Depends how far you want your cakes. I have a circular rack for 30mm single shots thats 18 feet in diameter, I use 10 foot ematches set in the center. I'd say the 3ft or 39" ones are ideal. If you use a cheaper module system like the biluscon/happiness/pyroboom etc... you can get away with 4 cakes being in 4 square feet and space the modules themselves out so the 1ft ones are fine. My last show I used 80 10ft ones, 160 3ft ones and 12 1ft ones to light mortar racks.

Only use the main fuse. The reserve fuse will cause it to go off backwards it’s for if the cake goes out halfway thru

Are you talking about one main fuse and then an efire port. If it’s an efire port then use that if you’re using a firing system. The cake can fire backwards as long as there’s no final volley in it which if there’s an efire port there shouldn’t be.

You need to do a little research. E match are illegal unless you have an ATF license. Just like using any type of electronic firing system in New Jersey is illegal without a permit.

@@PyroJoe23 It doesn't matter. They have a brass awl that you can get pretty cheap. Amazon has them for 15.00 - 19.00. One safety thing, never do this "squibbing" inside your home. My brother and I have been doing semi-professional firework shows for around 20 years, fortunately we only had one major incident and that was a 3" mortar shell exploded in the HDPF tube, thankfully that was all. Just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it won't. Incase a cake goes off prematurely you are supposed to have a bucket of water near by that the cake can sit down into incase something happens.

I was instructed by an ATF licensed pyro dude who is also a personal friend that I have known for 40 years and I was doing what this guy in this video was doing, and this licensed guy told me not only is this dangerous, but if these fireworks go off in his house when he is doing this, his home insurance will not pay for the damages, because the guy to taught me how to do it right, his father also works for auto and home insurance company of State Farm. Just youtube all the Pro Pyro guys out there and they tell you the same thing, do it outside incase something goes wrong. I am not trying to sound like I am smarted than anyone, because I am not. I am trying to help pass on the safety to others. I used to be care free once until I almost lost a limb because I was arrogant in my youth, but I've grown up since and learned to care for life. What if this man had an infant in this home and he did this and the whole house burned down and he was the only one to get out in time. Fine I will not "help" this guy make better and safer videos, just because I do not share or have videos does not mean I can not give input.

@@redblue2358 tnt fireworks is just sad. I usually make my own now and join fireworking clubs where you can work with 1.3g. the normal legal limit for ground salutes in 1.4g consumer fireworks is just 50 milligrams. In 1.3g it can be well over 5 grams especially with good dark al instead of the pathetic atomized aluminum tnt uses. Wayyyyy more fun
