DETAILS:
LAFD responded to a two car crash in the intersection of Normandie & King
While firefighters were en-route to the crash it was upgraded to a physical rescue
Firefighters arrived and located a two car crash with two people trapped in a white BMW
Crews began cutting the two from the BMW however they were beyond medical help & declared them deceased
The driver of the Jeep is believed to have fled the crash on foot
LAPD South Traffic is handling the investigation
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time

Any bmw? Or just that one? They don’t do that well in side impacts. About average for the class. Particular this generation. For best results you want to be in an suv or truck, especially vs another suv or truck. Cars low to the ground take all forces up high where there’s much less strength. That jeep basically over rode the lower sill section of the bmw (completely bypassed it) and folded the side b pillar directly in.
The next step up in side impact safety is electric vehicles. Nothing can match them.
The newer models are built cheap, thats why they put air bags all around you.

Throughout the years a lot of us have driven through this exact location. Ask God for forgiveness and get close to God. This is too sad. My condolences to the family and friends of these individuals.
And this is a good relationship salvation statement right there. My advice is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There may only be 1 path to heaven, but we all think differently. So whatever words you may ask, to have Jesus Let you into Heaven, you will look at the world differently, and get closer to Jesus. Amen!

My exact thoughts! They are extremely safe vehicles. This goes to show that the driver in the Jeep was driving at an insane rate of speed. This is terrible.

Funny thing is, the Jeep did terrible on the IIHS tests and ppl were mocking Jeep because of this calling them unsafe.
This proves otherwise, ppl are too quick to play the blame game.

Well you wouldn't want to be in the wrangler if it was in place of the BMW since the wrangler doesn't even have side airbags. You would be double dead if a wrangler was the one that was hit on the side by another wrangler. And who knows what would've happened if the BMW was the one going 80 MPH and hit the wrangler broadside.
