Michael "Halty" Halterman is a true believer in SOF and in SOF transition. He leads with his heart and intellect in all efforts and is such a gift to all those who've gone through or worked with The Honor Foundation.
There was a very small FOB south of Herat called Camp Lawton inside of the larger NATO base Camp Stone. Marsoc shared the compound with Army SF. Worked together very well.
This guy is so upbeat it's contagious. Impressive career and more importantly, Impressive man. I can see this helping a lot people move forward in a more positive way. I appreciate another solid episode.
Great story and podcast. This dude is one humble warrior and such an asset to the Marine Corps community both fleet and special operations. To all of you thank you for your service
Marsoc, MEU & FMRF Devil Dog MGTF will surely play a huge role in the South China Sea most specially in & around The PI as they have a long history working relationship with The PI Marines & PI Socom
Really enjoyed this and wish it could have been longer. Would love to hear more about the schools he attended and more about the post-retirement training his group offers. And ooh rah from a fellow 0352!
This is a GREAT interview guys, well done and its great to see MARSOC getting some exposure and such a good overview on life outside the military ‘bubble’ - infact I would suggest that career advisory/plpanning like that being offered is useful to all, not just vets :-)
I can answer the question regarding Marines being flooded with BUD/S - it’s true, but not how you think it may have happened. It was almost like an open recruitment in mid 2009-2010. My corpsmen was seated but lost out on it due to a deployment we had coming up. They offered the boat spaces as a TAD to a lot of us, and from what I knew, it was Marine Corps wide.
Happy New Year Team House, Marine Raiders are the baddest silent professional Shadow Warriors and Special Leatherneck Operators defending freedom and America against all enemies everywhere by any means necessary to protect the American people dream and way of life.🦅🌎⚓🎖

What’s up with the description?

Why does the description have his pronouns as "they" and "their"....huh?
