Paranormal Activity: Next Of Kin
Lights Out, The Possession(2012), Ouija1&2, Mama, The Exorcism of Emily Rose (scared the heck out of me), to name a few.

Fun Fact: Adult Katie had planned to move the family to that house because it's the same exact house from the third movie and they had it rebuilt exactly the way it was to cover up what happened all those years ago. That's also why Katie and Kristie were able to connect with Leila so easily.
There's an alternate ending where the ritual actually succeeds and they were able to successfully capture Toby. Then it fast forwards to 4 months later where Leila asks there parents for a little brother for her birthday. Than it fast forwards again to Leila playing her two "friends" who were later revealed to be younger Katie and Kristie
There are also no events that explain how exactly the camera was built
The 7th movie (Next of Kin) is watchable, but it has no relation to the main storyline before it. So Blumhouse is planning on making a new 8th movie that will connect back to the main storyline.

One of my favorites! I saw a hilarious reaction to it yesterday, “popcorn reactions & then I believe his name is “Zzavid” also reacted to it & his reaction is HILARIOUS if u haven’t seen it.
Have u seen “Host” the zoom horror found footage movie about a zoom call during lockdown gone bad? It’s SO awesome , the backstory on how it was made, timeframe etc is jsut as amazing & the few reactions to it are hillarious seeing some of the biggest jumps and screams I’ve seen from reactors. It’s one of my favorite horror movies along with “Annabelle: creation “ , hereditary & the taking of Deborah Logan. All worth a watch. 😊

Rec is a wild, scary ride, especially combined with Rec 2. I loved As Above So Below, because the main characters actually used their brains and, didn't just run around like headless chickens.

On the subject of characters in a horror movie turning the lights on when theyre scared, I highly recommend Lights Out. One of my all time favorite horror movies
Classic!!! So genius to pray on our childhood fear of the dark most kids have at some point or another that still stays in the back of our Subconscious as adults.

As Above So Below and Grave Encounters for sure!!!! They are so good
"Grave Encounters" and its sequel are awesome! I also enjoyed "As Above, So Below" and "Sanatorium". On the more alien side is "Area 51" and "Alien Abduction" which are both cool but also pretty hit or miss. I liked them though. "V/H/S" is a cool one that's a collection of horror shorts instead of a single movie.
Outside of horror, "Chronicle" is still my request for a found footage movie. One of my all time favorite movies in general just cause it's so cool.

Grave Encounters was one of the first horror movies that I remember watching. And it was pretty good.
What’s the alien abductions movie that came out “based off real psychologist recorded sessions” that happened up in Alaska where people were seeing “owls” but the found footage movie claims to be aliens disguising their faces owl like? Man I’m drawing a blank but it’s pretty creepy, was way creepier when it first came out and it was 100% believed the video images that they cut in were real and still people say they are real but others say BS. Destroy my hope like Paranormal activity 1 & the Blair witch project. 😢

I saw a movie i forgot about on RUclips’s free movies “the possession” that’s based off a real set of events that’s really freakin creepy, be cool to see a reaction to it.
I totally agree with ninetailedbrush. This one was a bit over the top. That's the concept of "found footage" that it should be as realistic as it can be. Less is more. This one reminds me more of Poltergeist. Also the demon becomes human which destroys every chance of another prequel. However, there is another paranormal activity from 2021, what is really unusable in my opinion and it doesn't even refer to the previous parts at all. But there are still a bunch of good found footage movies out there for you guys to explore. 😉

Agreed, in #1 it was so beleiveable and creepy becasue it was just mainly audio, and never really seeing what it was , just the hooves foot prints that gave me chills! Her voice when she’s possessed and tells him she wants to stay at the house and you hear the slightest overlap of a demonic voice over hers, Katie’s scary standing for hours staring at him, terrifying becasue people actually do that! My daughter used to sleep walk into me and my ex’s bedroom and stand next to my ex (her mom) and stare at her eyes wide open, no talking or moving just stare and you’d wake up seeing her standing there in the dark, man it was scary! She’d beg me to go walk her back to bed and tuck her in witho it breaking her becasue if u did, sometimes she’d wake up in a night terror and scream so I’d walk her back and she’d look at me and stare , always scary becasue she’s 100% asleep and out but looking at me lol next morning never knew she did it. My buddies daughter would stand up in her bed and stare at the ceiling corner in her sleep , eyes open tho , same spot every time for hours not moving , sometimes she’d laugh and occasionally jsut start screaming in night terror. I can’t imagine having a girlfriend , adult that stands and stares like that, they don’t remember anything so the fear of them grabbing a knife or soenthing might be a relationship ending sleepwalk action lol
As Above, So Below is one of my favorites. Would love to get your take on it
Great Found Footage: Host (2020), Taking of Deborah Logan, Hell House LLC, Creep, As Above So Below, Exists, Afflicted, [REC]. Two other ones that are REALLY good but more slow burn (i.e. maybe not the best to react to??) are Lake Mungo and Savageland.
Yeah "afflicted" is great.
Fun fact: This movie was in 3D during the section when we see through the ghost camera which added a cool effect imo. Personally love all the paranormal activity movies. It's interesting how all the movies tied into each other despite some seeming unrelated.
Recommendation: V/H/S series, Cloverfield, and Grave Enounters series just to name a couple.

