Genius - Thanks you so so much for helping. Youngest child dropped their phone so been erasing my S21 to let them use, as I also have an S23 Ultra. Important SMS message on the S21 and had no clue how to save them. Some from family friends who have since passed away. Your video helped me back them up and put them all on my S23. I really can't thank you enough.

I use Textra for my messaging app not the default messaging app that came with the Android phone. Does it copy the Textra App as well? After I select SMS backup and restore as the default will I have the choice to change it to Textra? If I selected Phone log, will all my phone numbers and previous calls look the same as my old phone?

it really works. I tried getting my phone provider to transfer over my texts, and the service rep couldn't get it to work, but when I tried this, it did exactly like the video. if you have a lot of messages like i did, it will take maybe two hours to transfer everything over.

I'm doing this for a friend that had 166,500 messages. Some have started to come back. Do you think they will eventually start to pop back up over time? Does this carry over pictures sent within the texts too? The process took a while to back up and restore since they're was so many messages, but everything seemed to go as your video showed, didn't have any errors, so I feel like it worked, but I don't see all the texts yet. Was hoping they might start to come in as the days go by.
