    Saeid Alihosseini, 105kg+ lifter for Iran, training over the course of four days at the 2017 World Championships training hall. Some notes:
    -We will do similar multi-day compilations videos for Behdad Salimi, Sohrab Moradi and Kianoush Rostami (although Rostami was injured and he didn't go particularly heavy for the most part). We were attempting to capture all four of their workouts on each given day, so we have a bit less of their warmups and in between shots like chalking up due to the demands of shooting 4 sessions at once. We also missed a couple videos here and there, but nothing important. If we did miss something like their top set, it will be noted in the video. But we skipped some lighter stuff here and there if one of the other three was doing something heavy/significant.
    -We don't have enough footage for any of the other Iranian lifters to do any other single Iranian lifter compilation video but we might do an "everyone else" Iran compilation video at some point.
    -Alihosseini had an injured left knee (he's since had surgery, or so we are told), so his workouts were a bit unusual and light, by his standards. This is probably not what his training hall would've looked like had he been healthy.
    -When the video cuts to Lasha around 11:36, that was during Lasha's 210/240 heavy session. Alihosseini was watching it quite often. The other Iranians were watching, but not as closely or as obviously.
    -On Day 3 (4 days out), Alihosseini forgot his Romaleos, so he lifted in his normal shoes until Behdad finished at which point he borrowed Behdad's shoes. I'm pretty sure he also forgot his straps on Day 1 (6 days out) as he was borrowing straps from Ali Miri.
    -He did train when he was 1 and 2 days out, but we had other things we had to do so we weren't able to attend the training sessions. But it's very unlikely that he went heavier than 190/210 after his 3 day out "heavy day" (heavy in quotations because it wasn't heavy, but it was his heaviest).
    -His instagram is here: / saeid.alihosseini
    -The intro and outro music is Johnny Rock "Back in Time" / johnny-rock-back-in-time

    Saeid was one of the most talented guys who never got a reward who deserved.
    Before banning on 2009 he set 3 unofficial records:
    215 + 270= 485
    12 years before Lasha!

      2009. Unfortunately no video. I am searching for the news of the time. I need to ask him to verify that.

    The biggest problem with this weight class is that it's really hard to maintain this kind of body. Forget training, just moving around when you're this heavy is just tiring. No, it's not about conditioning. If you training that often in a high level of intensity, you're already conditioned as your body could.

    • @hookgrip
      @hookgrip  6 лет назад

      it's actually fairly low priority for us because he didn't do anything too interesting. salimi will happen before that, but we are currently organizing which training sessions we'll post in february and i don't think rostami will be on it. hoping to do 5-6 training hall vids in feb, 8 at the upper end.

      Imran Shah yeah, Lasha is something else. In that constellation right now (with all the banned athletes) he has not really any competitors that can really „threaten“ him. But as you said: let‘s see what 2018 is holding up. :)
