How does this sluice work with unclassified materials?
Like not crazy chunky but say under 1.5"
Or does it prefer 1/2" minus ?

This sluice is best used as a dual purpose unit. Both a river sluice "and" a concentrate clean-up sluice, with a garden hose type sprayer used on the round banjo classifier screen. My suggestion is to put small leveling support legs on that sluice along with a spray bar over the round classifier screen so it can be used as a (recirculating) concentrate clean-up unit also.
