By the time I was able to drink, party, stay out late, or basically do anything fun, my brother was hours away at college and we didn't get the chance to do any of it either and now my brother has a family so we can't do any of it anyway. I also know how it to lose your best friend in an instant, my cousin was one of my best friends and inspirations/motivations and 4 years ago he passed away from a heart attack and I still haven't recovered and I still haven't picked back up on my dreams, so I give him props for following his dreams and making her proud. Also, this has nothing to do with the video but I never would have expected him to be so young. I didn't think he was my age, 23(well he'll be 23 in December). I'm just now starting to get into Issues and this is the first interview I've seen of anyone in the band. I've known of Issues for a long time, especially Tyler Carter and this interview has given me so much respect for him as a person and in turn that has given me respect for him as a musician.
When a musician, or an artist, or an actor, or really anyone in the public eye speaks this candidly about their life and their struggles, it gives us a glimpse into their humanity. They don't have to do it, they can keep up the impenetrable "rock star" image, but so many choose to be vulnerable and honest with their audience. I'd rather listen to their music because of it. Because it's brave.

I'm just crying so much. This means so much to me. I love his views and I have so a lot more respect for him. What he was saying reminded me a lot of Of Mice & men and how that's what I look up to as a role model .
This man.. I haven't ever really listened to Issues or Tyler.. But wow, this just hit me right in the heart, and I now have total respect for this guy.
I've loved Tyler before this but I have such a new found love and respect for him after watching this. Truly inspirational.

This was definitely inspirational. The last part was my favorite. My grandma was my rock, but she passed in December and I felt lost. She was the only woman who stuck by me through it all. This was definitely a good 11 minutes to sit back and listen to an excellent singers history. WE are glad you stayed on the music trail. You have a voice that shouldn't stop. Keep on, keeping on.
