  • FOX Sports’ lead college football analyst Joel Klatt reveals his final Mock Draft ahead of this week’s NFL Draft. Joel weighs in on the controversy surrounding the #2 pick and whether Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud should be selected by the Houston Texans. He also answers the questions of where Florida QB Anthony Richardson will land in the Top 10 and how high Texas RB Bijan Robinson will go. Later in his Mock, Klatt has the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys both picking up offensive weapons and the Kansas City Chiefs finding a way to surround Patrick Mahomes with another dynamic playmaker. Then Joel breaks down the impact of Colorado selling out their nationally televised Spring Game and how the hiring of Deion Sanders has already had a huge effect not only on the team on the field but the university as a whole.

The S2 test does *not* measure whether someone makes the correct decision. It measures whether someone *perceives* and processes spacial information quickly and accurately.
If the offense is badly designed or they've been poorly coached or the other players are in the wrong spots or the QB can't make accurate throws or has bad footwork, then a high S2 score won't help.
    Edit:
Low S2 score is like weak arm strength: it's a way to disqualify someone, but having a high score doesn't guarantee anything because you could be lacking in other ways.

IMO the reason people are using the S2 score against Stroud is because it matches up with Stroud's poor play against pressure. The test is designed to test your ability to track and process multiple stimuli at once and when he feels the pressure he loses his ability to play good football. When under pressure he grades as the 97th off 144 qualifying QBs per PFF, with a sub 42% completion rate even with all that talent around him. Now his Georgia game was very impressive but it was the singular outlier in his two years as a starter.

All that money and these universities are only granting tenure to one out of 3. These are not universities, these are pro sports franchises with a side hustle in tertiary education. Excellent mock draft.

CJ had the best receiving core in football every year he played. It's hard to evaluate him. Was he really that good, or were a roster full of nfl receivers just wide open all the time ??

Look at the numbers. Will Levis smokes Stroud on 3rd and 4th down pressure. These are the money downs. This is what QBs get paid $50M a year for.
Stroud Was unbelievably bad on these. Like a Baker Mayfield bad.

Klatt, Johnston to the chargers makes no sense. The entire issue is their corps doesn't stretch the field or get separation. They need speed at WR, not size and contested catch ability.

Media needs to stop making Bijan to the Eagles a thing. It's never going to be a thing. Hurts already has a ton of weapons, and our defense is getting old and expensive. This pick is going to be defense.

Bryce Young played behind the best O line in college football for most of his career. It's not that hard to find an open receiver when your line protects you like a brick wall. Let's see how he does in Carolina- my bet- not so good. I can't wait til he plays the Cowboys, Bucs, Saints and Jaguars- then we'll see how well he "processes information":) I don't think Young is that much better than Stetson Bennett.

No shot Buffalo takes a RB in first round. They would grab Darnell Washington before Jahmyr Gibbs since Washington can flex to help them block for the RB's they already have and potentially catch balls. No brainer there.
