Depends how far you want your cakes. I have a circular rack for 30mm single shots thats 18 feet in diameter, I use 10 foot ematches set in the center. I'd say the 3ft or 39" ones are ideal. If you use a cheaper module system like the biluscon/happiness/pyroboom etc... you can get away with 4 cakes being in 4 square feet and space the modules themselves out so the 1ft ones are fine. My last show I used 80 10ft ones, 160 3ft ones and 12 1ft ones to light mortar racks.
Hello, I bought some batteries from you, the firework has two wicks. 1 Starter, second spare. If you attach a second battery to the spare wick, will it work? Or what's the best way to do it? Thank you)
Are you talking about one main fuse and then an efire port. If it’s an efire port then use that if you’re using a firing system. The cake can fire backwards as long as there’s no final volley in it which if there’s an efire port there shouldn’t be.
Use a non-sparking brass poke to poke in to the lift. Here is how to make one fast, cheap and easy: ruclips.net/video/KI_fBpgtRto/видео.html E-match is legal if you have an ATF license. Some people will sell it to anyone without proof of license, but that does not make it legal! However, Firewire from MJG works exactly the same but you don't need to get the ATF license, any consumer can buy it. Prepping in the house is certainly poor form, but I admit to having done it on occasion... Poking small diameter tubes can be difficult, the match head with the shroud is too big to get in there, so you can bridge ematch to the visco instead of poking the tube: ruclips.net/video/d9fLAYEuCv4/видео.html
Squibs is not the professional term bud. It's e match or initiators. There's 2 types regulated and non regulated. Squibs is a term used for explosives.
@@PyroJoe23 It doesn't matter. They have a brass awl that you can get pretty cheap. Amazon has them for 15.00 - 19.00. One safety thing, never do this "squibbing" inside your home. My brother and I have been doing semi-professional firework shows for around 20 years, fortunately we only had one major incident and that was a 3" mortar shell exploded in the HDPF tube, thankfully that was all. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't. Incase a cake goes off prematurely you are supposed to have a bucket of water near by that the cake can sit down into incase something happens.
@POrwig come on man, u just have to be right is all. Oh and u also have to let someone know u done did it better and can do it better. But what u fail to realize is the fact u have no videos out there an this guy does makes him way cooler then u or I am. So move it along. Ain’t nobody got time for all tht superior shit.
@@reddye2331 Your ignorance will be your downfall. I am trying to help people not to do certain things the wrong way. I was instructed by an ATF licensed pyro dude who is also a personal friend that I have known for 40 years and I was doing what this guy in this video was doing, and this licensed guy told me not only is this dangerous, but if these fireworks go off in his house when he is doing this, his home insurance will not pay for the damages, because the guy to taught me how to do it right, his father also works for auto and home insurance company of State Farm. Fine I will not "help" this guy make better and safer videos, just because I do not share or have videos does not mean I can not give input.
@POrwig ok so let’s say u are right it’s illegal. And yeah it’s surely not best idea to do in house. But now for against laws. Maybe instead of just getting on here telling people it’s ya can’t do it it’s illegal. Maybe share the law/federal law code so a person can see it’s Truly illegal. Then people like myself won’t feel and or assume ur not like the million other know-it-all’s on the internet comment sections spouting out what they think they should. Either way I could careless. Boredom brought me here. Since I’m older now I wish I could have ever dollar wasted on the fireworks. It’s a huge waste of $$$$ to me. Over priced bs.
Those e matches are illegal and the steel screwdriver is a bad idea. You need to get MJG igniters and a brass poke and do yourself and maybe your house a favor and get an anvil cutter for cutting fuse.
You need to do a little research. E match are illegal unless you have an ATF license. Just like using any type of electronic firing system in New Jersey is illegal without a permit.
Thank you very much for the knowledge, I still hand lit my shows but you've given me new ideas Ty BOOM💥👍
Your welcome! Glad it was helpful, it is allot more prep work but totally worth it. I still enjoy hand lighting once in a while as well
Should use A pyro poke bud instead of using a screwdriver
I just became the 400th subscriber!!
Thank you!!!! Welcome hope you enjoy my channel
Dan needs to make (Stan the pyro man) shirts for me 🤣
lol I’m gonna have him make a shirt for me as well
What’s the recommended length for e-match? Looking at getting a firing system this year.

Where do you get your e fuse
@6:48 lift charge is black powder. and the fuse is visco.

Only use the main fuse. The reserve fuse will cause it to go off backwards it’s for if the cake goes out halfway thru

What do you use for a fireing system
Is it okay to use MagicEffect 12 cues transmitters & e matches for a simple display show?? & how will you know when they're ready??
I don’t see why not. And how will you know what is ready?
Thank you
Your welcome

This was very Valuable Bro 🏆
Are you using a COBRA SYSTEM??
good Im glad. and no I am using a lower end model firing system I will do a demo video in the near future. But I love Cobra systems for sure
This is why I hand light fireworks it so much fun lol instead poking hole in fuse near.fuse lol but that just my opinion lol
New sub bro
Thank you

Thank you I’ll be sure to say it correctly going forward lol
love it
Thank you
You should not use scissors or screwdriver, because they are made from steel and they can create sparks; brass does not make sparks ;-).
NEVER use common tools to do holes where there is black powder. Only use brass spark free tools! 🤦🏻♂️
They are non sparking

@@rhinopyro1142 not true they sell them at my local consumer firework store and I have a license anyways so it doesn’t matter