For me, this was by far the best of all the movies of this franchise. We saw something, very often that is, and it was legit creepy. I like it.

The visual effects for the demon were done by Industrial Light And Magic
VHS is that type of found footage with a back story. Creepy stuff
Quarantine and the fourth kind are my favorite found footage style movies. The fourth kind scared the living daylights out of me and my husband.
Oh man “Next of Kin” is awesome!! It may not be hard connected but it’s great in my opinion.
There is another movie calls Paranormal Activity Tokio night, but a don't know if it's canon, in that movie they mention Katie too, but it's the only reference to the main movies

Last week I watched the new Horror movie ‘The Invitation’ (2022), which in my opinion, is the ideal movie to watch on Halloween night. I loved it. I just didn’t want it to end.

* Devil’s Pass (2013). Based this found footage on an actual event called ‘The Dyatlov Pass’
These movies give me the same spooky vibes as the Quarantine movies. You guys should check those out, I really liked them but they're pretty underrated.
I loved both As above so below and Rec 1 AND 2 (3 and 4 are horrible). Another more straight forward found footage horror you could try is Grave Encounters!

Paranormal entity was a very intense one. I highly recommend if you want to genuinely feel scared/disturbed lmao. I couldn’t sleep well for awhile.

Personally I think the problem with the franchise is that with each film the story/lore gets more and more convoluted! Clearly the first film was supposed to be it story-wise, nothing else planned ahead of time and as such with each film that was added they had to force a way to make it fit, to give a reason for the film to exist. It kind of works with the 2nd and 3rd films, but after that they are definitely twisting things to make them fit in to the Paranormal Activity world. I feel that as a result the overall story becomes confusing and overly-complicated.
Now that you have seen Tobi I am satisfied 😌 lol. Also idk if it counts as found footage but I like the movie end of watch. My sister showed it to me. Cop body cam footage
if you guys are into found footage I really recommend The Visit by M. Night Shyamalan, it's a really cool thriller and the less you know about it the better. Another great one is Chronicle and this one is really cool because is not a horror found footage film, which we don't see that often and it's interesting to see how they do it as the story progresses, another one that the less you know the better. =)

Its not really...horror its more of a gothic horror mixed with a tragic love story

A found footage series I'd recommend is Hell House LLC. At least the first one although the second one is decent. VHS and Grave Encounters are good too. 🎃

Oh gosh, I accidentally watched The Ghost Dimension before Marked. What I do not like is that all of these families just remind me of having material possessions but almost no spiritual knowledge. The one exception was the grandmother who in Marked took away the "Ouija board" game with the lights the teens were playing with and tried to help the guy with prayers and egg rolling. Also, I don't like that there is no real explanation between movie to movie and then we are left not knowing what the whole thing is really about. That makes me angrier than anything else. Like, what? What and why? And I spent my money on something that doesn't explain itself in the end. God ok. Entertaining but sorry, ultimately empty! I like your guys reactions to the whole series though.🥳 Nine Tail Brush just laughing at ultimate evil just cracks me up for real. Good job guys!😊

Man I loved that one but now being a dad of young daughters it terrifies me , that and “the Lovely Bones” I can’t watch anymore casue it makes me worry about my daughters 24/7.

If you guys want a great found footage horror movie for Halloween I highly recommend Hell House LLC, no horror movie has creeped me out as Hell house has in a long time. Very underrated, not many people know about it but it's worth it I promise you.

This movie was a GOOD, bad trip! The whole freaking house was compromised! I wonder why Tobi keeps successfully luring all these kids, though. He looks scary as hell from what we've seen. Does his appearance change depending on who looks at him? Robbie, Kristi, AND Leila all saw him as a big friend--not monstrous at all. I wonder what they saw. ._.

The last half wasn't too bad, but the first half is boring as hell. I only got through it to see if it connects. It has a couple good moments but there are much better movies to react to.

Now that Halloween is approaching, you should finish watching the Child's Play series. BRIDE OF CHUCKY, the last proper Chucky movie that came out in theatres and is the best Chucky movie. There are many more sequels, but they're mostly straight to DVD.
