Somehow I think kids were gonna get clued in that their elders and those charged with their care were not/are not the most emotionally stable people on the planet, with or without the ill-conceived covid response. Kids know when their parents are anxious and aimless and looking for an excuse to lose their minds. I've been watching this come on for decades. For years and years I've watched parents teaching their kid that every stranger is a potential child molester. Did anyone wonder what the psychological consequences of that would be? Now we have generations of kids who think everyone is guilty until proven innocent. How's that working out for society? When parents could have just taught their kids to not be blinded by fear and simply tune into their instincts and be a little weary if their guts told them something was off. That's all anyone can ever do anyway. And I saw it with 9/11, when parents were wringing their hands and pleading with heaven as to how to explain it to their kids. You don't. You do what parents throughout all time have done, you tell your kids that these are adult problems that aren't for them to worry about. When was the last time you heard a so-called adult say that to a kid? For me it was probably 50 years ago now. Now kids are no only acutely aware of every problem on Earth, they are endless saddled with them - to the shame of the parents who did that to them.

My question is, who is making the guidelines these days and for the benefit of whom? As Neil says our children are under attack, so who exactly should we respect? I won't respect anyone who thinks the sexualisation of children is acceptable and maybe....ummn definitely we've been a bit too respectful of these (insert word of choice, mine is scum) so maybe it's time to be a bit less 'respectful ' to anything/one that would hurt a child. Respect comes with accountability, we definitely need some of that.

No he doesn't. This is subjective reasoning and any educated fool can see this...

@@davideldred.campingwilder6481 Inappropriate response, Who cares whether you're better educated, as you seem to imply.

@@alexj7934 you missed my point, and learned very little. My point (Again) this is subjective reasoning (For get the other bit) and he's basically saying. 'I like blue, bucause blue is good'...Only, he rants it off in a very cool like manner, with his charming scottish accent and his piercing eyes conveying simple realism. This, my friends, is pure and utter sophism...a clever but false argument, especially one used deliberately to deceive.

And now we're freezing in our homes, frightened to put the heating on.
Thanks Neil, you have kept me sane during these years of tyranny.
