@@wayofthewrench Absolutely! The best part about this "from ground zero approach" is that everyone is going to pick their own starting point for each section of the build. If someone is not the best at cabinetry, they might buy a kit and start there. Some will do their own computer upgrades and make it there own. The important thing is that no matter how far back they start in the process, this series has them covered. Thank you very much for this video. I've managed to draw me a custom cabinet for a 40" Playfield, a Pixelcade RealDMD, a 24"NEC monitor for the backglass and a 14,9" Topper from VSDisplay. Thanks, glad you liked the video. I can't say why others position their monitors but I am placing mine at a lower angle than the glass so it looks more like an original pinball. Original pinball play fields are set down from the glass. I think that if you place the monitor right at the glass, they look a bit fake or more like a video game. My only concern is if there will be issues with glare/reflections from the play field monitor or the LED lighting that I'm going to place by the sides and at the back. I'll just have to wait and see once I get it installed and glass in. Cheers!

I'm trying to but I'm running into some problems Finding A PCMainly a graphic cardI do got something kind of builtTo let me know That this is what I want I got the at games legends proWith the pinball set up with my TV set in sidewaysBut as soon as I find that graphic card no hold me back I've been watching videos for a good year now
Ya know what I did was just search on Facebook marketplace/Craigslist and put out on your social media if anyone has a old computer or video card that they could donate to your project. I ended up getting 2 computer and three video cards for free. I ended up making 2 fully working vpin cab pcs that can totally run vpx and future pinball. I only had to spend $50 dollars each for brand new 500G ssd drives. Good luck!
Really? that's too bad. At least it is a smaller full dmd screen so it won't matter too much. Mind you I'm sure a 19" 1080p screen can be easily found. Good luck!
I really like your VPin videos, noone does it better. I just found out about VPins a week ago and and already ordered the first part for my own VPin, a sony 43" 4K 120hz TV. I just dont like the way you installed the tv into the cabinet. Your tv is at the Top 4-6 inches deeper than at the Bottom. That might increase the 3D effect for some ppl, but for me it is kinda irritating. Never mind. It's a question of taste i guess. I will follow your videos very carefully but change that part and align the TV screen evenly to the cabinet inclination. KInd regards from spain🤗🌴
Thanks, glad you like the content and my teaching style! That's the best thing about vpins, you can build whatever you want to suit your parts or taste. I went with the lowered look because I wanted a led matrix at the back. I absolutely love the look of mine and wouldn't change it at all. It's hard to tell in videos but it truly looks awesome. Thanks for the watch and welcome to the channel! Good luck on your build and enjoy the series!.
So how is it that we take into account the 40-50 relays, score motor and the 700 reed switches into the cabinet? lol. I mean thats important, and its not a pinball machine without them. Seriously tho. I would love to make a virtual pinball machine in a full sized box, primarily;y because I really would mount a whole bunch of relays, motors, thumpers and chimes, they would not actually control the game, but if for no other reason than they make background noise, Then have them controlled by the virtual game software. I would feel better knowing they are there.
If you keep watching, you'll see how I add all of the ssf and mechanical toys to simulate all of the real pinball parts. It's pretty crazy how much the ssf makes it sound and feel real. Thanks for the watch!
Make little mini cabinets eh? LOL, that would be cool. I might give out stl files of all my projects in the future, maybe as a Patreon or something like that. In the mean time, the dimension are free so anyone can learn how to make my design using this video and Sketchup. Thanks for the watch!

Good luck!
Any way we can get those plans in STL or gcode?
At this moment it is not shared anywhere but maybe in the future. Stay tuned!
@@wayofthewrench ok I can recreate it in vectric, but hoped you could save me some time. But thanks anyways
Can I ask what monitor was used as DMD? The shape and dimensions do not match the 1908fpt.
It's just a free 19" LCD computer monitor. Should be 1080p probably 60 Hz. Thanks for the watch!
@@wayofthewrench Good. I found Your monitor model, it is 1913t. Resolution 1440x900. Unfortunately it's not 1080p.
Really? that's too bad. At least it is a smaller full dmd screen so it won't matter too much. Mind you I'm sure a 19" 1080p screen can be easily found. Good luck!
Sitting here watching the video and realizing that's the Deadpool DMD video I made and posted! :)
Lol, really? That's cool! Thanks for making the DMD pic and the watch! Cheers!
Thanks for the watch!
can you share the files for pc
Which files?
Dxf file?
Nope sorry bud....pdf of the dimensions only. Cheers!
Bro! 0C??
ok, I'll bite. What's 0C?
@@wayofthewrench in the taskbar of your computer, the weather app was reporting a cold day for sure!
Ahh that's what you meant. Yeah Im in Vancouver Canada eh so it was a bit cold.....it gets way colder in Canada but not so much here. Cheers Eric!
Ever used a curved monitor?
No I haven't Mark, the curved monitor breaks the illusion that it isn't real pinball. It might be worth a try but I haven't yet. Thanks for the watch!
you should sell a stl file to people sp they can 3d print it...lol
Make little mini cabinets eh? LOL, that would be cool. I might give out stl files of all my projects in the future, maybe as a Patreon or something like that. In the mean time, the dimension are free so anyone can learn how to make my design using this video and Sketchup. Thanks for the watch!
i would buy.....thanks
