As always, I enjoyed your non-scripted video - it is the real deal. Learning more about your mustang, Chavez, is of particular interest to me - I understand enough about the mustang's natural personality and watching how you address it in your daily work will be beneficial. I hope you, your family and your crew have a very special Merry Christmas.
Love you videos. Every time I watch I can’t help but think of the Hole in the Rock pioneers crossing that country. So cool that you guys get to work and play in such rugged, beautiful country.
Texas flat is a beautiful area to lose cattle in. Should be nice to go through it again. Enjoyed your mustang review. I do know they work great in search and rescue groups. And a couple groups train them to scent. Yep, I said scent. Mustang noses are great at tracking. They have so many great things they bring to the table. Like Arabians, they are different but awesome ❤. Once they trust you, it's a great bond. Looking forward to Chavez's education ❤.
Thanks for another fun video. The time and energy that is required to consistently put out fun and worthwhile videos is greatly appreciated. It always takes me back to much younger and much better days. Blessings of the season to you and yours. Keep Smiling and Stay Grateful
Great video. The views are amazing . It’s awesome that you saved that mustang. You take me back to the old days of cowboying. Tuff cowboys and animals. Keep up the great videos and of all things be safe.
I very much enjoy watching your videos. Love the country you are able to run cows on. We have to spend to much time in a tractor feeding in Alberta. Good luck with your mustang and the rest of the gather.
As keen and cold, as it must be there in the Colorado Highlands, I think the winter views are even more spectacular than the summer views. So stark almost otherworldly. Wise Horseman‘s words about the Mustangs. You have to use your brains when you work with all livestock, but they are a little different than domestically raised horses. Really enjoyed the ride. Thanks for taking us along.
We are from the South (which is the East to you in the West) and enjoy watching your weekly ranching routines. We love the scenery and especially the Indian cliffdwelings and artifacts. Keep up the good work. May the Lord Jesus continue to bless y'all and keep you safe.
Another great video. Chavez looks like he was a good buy. Like you said keep an eye out for his behavior and I wish you the best. Watch out for those pinned ears.
I'm from Illinois, enjoy your videos. Was raised on a farm. I have acreage that my brother and brother-in-law have cattle on. Being 75, my wife who grew up in the city didn't want have livestock anymore, so I sold what I had this past summer. But I thoroughly enjoy every one of your videos. Have very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year
Really enjoy your videos. I owned a restaurant in Cortez for over 25 years. When the mountains got snowed in we headed to Utah. Spent a lot of time riding our horses where you have your permit. I live in AZ now. Your videos make me homesick!
You have such a beautiful area. It is a delight to watch your videos. I also must say that you have some really nice-looking horses with some tough feet to walk on those rims. Nothing makes a good horse more than wet saddle blankets and you have no shortage of those!
I love watching your videos. I’m glad to see that Chavez has found a home with you. Glad to see that he is going to have a chance to have the best life and a purpose in this world.
A great little mustang . Chavez learning the cowboyin way. Another great video. Horses, cows and terrific scenery. Love seeing the musters and grinning , knowing you have to come back and do it all again . Thank you for sharing!;
love your videos iam from tennessee and it sure is a lot different raising cattle here than where you are. I like the way you explain every thing about how you operate and about your horses. may God bless you and your friends and family .
I found your channel a few months ago and binge watched episodes til I caught up to the latest ones. You have definitely come a long way since your first one and I love every one of them, looking forward to every new one! Thanks for taking me along on the journey with you! Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with many blessings!
It always amazes me to see the condition on those cattle out there in the desert, especially at this time of the year. From here in east TN. where we run on tall rescue pastures, you guy's pasture looks a lot different! I really enjoy your videos.
Loved the SPECTACULAR opening view .OMG gorgeous. Saw it later also but so beautiful up there. I must tell you Shawn and the 1880 Drifters. Being homebound I live vicariously through your video post. Yours and others similar. But your videos put me down close. I believe you will win the trust of Chavez Shawn it’s gonna take a little bit longer with a Mustang. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎁 AND HAPPY NEW YEARS…..
That wind was viscous, hopefully you have some of those heated coats or vests. They work quite well. Beautiful scenery as always. Wise comments about the mustang, but it is good to see what a great worker he is under saddle. Maybe more time, he will understand that you all are some of the good guys and gals. :)
Hi Shawn, another great video, those views of the canyon are stunning, thanks as always for sharing. I appreciate you telling us about your approach to the horses, and Chavez..good to see Trayson riding him..and always fun to Jayden’s big smile, have a good week! I’d love to win some merch❤

Well cowboys I look at your video every week I have not been feeling good great job boys Be safe be careful and God bless you and your family your friend Billy
That canyon reminds me of the Klickitat Rver canyon (and Dead canyon off of the Klickitst) in Southern Washington State. Beautiful country, both of them.
Really enjoy watching you guys each week. Look forward to it each Sunday afternoon. You are pretty dedicated especially in the colder months. But that's what cowboying is. Totally love it. 😊
Really enjoy the West and anything to do with cowboys, horses & cows . Grew up on an eastern farm when horses were used. Dates me 😊. Loved this video 👍👏👏👏👏
Wow amazing country. Those cliffs are so beautiful. You make really hard work look like fun to us sitting in front of the computer. May you be blessed for your dedication love of the land.
Love your videos my wife grew up on a ranch she gets teary eyed sometimes remembering those times. My father-in- law had 200 head of draft horses that the family trained and sold litterly all over the country even imported and exported some to England. He also had appaloosa horses for awhile, plus his 70 head dairy and 250 pair of Hereford beef cattle. The family together "adopted" about 100 blm mustangs, we still have 3 here on our place love them each one has a different personality. Could tell lots of stories for hours. My father-in-law grew up ranching in Tooele, Utah.
My experience with horses like him is extra attention nice and easy. I would haul my new horses everywhere when I had to go somewhere. Take him to Walmart, to the grocery store, to Feed store, etc. I would ride then every chance I got. Hours ND hours and miles and miles trying to bullet proof them. Make noises, throw rope, drag a railroad tie around. I worked lots if cows on the., open gates, close gates. Spend lots of time and do everything you can think of on them.
Really enjoy your videos. My grandpa was a rancher. He died when I was young but I remember stories of him bringing longhorns up from Texas. I imagine his life was a lot like your videos.
Love your videos! I have always had a tried & true love of the QH but there is something about Mustangs that just intrigues me! Thank you for the extra work that you guys put in to share your lives with us. God Bless the 1880 Drifters crew✝️
