighter aircraft under the Global Combat Air Programme. Let's compare these two advanced sixth-generation fighter projects.

GCAPは従来のドッグファイトをしない肯定でデルタ翼に変更され、
曲技飛行には不向きな形状にしたみたいですが、
個人的意見としてそれは良くないと思いました。
何故なら敵側もその第6世代を作っており初めは遠距離でも
最終的に近距離戦になると思います。
無人機やミサイルのコストは高いです。
戦争が長期になればドッグファイトになる可能性が高いと思います。
なのでGCAPは曲技飛行も出来るデザインにするべきだと思います。
Modern air combat is 99% BVR and radar missile fights at long ranges keeping enemies away and sneak SEAD infiltrations which involve hit and run a target in enemy lines. Dogfighting is too expensive for both sides and actively avoided. Drones are FAR cheaper than a manned aircraft.
ドッグファイトなんてまず発生しない 今どき遠距離からミサイル投げ合うのがほとんど 戦争が長引いてミサイル無くなったら空戦に関しては負け 相手のミサイル避けつつ接近して機関砲で落とすなんて不可能 ゲームじゃないんだから ステルス機が増えていって目視距離まで気が付かない説もあるけどこの先は無人機を先行させる方向になるからそういうのも起こりづらくなる それにコストが一番かかるのはパイロット 育成に膨大な時間と金がかかる それに比べたら無人機もミサイルも安い

Unless you export these to lots of countries like the F35 the costs per plane are going to be staggering.......
People keep saying "should exceed the capabilities of the F22!!" as if that's an amazing thing....lol

I agree but I also think this is the first time that an x plane has been developed with todays amount of info available online so they are probably being extra careful in this stage of development so as not to leak the design and even when they decide on a winner to the program it may still not be seen for quite some time until it absolutely has to be revealed to the public so even if it’s a lot further along in development than they lead on about it will still not be known to the public for quite some time
