Hope you kept it! I have several and love them
I did. I love it. We use it daily.
I’m listening to mine on the jazz station. No issues on this model one. Liked and subbed!
Thanks. I mainly review dashcams now but I appreciate the sub!
I hope you kept it. Why does nobody talk about the reducing gear on the tuner - absolutely brilliant!
I did. We use it daily. I love that radio
@@MikeDancy I just bought one on eBay. Can't wait till it arrives.
this is awesome - i love you and i hate you. I've been hunting for a use tivoli at Goodwill for a few months now, it would be a dream to find one of these for even $20 used. congrats!
More people hate me than love me. I still have it and it’s awesome.
I'll offer you $16 for it. Double your money! I'd seriously keep that if it landed in my hands. Great find Mike.
Thanks. I think I’ll keep it :)
Long experienced electronics & radio tech here. The dark marks on the ribbon cable, at the 4:52 time, look to me like overheating from a soldering iron, that was probably touching up a solder joint on the board and the tech got it too close to the cable.
Sweet find. I picked up one from the 'bay, non-working, for about $15; no audio out the speaker, but receives fine and I can hear it thru a headphone; something open in the audio path. Shouldn't be hard to fix.
I also got this for 7$ at goodwill 😂 was gonna pass but looked nice and looked it up
I may need to pick up one of the Model One units from eBay. Sometimes I just want to turn a radio on without having to go through a Bluetooth or Sonos app routine. I imagine this unit sounds like the old school solid state table radios (like Zenith) that some of us may remember our grandparents having. I've always been curious about the Model One ever since it appeared over 20 years ago.
It sounds great. Just fills the room. We use it every day
Where can I purchase it in India . Or can you send the same to me I beat the cost of it
There's one selling with a 2nd speaker for $50. Is it worth it? And a subwoofer priced separately.
I think that's a good deal for $50. These are $299 CDN NEW around here
I’ve had my model one and 2nd speaker for 18 years now. And they still sound and look beautiful! I hope you picked up that bargain!
Nice video! How does the "rec out" port work? Does the internal speaker still play music when you plug something into it?
It’s 100% working. I sent it back to Tivoli since it was under warranty and they sent me a new one. :)
@@MikeDancy i mean, how do you use that port? What is its purpose?
I do not use it. I didntbeven know it was there
@@MikeDancy ok, thanks
Hi. I have a exact like that one and i took it apart and i plugged a few wires to try to fix it and now i dont know witch one is the speaker output connection😅
Whoops. I forget if I took that one apart or not
@@MikeDancy don’t worry i found out by using a multimeter😄
Hi can you link a product of this? Thanks man.
sure can! amzn.to/3LDogFv
I just ordered one on Amazon for $260 CND.
That's right!
You're lucky!
An RF choke; it’s a kind of filter.
Keeper!
yeah, it's a keeper. I have it upstairs and we use it often. My one gripe with it is that it's a spinning tuner so for me to change stations, it's always a pain to change it back. I know, I'm lazy..
Hard to believe, but I got a Tivoli Model One radio, for $0.00 My radio is white and like new. I work in a donation center. The world sometimes gives us beautiful things.
The only problem with this quality radio is that it picks up almost no stations without a good antenna.
Surely that’s not real wood?
It's called a Ferrite.
I hear that they bite and carry rabies.
I just bought one for 10 at the thrift
Sweet find
Wow
Got one for ten at the thrift once a lifetime find
Sweet deal. I use this one every single day. It sounds great.
What is even funnier is that Tivoli would ask $200 for those awful radios. Just when I thought that was the funny You go and call a mono radio a stereo!
