RIP Andy, thanks so much for all the kind words & generous advice over the years.
I've wanted this software for some time now but afterall trying to incorporate Andy's sound puts me in a journey, I think I'm halfway there.
You gotta love Andy's character. He's engineered and/or produced the best rock records ever. Period. Yet he's so humble and wary of telling the viewer "this is the best way". Jack Joseph Puig could learn a thing or two from him.
This might be a short master class for many a recording professional!
Gahdammit I love youtube so much!
Bless -and bliss- Andy Johns forever and ever.
I know this guy is big...but why does he speak like he is going to barf up his lunch at any moment!
For those who have so much ego to be stupid enough to publicly announce that they would not let one of the worlds best engineer/producers help them record a great drum sound, have proven why there are players who are true professionals and those who will never make a career out of what they do. Andy is a pro and would not suggest something that would not be appropriate to the style of music being recorded.
what a badass.
I heard Bonham would threaten anyone who tried to muffle his drums, I agree, my bass has an aquarian superkick 1 on it and nothing inside, it sounds great.
RIP Andy, I saw him @ the Namm Show a couple years back, & he was looking pretty ill then....
Great bit here. Andy is clearly the man. Pro all the way.
Looks like the levee has broken brother, RIP and thanks.
I agree with everything he is saying. Love you Andy. RIP Andy.
Damn his indigestion is pretty noticeable here, unless he just had a meal. Could it be the ulcer bugging him already?
These are our mentors people. Watch and listen.
andy! how the hell are you? miss ya man
is he wearing a onesie?
Sup andy
Nice beard!!
RIP Andy
RIP
He would have been fun to hang out with.
he was extremely fun to hang with
John Bonham was a great drummer. Too bad he was a mean, fat, drunken woman-beating psychotic alcoholic. Great drummer, though.
