Of all the cards, I’d rather have the Honus Wagner. That’s been an iconic card in the hobby for over a century. The other few just 10 years. Even in 1909 that wagner was a white wale for collectors.
@@santaclause3487 No you take the Wagner and keep the rest of the money and put it in the bank. Yeah obviously if someone’s got the choice between free $15 million card and a free $8 million card you’re going to take the more expensive one
That LeBron Logoman card from 300k in 2016 to 15 million today is insane, but an absolute unicorn. Interestingly, 300k invested in Bitcoin in 2016 is a cool $30 million (liquid) today. 2016 was a nice year to put a large sum of cash to work.
Just imagine that Wagner in a PSA 8-10!!! That LBJ is ridiculous wow!! A big card does not describe it!! I would take the 10-15 mill in a heartbeat but I'm also not rich either so I'm guessing the person who owns it does not worry bout money!!
Yeah, that's why I don't really collect rookie cards now 😆 there are so many modern rookie cards in existence and it's not gonna beat the rarity of the vintage ones. I just focus on numbered cards /99 and below.
Even with all of the Lebron 1/1 Logoman qualities, I think ultimately Ultimate Collection value will fall below Exquisite. Design wins the day. And LeBron is number three currently behind Kobe, MJ, that's with him still playing. Add in Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain long term. Giannis. Not as much hobby love as Curry. Wildly overvalued, my take.
I agree with your assessment of the card, but Kobe #2 of all time? He’s top 20, maybe 15. I don’t like LeBron, but that doesn’t cloud my judgment. The dude is #2 of all time.
I just picked up a 1992 Score The Franchise Mickey Mantle Auto #26/2000 signed for a tad over $600. There are probably still thousands of unopened 92 score out there. I collect older hall of fame autographs.. this guys nowadays will sign hundreds of thousands of cards over their lifetimes. Not many Mantles out there.
First, my apology for writing earlier that the content for the national was lacking in lieu of a pack war with Ken G. We're now post-National and something fresh comes up. Thanx Geoff. If you have more? I'm looking forward to it. Good show on picking the "bigs." A good topic? How about talking with "old school" collectors who don't get how a Doncic 1/1 can sell for over 4 million and it's not 100 yrs old. IMO, a good investment and its age are irrelevant but more a function of the scarcity/demand for that card or item.
i had a 2017 panini contenders 9/10 championship ticket oncard mahomes that graded out a BGS 9 Auto 10... i made the very big mistake of selling it for $1,650 in 2018 before mahomes ever got his start... sniff sniff i still have the BGS paperwork and a picture lmao... i wonder what that card would be worth now...
so mr Sports card collector. i have a question for you. since you know panini so well why would they give away a 1 of 1 Kobe / Durant immaculate auto which clearly should have been inserted into a pack 🤔. Instead they gave it to Durant as a gift and yes they tried to.keep it quite but thst didnt work
‘84 Star Co Jordan, In PSA 10 (if such a card existed, which I don’t believe it does) would go for millions. I need to see if I can find a BGS pop count of that card. Even a BGS 9 would command huge money, though not a million.
@@momentumcharting6700 I know there are some Jordan 1/1’s out there. Just wondering what makes LeBron worth so much especially with his product on the free fall due to his political issues?

it graded out as Centering- 10, edges-8.5, corners-9, surface- 9.5, 9 mint auto 10
It has to be the 52 Topps Mantle PSA 10. It's easily an 8-figure card 😁
